This was a joy to watch. This was my show! That is to say, I played Amaz-O for the entire run of the show (that's me in the video). We struggled for a year to really make the show and funhouse work, but, in the end, as you noted, it closed a year early. I often refer to us as the black sheep/bastard child show at Disney. We've essentially been scrubbed from history. I don't know of a single piece of evidence on property that proves our show was ever there. Thanks so much for making this and sharing!

I had never heard of this being a thing before, that looks very cool and un-Disney. I would love to see Goosebumps back, maybe as one of the scarezones in Halloween Horror Nights.

I was actually in this show as one of the kids that got called up form the audience. We had just happened to get there early, and a cast member was wandering around with a clipboard and asked if I wanted to take part. I was about 10, and my parents had to sign this waiver saying that Disney was not responsible for any injury, loss of limb, or death from the show. My mum thought it was a joke at the time and signed it 'Mickey Mouse', before a cast member came back with a new form and told her she had to sign it for real or I couldn't do the show!

Oh man, I hate I never got to see that. I loved and still love Goosebumps, even as an adult. I always found them pretty darned scary, plus unique in that not all had a happy ending. Kids books rarely do that. To this day I remember the show where the scarecrows were slowly making the people disappear. That one is still horrifying to me!

So weird to think of this at WDW, because it feels like a Universal show. The set reminds me so much of the HHN 17 opening scaremony, where they introduced Freddy, Leatherface, etc.

I remember seeing this show when I was 5. I was scared because I actually believed the magician was turned into a hamster. That show freaked me out as a kid!

The problem with Goosebumps as a theme park land or attraction is it skews very young. So it cant be too scary for young kids, but older kids would think its too cheezy. It works in book form because your imagination scales as you get older.

Omg when I was a kid horrorland was my FAVORITE. I'm still obsessed with stories/films/hauntings/shows etc. that take place in theme parks. My absolute favorite setting for horror. I can't believe I didn't know about this!!!

I had the pleasure of working for the Special Effects Lab that built all of the creatures for the TV Series in the 90's. I even had the chance to be an onscreen zombie in Welcome to Dead House. Many great memories of this show.

The unfortunate thing about being born in the mid 90s is that I missed all the good stuff. By the time I was old enough for the books everything else was gone. I only watched Goosebumps on VHS but I was OBSESSED with the books

I’d kill for a full horrorland park at universal or Disney. There’s so much untapped potential and different possibilities for a Goosebumps inspired land. It genuinely grinds my gears it hasn’t been made yet.

Seeing Goosebumps back in a theme park would be lovely, but I doubt Disney will ever have that anymore which I thought because of the franchise was run by Fox and Disney owns Fox now but yet the movie was done by Sony so I don't know about that. I also thought that Garfield would be owned by Disney due to that franchise was run by Fox as well but yet the upcoming series "Garfield Originals" will be on Nickelodeon.

I am an amateur Disney enthusiast and I also had most every Goosebump book. it is rare anymore I come across something from Disney I knew nothing about, but this, I’ve NEVER heard of AT ALL! Thank you so much for your work on this!

I still got all my original goosebumps now my daughter's learning to read and she's super excited for the series! By the way big wrestling fan both wcw and tna both taped at theme parks I'd love to hear your input on this topic? Love the channel keep it up

I didn’t realize there was a Goosebumps Horrorland a while ago. I did remember the Goosebumps books and reading some of them when I was little.

I visited WDW in 1997 during MK's year long 25th Anniversary. During my visit to MGM Studios, I happened to be wearing my "Welcome to Fever Swamp" Goosebumps shirt. That same day, RL Stine was at the park. This was a huge deal for me being a Goosebumps fan. My mom gave me money & I ran as fast as I could to the small bookstore in the park. I bought the Goosebumps book "Werewolf Skin". Not only did I get the book signed by RL Stine, I got a picture with him too. To make things even better, I was asked to be part of this Horrorland show. Sadly due to moving, the picture & book were lost 😭 But it was definitely one of my favorite memories!

I once went to a book signing by R. L. Stine and was able to get a personal meet-and-greet with him. It. Was. Awesome.

Goosebumps is my favorite book series of all time. I have read almost all the books and my most favorite Goosebumps series is the Horrorland series. Since I was a big theme park fan, I of course loved the Horrorland series because each of the books mostly took place in a theme park filled with well,Horror. I read the Horrorland books as a kid and ever since then,I always dreamt of a real Horrorland in a real theme park. The idea sounded kinda crazy because Horrorland described in the books is sometimes too scary but I don't know,it just had so much potential. There were so many creative ideas for rides,food,shops, heck there was even a full on map of the theme park if you collected the first 12 books of the series. Anyways, Disney World has always been my favorite theme park destination. So one day,I thought it would be a cool idea to bring Goosebumps to a Disney park. Unfortunately,I remember that Goosebumps is not owned by Disney and Disney didn't had the rights to use Goosebumps (at least I thought so). Now, Expedition Theme Park released a new video and just by reading the title alone I was like....wait, Goosebumps was at Disney world? I couldn't believe my eyes so I watched the video and found out that it was indeed true. Even though it was only a show and it didn't last much,it was still "something" and better yet,it was in Disney! Even though I was never there to experience it in person,it feels like my dream already came true. Thank you Expedition Theme Park, this was definitely something unexpected. Who knows if Disney decides in the future to bring Goosebumps into the parks as either having their own land,ride,show (like before) or an idea that I had before; a ride overlay of Haunted Mansion or Tower of Terror with Slappy the Dummy the one controlling either building.

By sheer happenstance, i was at Disney MGM the day this opened. I got a bunch of photos, but the special moment was when I was standing around for the opening ceremony, and spotted a gangly man in a black turtleneck (in hot Florida weather, no less), loitering discreetly next to the stage. I actually got to talk to RL Stine for a while before he was dragged off to open the fun house. Definitely the most memorable part of the trip.

Oh wow I had no idea this was ever an attraction! I think we visited Disney too late when I was a kid if it only ran for a year. I would've loved it though, I collected every goosebumps book and still vividly remember them! Thanks for the great video dude!

I didn't get into Goosebumps until I was out of college. Although, I remember seeing the original books (and a few from the "choose your own adventure" spinoff series) at my elementary school library and seeing reruns of the Canadian produced television show in (junior) high school. This was because Cartoon Network was airing another movie/series based on Stein's work, The Haunting Hour, at the time. I remember being totally surprised when searching "Top 10 Goosebumps Books/Episodes" countdown videos on RU-vid, and I came across a couple of rare videos of this show. Kid me would have been terrified of seeing fellow kids in danger, but current me appreciates the stagecraft and the role the young volunteers get to play in chasing off the iconic monsters. P.S. The Scarecrow Walks at Midnight is my favorite of the classic Goosebumps books, but I admit being fond of the concept behind the camera in Say Cheese and Die as well. Any player of the Project Zero/Fatal Frame series knows that photographs carry pieces of people's souls, according to Japanese urban legend; how you play the games determines your character's ultimate fate, and the (living) souls close to her (It is always a young, impressionable, usually depressed and definitely defenseless woman with a dark secret in their past.) A camera that shows bad futures for whoever it takes a picture of? Sounds like Stein might have heard of this urban legend.

Out of everyone I know my mom and dad got to see this show without their kids!!! lol I think they filmed it too because I remember watching a little bit with my sisters :) Wish they'd bring it back. They take away everything we love!

omg i remember my sister got picked to participate in this. When they put her in the box and I heard the screaming, I thought it was real and she died!!! 😂😂 I specifically remember they gave her and the other kid a Haunted Mask to wear during the show too. Between this and Alien Encounters I got the living hell scared out of me at Disney!

One of the few Goosebump books thatI ever found scary was Invasion of the Body Squeezers especially because I don’t remember it having a happy ending with it being basically invasion of the body snatchers and I only had part 2 so I never got the full picture

I had to think as the series is known under a translated name in my country. The live action series actually traumatized me with the episode of the living ventriloquist doll, I never dared to read the books because of that, even though I was very into vampires, werewolves and the like.

I'll be mostly really interesting to have a Goosebumps theme park that is dedicated to horrorland did had that idea at a water park I work at to have a coffins ride by having gust lay in coffins by floating down a river just like from the one day at HorrorLand episode of Goosebumps.
