Omg you see that river.... go abroad and see how only draining and constructing walkways and parks around that river will be a game changer in the scenery of owerri. Good job my brother for getting us closer to home.
Pls, pls, pls, tell the new govt to dredge this river and place and concrete the edges with large stones to prevent erosion. Invest in your states. If u happen to live and work in other parts of Nigeria, pls don't let your lives there be 100 per cent. Don't invest more than 20% or the highest 30% elsewhere. Develop Owerri, develop Imo states or any other southeastern states. They are your homes. I often admire this city.
Beautiful Eastern heartland city of Owerri. Enugu needs to up her game, nd move into her next stage of development cuz Owerri is not only catching up but threatening to over take Enugu. Nice one OU travels / Tour
Owerri is a very beautiful place..if the Imo government can adequately solve the issue of waste management and construct/rehabilitate 80% of the roads, only Abuja will be at par with Owerri in terms of beauty and serenity because Owerri already has one of the best structures in Nigeria. A lot of beautiful edifice and mansions in the city..
This is one of the best vlog I have seen about our beautiful city of Owerri.. Can't just get enough of this.. Pls more if this bro.. Keep showcasing our beautiful homeland in positive light.. Thumbs up bro !!!
You have done a great 😃👍 job. No wonder the hate is too much about the development of Owerri. The fact is I have been to 20 state capital in Nigeria and I will honestly tell you that no city in Nigeria can match Owerri in terms of beauty, except Abuja, all though the city has alot to do 🙏
I'm always proud of my state, city Owerri. Though I haven't spend a month living there I always love and cherish the city 💓. Alot of enjoyment centers 😁 Thanks for sharing this wonderful video with us. I just shared to my WhatsApp now.
This gives a better overview of a Nigerian city than I have seen in other vlogs, which showed only driving on the main thorofare. I have a Nigerian living with me and I am interested in learning more about the city where they are from. Thanks for posting. Good job.
I’m we just need a progressive leader . One who thinks young and is open to new ideas. The city needs better planning , it’s flat so won’t be so much problem. If I were the governor, I would start developing a new city from the community closest to PH , that’s a way to draw investors in from an already developed state . Good job man keep them coming !
@@WAFFENBANKOwerri is a slum and a glorified rural area full of illiterates, miscreants, ashawo, kidnappers, etc. no wonder most imo indigenes prefer to live in Onitsha
We need to see new road construction sites going on in owerri capital territory bcs there lots untarred roads within the territory ,you did a good job.
Wonderful documentary, but don't forget that Owerri was the last capital of the defunct Republic of Biafra.. Nice one bro, keep making us proud... Keep it up !!
Owerri is serene, beautiful and planned. I'm just wondering why the state government didn't develop those waterfronts, that would have added more ecstasy to the city
@@outravelandtour Not just Nworie but Otammiri river also.. From Egbu to Nekede down to Ihiagwa and other surrounding towns, the otammiri river gives a serene and ecstatic views.. Come to Nekede and Ihiagwa and see the beautiful and serene vibes the otammiri river gives...
@@djb.8507 Nigeria is a nation of nations. So the look of the various cities differs based on the peoples native to those lands. That said, there are many nice places in Nigeria. Igbo people, proportionately, have more wealth than the other ethnic groups, so they're a little ahead. That's all.
@@djb.8507 Nigeria is a federation, made up of 36 states with 36 governors. The central government has no say in how states are run, how the cities are built, etc.. outside of the federal capital territory, which is Abuja.
Owerri needs a skyline , a financial district like the Manhattan , a lush green mega theme park , a waste management system , a huge amount pedestrian roads and streets paved with marble , green energy then it's complete

The biggest shame about all these is that our cities were built without water treatment and waste treatment plants. Human waste is buried in the backyard and they drink water from boreholes that were drilled 10 feet where the human waste was buried.
Bro Dee mbakwe built d best drainage in Nigeria at Owerri and there is water reserved where water is been treated in Owerri municipal and Owerri west .. my mum is from Avu, Avu located in Owerri west so ask anyone Every house in Owerri municipal and Owerri west has water .

Overrated. It looks like a typical unplanned city in Nigeria. Bad roads, no parks, no zoo, no utility companies like gas, water electricity, no industrial zone, and no downtown commercial area with high rise office buildings. All I see are bad roads with no sidewalks for pedestrians and open gutters. I do not see a municipal transit system with long buses, all I see are dilapidated old combi buses and tricycles.
It's not underrated, it's OVERRATED! Owerri, like most other cities in Nigeria looks like a township and not a City. Basically a mix of Mud huts, old Brown Roofed buildings, newer houses and unpaved roads. A modern city should have Highways and boulevards, bridges, sidewalks, shopping plazas, a downtown with High rise buildings, Industrial plants, Parks, Golf Courses and 5 Star Hotels.
All you said are in Owerri. Maybe you haven't visited in 20years. There's ⛳ golf course in Owerri. Uncountable Shopping malls. I don't know your definition of a 5-star hotel but Owerri arguably has the highest number of Hotels. There are fun parks🎢 and a good road network. The things lacking are maintenance culture and the two rivers in Owerri need to be dredged and beautified.
