As a US citizen (and hence, US taxpayer), I find it insulting and infuriating that the US is seeking to promote infrastructure in other regions of the world in order to curry overseas favor, when infrastructure back home in the US is universally crumbling and in a state of abject decrepitude. The US needs to invest its US taxpayer dollars back at home FIRST before it seeks to invest US taxpayer dollars overseas.

Two observation here. Firstly, since there will be no intra-organization conflict allowed within SCO member states as rule #1, so either China or Russia, or any other member state, alone or combined, can act as mediator bridging dialogue and defuse tension if ever surfaces up. Secondly, BRICS+ country can engage trade within BRICS organization as well as BRICS+ friendly countries with local currency settlement as we speak, and the financial task force composed by department of Finance and central bank of all BRICS+ countries are requested to propose a BRICS currency plan to work around dollar-Euro-Sterlin-Yuan system which will definitely draw attention around the globe.

Algorithms recommend what we like to watch, and if we're not actively looking for different points of views, most likely we'll be exposed to views we agree with most of the time. I’ve been trying to watch various channels to try to make comprehensive understanding of the world. I’ve made many videos teaching Chinese language vividly and in a humorous way. China offered flight serve and hosted summit between Xi of China and Assad of Syria during 2022 Asian Games held in Hangzhou China 2023/09/24 which shows China is playing another big move (other than China’s commitment to assist re-construct and reinvigorate Syria) by trying defuse tension between Iran and Israel and find settlement thru two-state policy between Israel and Palestine. Both moves can NOT be accomplished without ending civil war first inside Syria and enforcing US troop to leave Syria, and in the end provide security agreement between Iran and Israel thru Syria to trigger implementation of two-state policy between Israel and Palestine.

It would be a sad day indeed if any Arab country sacrifice the Palestinian people just for the sake of having better diplomatic relations with Israel. Unless and until Israel return every inch of Palestinian land to the Palestinian people, no Arab country should normalise relations with Israel.

One point I disagree - on Iran, it has been more like the US having a very hostile "relationship" for decades, since the Iranian Revolution! ... who actually pulled out of the JCPOA? Who carried assassination/s of high level personnel of the Iranian govt? Who carried out, still carrying out the "sanctions" ... & lead the geopolitical/economic/financial excommunication of Iran?

Firstly, despite there rests no responsibility and financial burden and schedule of implementation on all parties signed up to the so-called India-Middle East-Europe (IMER) trading route project announced during G20, both Russia and China had openly address their willingness to use this route to promote trade with Middle East and Europe. So this can NOT be viewed as counter China’s BRI but an enhancement. Secondly, IMER does NOT talk about the best qualified construction builder (which is China only) of the desert railway or receiving port at various docking points along the IMER, so IMER will serve only as another pipe dream or just another PR narrative in support of Biden’s presidential campaign 2024.
