PRINCESS CRUISES SKY PRINCESS - I review the Chef's Table Lumiere on Sky Princess. This unique food experience is truly memorable and of of the best dining experiences I had with Princess Cruises. After a champagne reception, we toured the cruise ship's kitchens before settling down for a 6-course fine fining menu where I was joined by Ainsley Harriott. The Chef's Table is an extraordinary treat for cruise guests who enjoy top quality food or simply want to treat themselves and of course it is a perfect culinary journey for any special occasion. For just $139pp you can indulge in champagne and hors d’oeuvres, followed by an extravagant multi-course dinner created and hosted by the ship’s executive chef. This experience made my cruise vacation even more amazing that in already was and there was me thinking cruise food was not going to be this good.

Just love your food descriptions, finally someone who says more than ooh, aah, so juicy ... Plus you were the only person who seemed to actually review the foods rather than trout pouting posing from others. Plus you respected the privacy of others, well played. Also been interesting to see life aboard a cruise ship, ive only ever had a lunch aboard, in port in Liverpool a few years ago, which was deliciously presented, excellent service etc but the ship was old and in dire need of some tlc, i believe it has since been scrapped . Really enjoyed this series aboard a ship. Well done.

If i was on that table i would rather interact with the people than have a go-pro shoved all over the place spoiling the whole night for everyone.... just so he can make content for his vloggs And he absolutely filmed practically everybody, NO privacy for anyone. He stated he doesn't want to film Ainsley but then goes on to show his face in alot of shots

We are on sky princess right now and I have to say the main dinning rooms service and food is disappointing but sabitines was amazing food so going back. Felt there is not enough staff in main dinning rooms and food has been lukewarm so far

TY, Joe. My husband and I embark on Sky Princess in a month. Can you remember which night of the week you dined at the Chef Lumierre Table (e.g. Wed. or Thurs.)? I plan to sign up for that dining experience first thing when we board, but I am also trying to schedule other dinners that week. I just can't find information about which day it is usually offered. Cheers.

My pleasure! I just asked about that for you and apparently it varies from cruise to cruise so your best bet would be to there straight away and get it booked. As I hope the video showed, it really was worthwhile. Don’t miss The Catch by Rudi too (I have a video there) and say hi to Kitcha front of house at that restaurant for me :)

@applelake1939 we decided not to try this afterall, on our 12/2023 Sky Princess sail. But IIRC, it's best to sign up (for consideration, mind you) as soon as you embark. Pick up a house phone and call dining, or at guest services desk ( long line possible) or if you're a full suite guest, then your concierge in the concierge lounge (I you have one) are your best bets. And from what I researched, refrain from any diet requests (unless you have to!) because that might affect whether you're selected for the meal. Just signing up does not guarantee a spot at the table. You are selected.

Excellent video, Joe. You seemed to be the only person around that expensive table who was intent on doing a serious food review rather than being an Instagram poseur. I’ve said it before but I really feel that you have the beating of Mark Wiens in the food commentary stakes. Mark is entraining but constant eye-rolling and food shock-jockery can be a little tiresome at times. Not so your good self. You keep it real for those of us value politeness and humility.
