They went because they''re famous and because a nightclub wanted them to decorate its evening. Nelson Sullivan chronicled the Club Kids adventure on their party bus to DC. Featuring Michael Alig, Ernie Glam, The Fashion Patrol, Goldilocks and many more.

The way they handled Christina's death tho. You can see just how desensitized people were because of AIDS. Grief had become fully incorporated in these people's lives so when a friend died- they just got added to the ever-growing list.
@samikay9599
@samikay9599 3 года назад
People handle mourning very differently. When my best friend died two month after graduation I never cried, none of us did we just went to his freshly dug grave and sang his favorite songs and shared stories. Laughing the entire time, and on what would have been his 21st birthday (he was the baby of the group) we went down there and gave him his very first shots of jack. That's the first time I cried, when I had to pour it on the over grown grass instead of being able to take him out and see him smile. Four years after his death and I finally cried. It hits at different times for everyone.

A prolific, yet relatively unknown videographer, Nelson Sullivan was a visionary. His revolutionary style is a combination of cinematic and in-camera editing techniques. Carrying the camera at arm's length, he was able to gracefully move about his subjects, embracing them on tape. His technique is so fluid that viewers often see Nelson walk across the screen and wonder who's pointing the camera. Nelson's relationship with his audience is so synergetic at times as to simulate personal memory as opposed to dispense information. Nelson Sullivan's oeuvre is more than one man's diary. It is a portrait of society's misfits gathering to create something rich and strange from almost nothing and against all odds. Nelson knew he lived in interesting times, and he worked hard to capture more than a video freak-show. In addition to taping up-and-comers such as RuPaul and Michael Musto, Sullivan sought to tape New York’s outcasts, the wannabes, the has-beens, and the never-will-be’s. Whether his subjects were on the way up, or trapped in a downward spiral, Nelson strived to candidly capture life under the shadow of the Statue of Liberty. These videos were Sullivan's labor of love; they provide a window to the past, and invite viewers to experience the lows and highs of an almost mythical era. It is the essence of the American dream, or as Nelson said, "The pravda of the matter."

buzz lightyear Hey peeps Co Q10 is food for the muscles... know that allot of heart attacks can be avoided, especially when your body lacks Co Q10. Mineral oil can takes and strips this from your system. Anyone that takes laxatives must make sure to take Co Q10. The heart is all muscle. If you lead a diet that is of processed foods, use products with mineral oil and don’t take any raw nutrients you can find yourself in a pickle. I’m sure many of these club kids aren’t eating super healthy as well as party and have fun! It’s all good! Just please take a good raw vitamin and as well add in some Co Q10. Avoid those heart attacks and heart problems. Also. It’s totally bull when doctors are giving people beta blockers, they completely strip the body of Co Q10. They do this to lower blood pressure, hello... McFky... you need that extra pressure to pump the blood around the body. Sooo anyone on beta blockers will wind up with heart attacks... or worse dead. If you know someone on blood pressure meds please make them take Co Q10. Sorry I know this is random but I was triggered when I saw he died of a heart attack. Its awesome that Nelson documented this scene, as it seems only a few people did. And we can see that things looked different than Party Monster . Its odd they dont appear to have consulted these vids for the making of the movie. I do like the movie though but IDK if they tried for total accuracy.

There’s a misconception that anything before 2000 was the dark ages. I grew up in the 70s and my experience was people were a hell of a lot more free in those days. Music and art really pushed the limit. Of course there were issues and progress has been made in better understanding some aspects of society but in general I find today’s culture incredibly stifling and actually Puritan in nature.

There's an article about it, however I can't share the link or my comment will get removed. I can't imagine that what's currently available to us via what's uploaded on the channel is truly the whole extent of Nelson's recordings. Perhaps it is though, but I doubt it considering Nelson's optimistic nature and tendency to record such things that intrigue him.
