Travelling through the magical cities and villages of Peru's Sacred Valley was incredible. It was such an eye opening experience to be immersed in the Peruvian Inca culture, to meet so many wonderful local people, and to hear their stories of how they truly feel about this commercial boom that has been steadily transforming their world. The exploitation of their sacred plant medicine which is now offered on almost every corner, Starbucks taking out the local coffee shops, McDonalds providing jobs but at the same time destroying other local restaurants, and so many foreign companies creeping their way in to siphon so many dollars away. All of this to serve the massive amount of growing travellers descending upon their sacred spaces.
So what's the best way to travel in Peru? Or anywhere for that matter? How do you experience the Sacred Valley but at the same time not support the elimination of their culture by the commercialistic ways of the Western world? Should we all just stay at home? Is it better to leave it all be and read about our wonderful world only in Nat Geo? Is there a solution?
We believe there is. And not just abroad, but in our own communities too. Shop local wherever you go, support community businesses, contribute to the culture that you are surrounding yourself with. Vote with your dollars to keep them in the pockets of those who need it most. And realize that the world has so much to offer with its deep diversity and endless cultural beauty that taking a chance on something new is far more rewarding than the safe familiar road. Its up to all of us. What we value, we can keep alive.

Australia is the only country Starbucks completely failed in. It gave it a go, then packed up and left. We as an entire country are loyal to our small local coffee shops.

Rachel, Starbucks did poorly here in the past but not all stores closed. They are making a new push with a new business strategy. Multiple new stores have opened and more planned for the future.

Modern spiritual people want to live free on an island or around the world but with the Visa card. They beleive that they are close to nature and Life because they dream , travel, eat raw, beleive to love everyone, meditate and practice some Yoga form.... but they can't be farest to nature and Life. Leave them in the nature, forest, desert, far from any civilisation... they will very fast be back on earth and won't have time to dream anymore, nor meditate nor be vegan... They will live by nature rules and will finally understand Life

Many Spiritual types are some of the most egotistical and narcissistic people I have ever come across, the preaching , the lecturing. You have a lot to learn. This is all so contrived , it's ironic that they are trying to present themselves this way but i still see narcissism and materialism. It's more about appearances , they need to present themselves as ' good people' to the world and I guarantee they are are asking for donations or money somewhere. Do I really need to tell you that people do wonderful things every moment of every single day. It's just they don't record it or pose sitting on rocks or walk in slow motion pretending to be wonderfully amazing people. Your lives are nothing like this, be honest and stop lying to the world and yourselves.

It touched my heart so much to have found this video, I had just started checking your page for the Pilates videos to strengthen my back from a major car accident and the following video I find is of you guys visiting my country. Then you guys talk about the dogs and how we can build a sanctuary in our heart, if we can't yet have an actual sanctuary (which I will!), and you brought me to tears!!! Thise words sincerely touched my heart, that's how I feel. I went to Perú in 2004 after high school for a long vacation and among the many dogs who came in my path and I fed, 1 in particular caught my attention. He was a puppy and already knocking on death's door, I immediately jumped to action and got some chicken and rice from the ladies in the market and water from the guy in the stand Next to the dying pup. The pup and I stood there until he was strong enough to walk around and by then he wasn't walking, he was jumping in my lap, I couldn't walk away anymore, I decided to take the pup home, back to Florida!!! I named him Lucky, shocker I know! Lucky the rescued dog from the streets of Perú, came to Florida and gifted me with 13 of the most wonderful years of his life, and on 8/24/17 he gained his wings and broke many hearts. He was loved by many, traveled and camped out in the mountains of Perú with me and my friends. Came face to face with a bull that happened to be hanging out, eating and doing bull stuff on the mountain we were coming down from, Lucky smelled him and walked over to drink water from stream. We slept together when camping under the stars and back in Florida in the comfort of my bed or couch....he kinda ran the house 💁‍♀️ until I gave birth and he then spent 8 years of his life sleeping under the bed of his favorite boy. Rescuing dogs is my life, and 1 very special little dog from the streets you're now visiting changed my life. You have gained a new follower, not only for your videos but for who you are as a person. I had a really bad week. I ended a friendship with people I knew for years... I felt lonely and unworthy of a friendship. But then your video appeared on my feed. It made me cry so much, thinking how small my problems are... how inconsequential the things that were said to me were. You showed me how much beauty there is in this world and how much goodness we can give back. I cried, but it was incredibly therapeutic! Thank you so much!

you know, every time I watch this kind of videos, about leaving everything back e go, travel and experience the world, I feel strange. I'm new to Boho Beautiful...I have today, watched a few snippets from different episodes, and this one in particular is very touching...Thank you both for your compassionate and kind ways to the world, ESPECIALLY ANIMALS!! I get the animal plight, all of them, not just dogs, but I do love dogs and totally agree, we domesticated wild dogs, and look at them all over the world starving and abused, something like 60 million stray dogs around the world!? And wild animals we need to "see" them and steward so much more, and domesticated animals have been treated the worst. Anyway, wishing you much love and joy....I hope you won't get "commercialized" by doing your videos...stay true to yourselves and your mission, which you have made very clear on this video....💟🐕🕉🐖☮🐘☯🐄☸

Guys another fantastic awareness video from two people who are so caring and inspiring. Please don't ever stop doing the things you do and yes you are having fun traveling the world but at every turn doing so much good and bringing so much awareness and taking us along on your journey of awakening and learning. I share your dream too, all I want is to have enough money to set up a dog sanctuary, to care for as many dogs as possible. If I won the lottery there would be no fancy cars or holiday homes just first and foremost my sanctuary! So many people who come into money just buy fancy cars, handbags, material things and I just don't understand that, use the money to do good in the world. I always try to support local businesses when I travel. It is part of the experience to understand how the people live plus typically the service and food/product is much better than the mass produced franchises. Love your videos and your journey! I watched a bunch of your diaries & I'm proud of you. Listen to your hearts & put what you want on your channel. It's YOUR channel. It's tempting to do what you perceive your viewers want, but then it becomes your viewers' channel & not yours. It takes courage to speak from your souls when you don't how it will be received. That was very eye opening Ive never thought about supporting the local shops although Ive visited many countries. It sometimes happened by coincidence but from now on Ill make sure to 100% support the locals in any country i visit! Edit: sanctuary in your heart is my new motto. Thank you for spreading the message to people who do not see the big, horrible picture or don't get the chance to explore and to see it for themselves. I was in Peru a few weeks ago and I felt the majestic and the awe of its land and its people. And of course I also saw the infiltration of commercialism and corruption.
