Today I learned that Will.I.Am doesn't know how to shuffle cards.

Will.i.am's shuffling is the most painful part of the trick.

The end got me like Jennifer, completely blew my mind that he knew what he was doing the whole time LOL

The idea of the trick is to make people think he's going to get it wrong every time until the end. Very nice.

At 0:51 when he flips through the ace is the second to last card. Then he cuts the deck so that he puts the bottom couple cards on the top. Then he takes the four of spades and places it on the top of the deck before he asks people if they're "captivated yet". Everything that needed to be done is done. When he shuffles the deck, the top cards never get reshuffled into the deck. You can see that the cards in his right hand always end up on the top. Then he makes three piles with the pile from the top being in the middle. He already knows Will's card at this point because he already knows that he's going to ask Will to remove two cards from the top. He pretends to not know when he guesses, and I thought he might say it for the last card just for the suspense. The last part at the end was just for it to look good. When he's "looking" for Will's card he starts to position the ace so that he can then force it the furthest into Will's hand before slapping away all the other cards. He pulled it off very well.

We were all like Jennifer Lawrence during this. Haha

omg the LOOK on J Law's face when Pratt got it right (...in his 156th try) lol

As epic as this trick was and how amused I was that Chris Pratt was totally channeling his inner Andy Dwyer and how hilarious it was when it dawned on Jennifer that Chris did, indeed, know what he was doing the entire time... as much as all that... it bothers me beyond comprehension that Will.i.am doesn't know how to shuffle cards and that he said 'A' in reference to 'ace'. :/

This Yank has come to love this talk show. I used to just watch clips on YT, but I record it regularly on BBC America now. I just love how he brings out a bunch of guests at the same time and they interact, even if they seemingly don't have much in common. So much better then the tired formats of Fallon and Kimmel here in the States

I actually remember learning this trick during my preteens/teens (although I can't remember how to do it anymore). If anyone's wondering: yes, the repetitive failing really is part of the whole build up.

Its a very good trick, but he already knew that Will were going to pick ace hearts from the start. Didn't really give him a choice, but made him belive he did. Also after he shuffled the card, Chris looked at them and placed it carefully and that the last card would be the right one. He did execute it really well, its all about the illusion :)

I really really didn't think he was going to guess it. Lol Chris has such a uplifting personality gotta love him.
