They break just by looking at them. No stronger than a down the highway gas station 5 bucks flick knife. The atlas lock is the most disappointing lock to ever come to cold steel. Tri - ad lock all day long. Get the Espada XL s35vn mate you won't regret it. Its price is crazy but we'll worth buying. Have one my self.
That Mayhem looks sick! That thing is a Beast like you said Stick. You guys are awesome! Love all my Cold Steel knives and my Brooklyn Crusher Bat! You guys are the best. Thank you for all your products and your videos
I am rather liking the Mayhem ,I think it is my new must have blade . I have a few Cold Steel blades and have used them in all kinds of environments and never had a problem with any of them at any time ,My favourite knives are the Kukri ,Trail Master SRK and Voyager series all have been tried and tested and have never failed me .Sword wise I love the Grosse Messer, it just ticks all my personal boxes ,I love so many others it is hard to keep track but the Gosse Messer is right up there at the top of my edged ass kickery list .Shutting up now .Keep up the good work and to all at Cold Steel a big thank you from me all knife lovers in the UK .
I'm so glad to see a new XL knife design being made. Cold Steel is one of the only brands to make knives that I don't have to worry about breaking with regular use.
Stick, you are one cool dude and definitely the right man to represent Cold Steel under the new ownership. The way you & Lynn work is awesome, keep up the good work Sir.
I saw the mayhem from calculated survival too and man that is a badass blade. Kinda crazy how you guys sliced up that gel dummy with little to no effort.
@Cold Steel Comedians Bert "The Machine" Kreischer, Joel McHale and Robert Kelly are huge fans of the blade. On 2 Bears, 1 Cave Ep. 194 podcast Joel mentions his favorite sword from you guys (I forget the name but it's a 2 handed Chinese war sword) and gives Bert one of your knives as a present.
The mayhem knife looks sick I love all the cold steel knives I carry a cold steel tri lite as my everyday carry I can't get enough of the cold steel brand all of them are awesome thanks for the fantastic test and videos and products you put out
Can't wait to see testing on the Mayhem. Anecdotally the Atlas Lock is not as resilient as the Tri-Ad, but I have also seen the Tri-Ad fail so we'll have to wait and see what happens when people beat on the Mayhem. The incoming 5 Max is a guaranteed amazing knife though.
@@CNYKnifeNut "Capable of returning to an original shape or position, as after having been compressed. synonym: flexible." This is exactly what I am referring to in the difference between the Tri-Ad and Atlas locks. The Atlas easily develops play, where the Tri-Ad adjusts for wear almost flawlessly.
I suppose they lost the rights to the Tri-Ad with the changing of the guard? No Lynn T., no Demko? There’s no way they’d change it unless they had to. Right? Maybe?
