The misconception here is that, it is wrong to think that all mall investments in Lusaka are done with financial resources from South Africa. If you were to do your research properly, you would find that most of them are Zambian owned & built with resources from Zambia not South Africa. Levy Mall is owned by NAPSA - Zambian, Central Arcades housing Society house now Hilton hotel, is owned by Building Society & NAPSA - Zambian, Long Arcers mall is owned by Zambian Pensions Board, Arcades shopping mall is owned by Mr Mark O'Donnell, a Zambian, the owner of Protea chain of hotels in Zambia, Airport mall owned by National Airports of Zambia,etc

When South African Boers blocked Zambia from using their seaports in South Africa, China agreed to build a railway line for Zambia & Tanzania ( TAZARA) for a stretch of almost 2000KM from Kapiri Mposhi in Zambia to Dar es Saalam in Tanzania for almost nothing. China has given Zambia grants amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars without making noise. China has built a general hospital in Zambia for free, Levy Mwanawasa. China is building almost all the infrastructure in Zambia & modernising our country, it's loans, yes, we shall pay back. The Chinese are literally doing every for us, name it, stadia, roads, airports, shopping malls as well, opening new mines, creating multi-facility economic zones, cement plants, tile manufacturing plants, trading, motor vehicle assembly plants. GOD BLESS CHINA!!!

Billionaire Concepts Malawi is a beautiful country. It’s a very mountainous country so a lot of tourists hike there. Mt Mulanje is a popular mountain destination. Lake Malawi is beautiful as well and Malawi has national parks that are known for exotic wildlife and safaris. Even though Malawi might not have as much infrastructure as Zambia, Malawi still has nice malls and shopping centers especially when you go to cities such as Lilongwe and Blantyre. Overall, Malawi is laid back and the locals are usually friendly.

Since he is in Zambia, this only apply to Zambia. Though it may apply to few others, it is not widespread.

It's not like they are not allowed to take pictures. The thing is there are some places you can capture with your cameras, there are others where you can ask for permission and you are given the rights to take pictures of which ever structure you may want. And then there are people you may want to capture but you have to ask for permission from them. As long as you get permission from the police you can take pictures. I know a photographer he told me a had a White Friend. When he was in Cairo road which is one of the busiest street in the Lusaka CBD he approached the Camera man who took him to an abandoned tall building which they climbed and took the photos freely. This does not apply to African only but Africans and Zambians as well. The country is strict when it comes to protecting its peace. Zambia has kept alot of Africans from other countries. Just last week some armed robbers from an unmentioned African country were arrested coz of doing hi jackings.

Zambia is right next to DR Congo and Mozambique including other war torn countries hence it's a little strict when it comes to security but not that much coz Zambia is big. Probably just in Lusaka. It was unfortunate the brother just met some crooked people when he arrived otherwise Zambians are some of the kindest people in Africa.

I am sure with what happened he is paranoid to take more pictures. But otherwise Zambia is a free country. One of the most peaceful countries in Africa. We have hosted our neighbours fron war torn countries such as Angola, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, DR Congo, Rwanda, Burundi, Ethiopia, Somalia, even Namibian and South Africans she they were fighting apartheid. We also have a University named after Kwame Nkrumah in Zambia.

There are so many films showcasing the beautiful Africa but unfortunately they are not given the attention they deserve because the world wants to see the impoverished Africa embroiled in civil wars and ethnic conflicts.

I have not been to Zambia before, looks like good country, one day I will hopefully visit. I am South African. I was suprised at how the branding of banks shops etc is just so South African brands....but good for Zambian and SA people. I hope they will then build schools and hospitals as was explained. Critical institutions such as schools and health infrastructure are v important for progress...as Africans we need to now start investing our money and not just saving for huge spending , build infrastructure. create more value and be less on spending in shopping malls.

Yes Bro. I know an Elder he has lived in Zambia for more than 12 years. We call him Uncle Kamau. He has been to Kemet Egypt and Sudan and is friends with Runoko Rashidi and Jacob Caruthers. He was born in Ohio but grew up in Atlanta. He is about 72 years old. I also know a Haitian Man. He came from Florida, he is currently in Kazungula Zambia doing a timber cutting business, I met another Haitian Elder married to a Zambian they moving here even though they are based in New York. I know Sister Brandy from Oakland, another Rasta couple from Virgin Islands that want to build a school. I also have friends from the the Carribean. One is from Barbados, two from Trinidad, knew one from Guadeloupe, I also met one brother from the Bronx, he is half Cuban half Dominican. Zambia is mad nice and safe. African Americans are treated like Kings and Queens here.

The Elder from Ohio told me that there is a large African American community in Zambia and Tanzania they even had a reunion and gathering together in Tanzania. His nephew from Alabama owns a mobile phone store in Lusaka. Plus there is a program We are currently running with a group called the LEDGE. Of Africam Americans and Afro Carribeans.
