I really like your chart at the beginning. It's very accurate, you are more likely to pray the more you are in church.

I LOVE going to church. I was sad when we went to the 2hour block.

Life is funny... I was one who, in my emerging adulthood, had "no use for organized religion" and ended up losing my way, and experienced a multitude of consequences because of this thought process. Now when I see those around me choosing a path I may have once been on, I cringe and fear for their solitary struggles as they isolate themselves from the word of God and those who are in authority to present it to the world. And yet I had the same agency, and have to trust that, like in me, the Word will find its way back into their hearts and cause them to want ore, similar to how it worked in me. I have to remember the processes I went through, and 'trust the process' at hand and not bail in the middle. The Lord is Mighty to Save. He is GOOD at what he does. Better than I can ever be. And to remember that all I can do MY best, and not my friends' or family member's or spouse's or child's best. I can encourage them, but Even then, I have to be careful and sure that I am truly encouraging and not demanding... Joining from the church out here in Estacada, Oregon. Thank you.

Our 2nd counsellor in the Branch Presidency always says: it is the happiest 2hours every week, being in the church.

This is my favorite CFM lesson, and I listen to several each week. I agree with 99%. But I think we need to be open to the possibility that when the scriptures speak of “the church,” it is a much more expansive and inclusive definition than how it came across to me in this video. For example, President Oaks taught that the church of the Lamb of God includes ALL PEOPLE who try their best to follow God to the best of their ability. Section 10 verse 68 teaches that Christ’s definition of His church is anyone who repents and comes unto Him. The definition of “the church” in the scriptures is not limited to just our church. And therefore I don’t know if it’s correct to conclude that whether or not Jesus receives us is dependent on whether or not people belong to our specific church. This is only my opinion, and again I love the lessons and agree with 99%. I appreciate all of your efforts to bring these insights to us!

Did anyone notice the connection with “Seven churches” in Chapter 25 vs. 23, with Revelation? Is that a coincidence?

The LDS church is an administrative organization, and it will go away during the millennium. Those of us that want to follow Christ during that 1,000 years will be members of the Church of the First Born. We don't reject Christ and his church, but we realize that "the church" administers the keys and authority in the latter days; that is VERY important. But the church makes mistakes and does not always do what it should because of the mortal men that run it. Being born again through the baptism of fire and the holy ghost is a basic step of the doctrine of Christ (2 Nephi 31:17). Every member of the church should be seeking for this great event in their lives. There IS a process as we prepare and seek, but we cannot make ourselves into new creatures; Christ does that. We can have the same experience as Alma and others in the scriptures - there are NO scriptures that tell us these experiences are not for us.

7:55 Correlation is not causation. Community is important for people. The community may or may not be a church. Dutch atheist here - along with Scandinavian countries we are one of the happiest people in the world, and these countries have the really high numbers of atheism too. There's also the extensive systems of social security here. Though not perfect they're way better than what large parts of the US have to offer (IIRC there are differences by state? Not sure.)
