She is a woodworker's woodworker and this is the only woodworking channel using tons of electrical equipment I ever watch. This video made my Sunday morning perfect. Thank you.

They force me to go to work and leave my wood shop. Watching you gets me fired up to go home and work on the L shaped sycamore desk I am making.

That thing is HUGE! 😳 I have a coffee table - that is an urn table. 😂 While pristine shops are cool, yours has such an awesome “stuff gets made here” look. The tools are well used but still very functional. That’s my way of saying you are definitely about making awesome stuff and not being a YT poser with fancy tools that never really make anything. You are SO talented and I love watching you work. This is a gorgeous video - the work, the process, and the piece. Awesome job! Thank you for making and sharing this. 👍🏼

There's something very satisfying about seeing a beautifully accurate series of joints going together so no need to apologise, I enjoyed every indulgently Saturday minute. Thanks for posting and have a good weekend HB.

Great to see this again, not sure just to call it a coffee table really does it justice I seem to remember it as a master class of problem solving, such a great multi functional piece of furniture 👌👌👌👍👍👍🇦🇺

Yeah this one had a lot of problem solving. I know not everyone that watches the channel enjoys the full versions of the reuploaded projects. But, one of the reason I do them is that for myself and year removed from making this it's really interesting to revisit it and see it come together in one video.

I started watching you when u 1 st started and I was making furniture also so I jumped in! Then I branched off into finish carpentry because if you can make furniture you can trim a house? Well couple yrs later I am making cabinets & trimming houses? ( I am tons older than you) . And you hv advanced so much making beautiful pieces even doing torsion boxes under your tabled keeping it flat and perfect for yrs ! Bespoke furniture maker ! Just fantastic job !

I had never seen that hardware before. Very interesting. I guess the torsion box construction is important to make those tops as light as possible. Thanks
@HoneyBadgerWoodWorks
@HoneyBadgerWoodWorks 3 месяца назад
Being light was an added bonus. It was more so so the tops stay perfectly flat over time. Especially Because they can’t be permanently attached to the frame, and because the costumer didn’t want breadboard ends if this was solid wood or even just flat ply it would bow bad over time. Not only would it look bad, but all the hardware wouldn’t work right.

Your work astounds me. So much care in the details. Is there anything you won't tackle for being too big? I think not. You amaze me. I do miss your voice-over though.

Great project, thank you, and have you ever considered making a video of you going to the lumber yard, we would like to see this.
@HoneyBadgerWoodWorks
@HoneyBadgerWoodWorks 3 месяца назад
Honestly not really, I got the lumber for this from Rockler because they have great prices on red oak. And I don't want to deal with filming myself in a store, and imposing on other people working/shopping with a camera.

Katelyn, what made you decide on the double haunched mortise and tenon joints here? Granted it will make for a strong tight joint but not in everyone's repertory. Love this table but it is not what I'd call "portable" for the living room or family room. 🤗
@HoneyBadgerWoodWorks
@HoneyBadgerWoodWorks 3 месяца назад
Those upper aprons were over 5 inches. So anything over 4 inches I personally turn into a double tenon. This was definitely hard to transport, but was one of those projects were I drew a sketchup model before hand and the customer was aware of just how big it would be. It is was going to be delivered and probably never move again hahaha.
