Planting lots of cilantro in my garden makes me happy, I do this often so I always have enough to harvest... and once they go to flower, the pollinators LOVE them as well.

Hi Roxanna. Wondering if mulching tomatoe beds would help? You used pine needles last year. Can you reuse them? Any cilantro storing tips? Thanks

I'm not far from you in Chicago; the nighttime temperatures have been all over the place. Do you cover your tomato & pepper plants at night???

Same 🙌 I have a cilantro, parsley, and carrot blooming right now and the tiniest little insects are swarming it.

I leave the cilantro seed out every year and it ends up in the pathways and beds. I’ve only used it in tacos and salsa. How do you use it? You reminded me to cut chives and parsley tomorrow-thanks. Volunteers are numerous this year as we pulled out of drought 👏🏼👏🏼. Have no idea how coneflower, pinks and Columbine ended up in veg area, but I’ll have to move them soon before a rain as some are big now. The borage has all different sizes and definitely has to get moved. Volunteer potatoes still appearing 🙄 hope I get them all this year as I already dug the ones I could get to. Hmmm, the tomato has me stumped. If it wasn’t hybrid who knows. Yes, to too much water and was concerned about mildews and fungus. Between the weather, wildlife, bugs and disease it’s amazing we get any crop. I planted more hybrid tomatoes this year and several determinates to see how they compare. Trying to gauge just how much I need to grow compared to what we have left in reserve now. Little worried about onions getting to size and spotted potato beetles today. Next will be vine borer and I hope no Japanese beetles 😂 wishful thinking. Getting heavy work out of the way before heat/humidity set in Wednesday. Mosquitoes were inevitable with all this rain and certain areas of the yard are a no-go right now. One thing on my list is to get the garden shed reorganized-Yikes! I’d like to get the seedling supplies out of the house, just been too busy or it’s raining. We had 48* degrees this morning and another couple cool ones and then the heat is on. Z5, WI.

Good morning, Roxana! Your garden always looks so good! Mine is at the stage where everything has gone wild and needs to cut back.😅 I still cannot grow cilantro from seed.

I love the look of cilantro and used to grow it just for the pollinators but it tastes like soap to me. My peas aren't blooming yet, but can't wait to eat them. Your garden beds are beautiful.

I had a tomato plant that looked like that. The other ones surrounding it were fine.I removed that plant as well.I thought I MAY have over watered it, but the others are fine.In North Florida, our temps are 100 plus for a few days so I did water a little more but not much.hmmm

For sure, it was probably one of my first plants and I kept cutting from it so the plant kept on getting bigger

I live nearby. Muncie. My cucumbers and cilantro are way behind yours, probably due to partial shade in the yard.
