Silverwing is a pretty docile female and she's used to be close to people. That's why she was sweet to Ulf. She has been Vermithor's mate for a long time, she laid eggs before. Silverwing and Vermithor are also Syrax (Rhaenyra's female dragon) mother and father.
Ulf is Daemon's half-brother. Hugh is his cousin. Silverwing is renowned as being relatively docile for a dragon. All the tamings were very different. Seasmoke rejected the choice of Steffon Darklyn and chose a new rider for himself. Vermithor tested Hugh to show strength by saving the girl and sacrificing himself. Silverwing just playfully nudged Ulf a few times, smelled him and said "Yep, this one's good." Sometimes Dragons just aren't interested, even in those with all the right characteristics. Seasmoke wasn't interested in Rhaena, but perhaps Sheepstealer will be.
@@RAMI-m4w he married at 18 and Alyssa was 15. They were together all the time before... Close siblings. If you reference fire and blood it doesn't happen. There were people claiming Nettles plot was divided b/w Ulf and Rhaena. So Ulf might get the non-Valyrian Ancestry storyline
In case you get confused just remember the old King Jahaereys and his wife Queen Alsanne had 12 kids, this epsiode confirms that Hugh mother was Saera Targaryen sister to Baelon Targaryen also he was known as Baelon the brave during his time. And he's the father of Viserys & Daemon, while Ulf is the bastard son of Baelon well at least that's what we know so far base on what he said. Also the two dragons that yahh saw in this episode were dragons that belong to the old king and his wife, Vermittor(male) & Sliverwing(female).
Finally! Reactors who actually understand where Jace was coming from. Most reactors i've watched were just emphasizing his tone and the mongrel line without analyzing what he's saying.
They had the dragonriders claim Vermithor first because he guards His and Silverwings Lair, they are mates. Ulf is lucky enough to sneak in when Vermithor wasn't guarding their cave.
The Daemon and Oscar scenes actually made perfect sense. Until each house/group officially pledges their loyalty, they technically do not have to follow any orders given to them by the royal family. Willem Blackwood immediately starting to follow Daemon’s orders is an immediate red flag for all the other river houses because it’s like “well yeah they’re the Royal family, but they’re still not in charge of us”. The other houses have shown that they demand respect, and were Daemon to step in and not execute Willem, who he charged with all the savagery, the other River houses would know that he has no care for them and still believes he can do whatever he wants without their knowledge or approval. It’s sort of like “you were following his orders and his permission yes, but none of that was his to give and you knew it.” But in no way was Daemon thinking “yes , I made it off the hook”. We know for a fact that he really only cares about loyal men, so dispatching the Blackwood really did get to him. It’s a bit symbolic as well - his first order as the “King” ended in absolute utter failure.
I get where youre coming from but thats not really how it works. Daemon is King consort so they DO have to obey him by the laws of Westeros regardless of if they swear an oath to him directly or not. Its just that theyre in a time or war so they can "choose" to not follow him and suffer whatever consequences may or may not come. Its like the law, you do have to legally follow it but if you think a law is BS you can choose to fight it.
@@trippersigs2248 Yeah exactly. The misconception seems to be that respect is somehow owed and not earned. The River houses would have legit never bent the knee to them had House Tully not pledge to Viserys - for GOOD REASON most likely because back then Viserys was a great king during his reign, except towards the end. You got my point - it is just in a weird wartime where they DO technically have the ability to choose to follow the Greens instead and disobey the rightful heir should they disapprove of her, regardless of their oaths. You pledge an oath to an amazing king, but what happens if the next in line is the total opposite and a monster? No choice but to abandon your oath right? It’s all about how far people are willing to go and how they feel about the world.
Ulf is half brother of King Viserys and Prince Daemon Hugh is Saera son who is related to Viserys and Daemon parents. "She used to tell me I was no different to her brother’s boys Viserys and Daemon,"😊
My favorite part of this episode was young Oscar Tully. The young lord stood on business. Big props to the young actor for delivering an awesome performance.
Daemon got absolutely owned by a rookie. He got reduced to an excutioner. Oscar recognized he had all the leverage very early on. Curious whats in store for this young man.
It's great they showed the power dynamics and why they exist. No one man can hold all the power. The king can't deal with all the noble houses directly. That's why the lords paramount exist (previously kings themselves). They deal with all the micro managing and answer to the king only. However because they have so much power over their domain, they can't just be commanded around. Which means the king must serve them so they serve him. Daemon getting the riverlands together rested exclusively on Oscar keeping the oath of his family, because Daemon himself made awful politics through his own actions.
@6:05 yasssssssssssss Queens LOL so good! all of the dragons are so cool! I cannot WAIT for the finale on Sunday, I am especially looking forward to seeing Alicent's other youngest Son, because he rides my favorite dragon, Tessarion, it isn't a very big dragon at the moment, however it has a crazy beautiful blue color AND it shoots out blue flames sorta like the dragons did in GOT when the knight king possessed them! anyways, looking forward to your reaction of the finale! then it will be a long, LONG wait until season 3, Sad.
Ladies remember two things: Mysaria, you talked about her ambitions and looking out for herself, think of this, she knows the game, do you think she knew bringing in those lowborns to claim a dragon, would bring issue with Jace's future claims, she knows Jace is a bastard, think about that. Hugh is loyal to whomever keeps their word, he tried to get to Aegon before Aemond tookover, do you think Aegon would have kept his word if reminded and what will Rhaenyra promise Hugh for his service, think about that
Either ways, she actually cares for the smallfolk so whatever she does and who she is against is likely more justifiable than the other characters. So i dont think she is going to be bad.
Oscar's grandfather name is Grover, his father's name is Kermit. Grover, Kermit, and Oscar Tully, why has Deamond been losing his mind their season, cuz he been dealing with Muppets 🤣.
Guys. Daemon isn't a physco for crazies sake. He loves his family & commends loyalty above all. That's why he backed the good twin after confronting him in episode 1. Daemon didn't want to kill his 1st wife. But he also didn't want to be married to her & divorce really isn't a big option in this story. Honestly I can't think of many 'Divorces' that go down in this world. So in order to remarry his wife had to die. Anyway you should stan my boy Jace. He's the smartest person on Team Black at this moment. Why would Rhae NEED more dragon's? Caraxes & Syrax could take on Vhagar. And if supported by Moondancer & Vermax it would be a stomp. But hey, Rhae doesn't know where Daemon stands sure. And Jace knew that which is why he suggested they try finding some LOYAL highborn people with Targ blood to ride a Dragon & help them. He didn't suggest they grab random ass bastards from the streets & who grew up poor & without real power & thrust them on Dragons & pray they remain loyal to Jace & Rhae. Huge punched a dude out cold to get food last episode. That guy likely had a family too & they probably starved now that he lost the food he was getting. Huge is a proud man who refused at almost every turn to listen to his smart wife. They should've LEFT for her brother back when she first questioned Aegon's rule. He listened to her after it was too late & doesn't listen to her anymore. Ulf is a random who we know little about. He's proud of his Targ blood apparently. Tells his bar buddies to get free drinks. But he doesn't appear to have a dragon & seems a bit cowardly. Was scared to even answer the call & ran from Big V (And while it's understandable to be scared of Dragon's I'm just saying we know little about the guy & what we do know is he seems scared & jumpy. He was scared when Aegon came into the bar & all that too). So how can we trust these 2 guys? Addam was a truly lucky break. He has built in loyalty since he wants his Dad's recognition & loves his brother who fights on the side of the Blacks. Rhae should've counted her blessings & stopped searching for more riders. Jace has been nothing but golden this whole time. Secured the Starks, Secured the Twins, Questions his mothers dumb decisions, advises her to make peace with Daemon because it's what she NEEDS to do. She should've waited until the war was won to argue with Daemon about the Blood & Cheese situation. They literally NEED Daemon. His Dragon is the second most battle tested Dragon in the world behind Vhagar. Jace was right in everything he said, he's more trustworthy than Lady M & his mother should be heeding his advise more. She shouldn't be counseling secretly with Lady M. Either make her a part of the council her send her away. It's weird & causing tension. Huge has the second largest Dragon in the fucking WORLD! What if after the Black's win he wants the throne? He has a claim being the son of a Targ princess. Ulf has a stronger claim being the brother of Daemon & Viserys. And Ulf has a massive Dragon of his own. Both of their Dragon's make Vermax (Jace's Dragon) look like a pet lizard. They're even bigger than Rhae's dragon too! They could kill Rhae & Jace when the war is over & take the throne. Or just challenge them since they have bigger dragons. It's something Jace has every right to be fearful of
😍Dani🥰I put this video on the living room tv. Ji Soo asked me. “Which one is Dani?” I told her to guess. She picked Sam.😡🙄I told her the one in the middle. She said. “She’s really pretty!” The 😍Dani🥰hater (Soo Yun)said. “She’s okay!”😂We were talking about ordering food, with the names of these people, I’m not surprised that they all want something to do with rice!😂God forgive me. I’m hitting you from my MacBook, I can already see my missed calls. Murda’s out there, I just want to be left alone. On King David.
You're right about Jace, he is thinking ahead. It's an open secret that he's a bastard, his dragon was his sign of legitimacy. But you need to keep in mind Ulf is Viserys & Daemon's brother and Hugh is their cousin - both have silver hair and bigger dragons than him. Should Rhaenyra pass away and Hugh/Ulf rebel, will the common folk side with the brown haired bastard or the silver haired bastards? I think it'd be the latter. Understandble why Jace was tweaking in this episode.
Last I checked the lack of food was a big part of why his daughter died. That falls on Rhaenyra. Fine wants revenge for that he needs to go after the person who set up a blockade preventing food to get to kings landing. That wasn’t Aemond, that wasn’t Aegon, that wasn’t even Otto. That was entirely team black.
Cause the greens TOOK THE THRONE/THEIR HOME it isn't directly their fault but they are the literal cause of this and many other things plus Aemond locked in the citizens who tried to leave and get food making a bad situation much worse
@@KTS. Ah yes, "I starved your daughter to death because someone else seized my chair." As a father, you still wouldn't feel any warmth towards Rheanyra. You would feel cold to all 3 of them: Aegon for not keeping his words, Aemond for keeping them in Kings Landing and Rheanyra for keeping their food away from them.
@@rexibhazoboa7097 It is not as simple as her wanting the throne. If she doesn't win this war she will die so she has to be ruthless to win. She did not start this war so you can't blame her for trying to win it by using ruthless tactics. It isn't simply about a wanting a throne. It is about the prophecy as well.
@@aggubaggu747 The prophecy doesnt count because she can easily tell the other targs on the greens side about it. She also doesn't have to die. She can publicly abdicate from her pursuit, recognize Aegon and move far into Essos with her children. She didn't start the war but she can end it. To ignore that is to be blinded by the throne.
0:56 the bond between a dragon and its rider can only be broken by death, so yes, it is implicit that Laenor died off-screen which is why Seasmoke had started to grow restless. Rhaenyra knows this, in Ep 3 when Mysaria said "Maybe he (Seasmoke) is lonely" Rhaenyra's expression changed entirely, 'cause she now knew why Seasmoke was missing his bond after 10 years. Also, remember Dragons aren't just any creatures, they're magical creatures. There's certain level of magic in the Valyrian blood Targaryens have, that's why they're linaje is the only one that can bond to Dragons, there's a connection between dragon and rider once they have bonded. If you remember last episode of Season 1 when Rhaenyra was in labor and spilling blood all over, they show you flashes of Syrax also suffering. Although Ulf and Hugh are low born, their Targaryen blood runs thick which is why they bonded easily with these dragons. Unfortunately Ser Steffon Darklyn's Targaryen blood was too diluted throughout generations which is why Seasmoke roasted him LOL.
I feel like so many people don't get the point Jace was trying to make. Jace has been harassed by the greens and their supporters through his whole childhood because of his parentage. Having his own dragon, Vermax, was a reminder of his identity, that he actually is a legitimate Targaryen. But if any bastard could claim a dragon, what does that make him? He also has been saying through out this whole season how insecure he is about his legitimaty and how he wants to fight for it so he is seen worthy for the throne, so it's no surprise that he finally brought it up. What if those new riders just decide to switch up on them and want to have their own claim to the throne? What if Rhaenyra dies, Jace is her heir, will those men in her council and the rest of the realm that are loyal to Rhaenyra wanna fight for him? Those bastards have more Targaryen features than Jace and who is to say that the realm won't change their loyalty because of that. Let's not forget the fact that they now got dragons that are way larger than Jace's own, he would have no chance against them
Jace: “mongrels!?” Rhaenyra: “so you gonna take out Vhagar on Vermax then?” Jace: “…. well, shit.” But I get where Jace coming from though. He is insecure about his bastardy and Vermax is his only thing that gives him safe legitimacy. Yeah the dragons basically act as the mandate of heaven to rule for the targaryens, even if Jace has a questionable bloodline claim to the throne him being a dragonrider gives him credibility. Now that Rhaenyra is proving that bastards can also claim dragons (and thus the mandate of heaven) it puts his claim to the throne basically on all their levels and he's rightfully concerned about challenge. The question of trusting these people as well. Adam, Hugh, and Ulf all becoming dragon riders despite being base-born.. so what makes him different from every other bastard? Now add that on top of an already shakey teenage identity crisis and you have class A imposter syndrome. Scenes like Jace and Oscar’s needed to be happening the whole season. It was the first great episode for team black development. Why is it that it took an entire season to learn Jace has a self loathing hatred of lowborns, as far is to call them Mongrols? Why are some team black side characters (like the Starks) not getting Oscar character beats? It’s was getting slow there for the black side but good character beats here this episode!
Yeah, they're concentrating too much on Rhaenyra, Alicent and Daemon... the name of the original story was The Queen and the Princess but whatever, the real heroes are the children, the side characters... you're right.
RHaenyra's plan is dumb. SHe is empowering the lower class of the feudal system SHE is regent of. She just need to bring Daemon back and use him against Vhagar that's all
Rhaenyra is not only giving Jace a claim same as other bastards, it creates zero claim for all her children, if she doesnt survive. If jace cant convince others, that he's not a bastard, which is now very hard, Rhaenyra would automatically marked as a traitor for having an illegitimate son, being in a marriage. All claims any child of her had, would be down to zero. The biggest claim on team black would have Baela, but not if she would marry Jace. You are instantly brand marked throughout the realm, if your mother is a traitor or soiled the crown.
Keep in mind that Rhaenyra has legitimate children. The likelihood is if Jace's, and if not Jace then by extension Joffrey's, claim to the throne comes in challenge, the lords of the realm would skip all bastards thus making Viserys II or Aegon III as rightful heirs @@Taxisch
@@livelovelife32 Aegon or Viserys would never sit the throne, if the greens were still alive an her unfaithfullness were spread around the realm. It doesnt matter than, that both of them are not bastards. Rhaenyras action would weaken their claim drastic. If only her lineage survives and their is no challenger, than they would have it easier, cause the realm wouldnt really care about rhaenyras failure. Rhaenyra is a woman, just like her and viserys talk in ep 4, man can father a dozen bastards, a woman not, he would have disinherited her, if he wasnt the king and his word is law. The realm is easy enough to except even a bastard as an heir, if there a absolutely no one left, but as long as the greens are alive, they can use it easy to their advantage.
Silverwing and Vermithor are the mother and father of syrax which is a great thing in this story. N9t everyone knows that silverwing and vermithor who are both between 75-95 years old and in prime years. I mean vermithor is 75-80% the size of vhagar but is nearly 100 years younger and would definitely end up larger than vhagar if he lives another 50+ years. But vhagar at her current largest is still only 80-85% the size of the grandad that balerion the black dread, who was the largest ever known dragon.
Addam is not Laenor's half brother. Addam is Laenor's bastard son. Only with Targaryen blood can you claim a dragon Addam's mom was Corlys and Laenor's sidechick. There was a time when Laenor just reached puberty, Corlys brought his son to his sidechick(Addam and Alyn's mom) in order for his son Laenor to get experience. It created a seed which is Addam. Laenor felt disgusted with it so his preference was turned towards men. So Alyn is like Addam's half brother and uncle. That is the reason why Addam has a Targaryen blood which he acquired from his father Laenor who is the son of Rhaenys who has Targaryen blood.
It’s only rumored that Addam and Alyn are Laenor’s in the book because their mother was trying to convince everyone they could be dragon riders. In the show he and Alyn are Corlys’ bastards. He literally said to Alyn in the show that his mother probably had Targaryen blood and Rhaenys confronted him about them being his bastards because Alyn looked just like Corlys to her… Also I remember none of what you said about Corlys taking Laenor to Marilda, can you point out the specific part in the book that comes from?
i think its funny how the dragons\ match the human who gets it, Seas smoke picks another salt and sea rider, Vermithor Known as the Bronze fury gets the Metal worker blacksmith, and silverwing goes to the popper Ulf who could use a bit of coin since everyone else is buying him booze🤣
Silverwing is not a small dragon, she is an old dragon(same age more or less with Vermithor) and the third largest dragon in the realm, significant bigger than Syrax, SeaSmoke, Meleys and Caraxes.
26:00 egg nest. Did she just say that’s poop😂? Haven't you been watching? Daemon took an egg in S1 and it looked like that, plus you can clearly see the egg inside.
In the lore silverwing is renowned as being the most docile and i suppose you can use the word friendly with humans which you can see with her first interaction with ulf.
Green is without a doubt going to win the war now, knowing that Vice Admiral Monkey D. Garp is serving on their Kingsguard and protecting Queen Alicent... that's all one would need to win a war, even against the dragons. 😏
Hugh has A LOT of anger... that leads to the dark side to quote Yoda. Ulf is a coward. Both are pretty shifty. Addam seems good but also he desires power. But compared to them he has a father, a brother, a family to think about. Now they are all empowered and they can either surprise us in a good way or very very bad.
If she did one at a time it won't work, the only reason they came aside from the promotion, is because they heard of a low born claiming and dragon and got confident. If you put them one by one, the moment two people gets killed, no one would want to go. This was an all in gamble by rhaenerya.
Rhaenyra in order to get the throne must make the most devastating sacrifice to the system itself. If all dragons can be claimed by anybody than the illusion of the Targaryen power and dynasty goes away n that itself destroys the monarchy to which rhaenyra and jace have their only power from. The class system of the entire society of westeros will be gone thanks to rt actions that could future destroy the realm more than the civil war that is happening now. I get why Rhaenyra is doing what she is doing but the long game is in play n like usual Rt is not thinking about how this shakes the entirety of house targaryen. A great episode.
Nah, she was showing force. She just said earlier she needed more riders so she could end the war with no more bloodshed. Does anyone actaully listen when watching this show?
"Damn he 's pissed what's he so mad about?" Lol I thought the same thing when I was watching but then I remembered Rhaenyra said he's probably the most ferocious dragon in the world so I guess he's just an asshole.
@@AzulApe yeah but a lot of the finale has been leaked and almost every part of it is not in the books. spoilers with no proof is one thing but to have a lot of the scenes leaked is an issue.
And the showrunners didn't explain Addam's Targaryen blood where he acquired it to his real father Laenor Velaryon. Addam's mom was Corlys and Laenor's sidechick. Addam is Laenor's bastard and grandson of Corlys.
Hey ladies, you guys are amazing and my top 2 favorite reactors ever. If I can suggest something though, for scenes like at 6:52 to 7:22 where you just showing random scenes, cuts of no importance, context or purpose, can you please either cut out all of those moments or if you're going to include them then show more of the scene so it gives more context? Because if you include them then it's just wasted screen time. This seems to happened mainly these past few episodes however this episode you guys edited much better. Previous two episodes not so much because of what I said including wasted on screen time and also you guys cut out all of the best parts when other reactors included them. I know you can't include all the scenes and the yt reactions gotta be a certain length to avoid getting them taken down doing what I suggest would be more efficient and everyone gets to be happy. Thank you for reading this
I was always rooting for daemon and aemond, I hate all other characters. But for the first time I felt bad for jace. Rhaenyra is fucking him up with the idea of her new lover lady.
laenor is actually dead, this is confirmed by the fact that seasmoke took a new rider. remember back in that one episode sea smoke was crying flying around? thats because he sensed that laenor has died. dragons can sense that their rider has been hurt or has died. dragons also cannot take new riders if their rider is alive. all of this proves laenor has died
@@Taxischlaenor had white hair. No way dragon would mistake him for adam. Also it actually is impossible to bond with a dragon if the first rider is still alive and dragons always know bout the health of their rider. They r linked to them
@@dawahprince5391 You know, that the showrunners can create their own canon here. We have already big changes to the book lore. And if the dragons always now about the health of the riders, they can also find them anywhere. So nothing would have stopped Seasmoke flying to laenor if he was so lonely.
Jace makes a lot of points. In the very first episode of the season Hugh was working for and was loyal to the Greens and now he has the second biggest dragon in the world. Who says he won't try to make a claim after the smoke clears.
Ulf is half brother of King Viserys and Prince Daemon Hugh is Saera son who is related to Viserys and Daemon parents. "She used to tell me I was no different to her brother’s boys Viserys and Daemon,"
i hate when reacters sit there and critique the way people died in the show....... like no...... you have no idea what oyu'd do if you were attacked by a dragon. stfu.
