because of the eurovision.. more then 14 countrys want to release the album of ilse and waylon .. and they are standing on 16 countrys on number 1 in itunes.. Amazing.. and now 5 countrys' plus the US (universals.) wanted to ask ilse to peform in the US .. amazing.. they shouldve won the eurovision but yeah..
The quality of this cd is so high that there will be a kind of Abba effect. The Common Linnets will concur the whole world with there songs. And they will SMASH the USA as well ! Home of the country music will lay at their feet for sure !!
In my opnion this was indeed the best song by far this year. I think the Netherlands are glad that it became second. They couldn't care less. Austria may organize the ESF in 2015. The Common Linnets will cash....
Agree. I also think these 2 voices were the best together. This first album will never have a 2nd one because the male singer left. But this album is pure gold. Time has no mercy is my favorite. 😇
unfortunately they broke up Waylon is now solo as always and Ilse deLange is still running with the common Linnets but with another guy they made a Christmas song which is pretty good I thing :)
I don't mind that the 'woman' with the beard won. Because 16 number ones proofs what song was the best. Ilse and Waylon I hope you make it real real real big!
The Eurovision winner is decided by members of the public voting for their most favourite song/performance (and judges score is included). This does mean, statistically, a song that the majority don't like can win. I think what the sales show is that The Common Linnets were liked by the vast majority of Europe. That's why in democratic elections, the "winning" party needs the majority of the votes to be elected in. If they win but not with the majority, negotiations happen so that the government becomes a coalition. The point system of Eurovision helps remedy this to some extent. But people are still voting for their #1 favourite and not their #2s.
