But yes, it is mostly all true. It's just the timeliness that's off. So what we see take place over a day actually happened over a few weeks or months. But the general story is factual. Like the female pianist did really write Stalin that letter. I think her brother was killed or sent to a Gulag for no reason. Stalin's son was exactly as portrayed. A Grade A moron. And the National Hockey Team's plane crash did happen and he tried to hide it. Stalin did make his inner circle stay up to watch cowboy movies. And Khrushtrev (Steve Buscemi) would memorise his jokes for the night, before getting his wife to transcribe them so he knew what Stalin found funny and always stayed on his good side. I knew it was based on a book. But it turns out it was a Comic Book. No joke. Overall its extremely accurate. Its just appears to take place over a day or so, when in reality it's a few months. But its pretty accurate. "The Great Terror" was as scary as it looked. Over 1.5 million people were either killed or sent to Gulags. The idea was just to imprison or kill people at random, guilty of innocent. So that nobody trusted anyone. If you don't know who to trust, then you're hardly going to organise a coup. The worst was Beria, who they kill out back. He was supposedly the most evil sadistic monster ever. And into very young girls. Also think he headed up the KGB. But he was just a remorseless sociopath, way worse than he is portrayed in the Movie. It was banned from Cinemas in Russisa. A Cimema that did show it was raided by police. It's just pure class. I'd recommend to everyone.

After Putin or Kim Jong Un make a speech, there is endless applause. It's for the same reason as Stalin & Mussolini in Italy. @Arkady I am a libertarian socialist. I draw a specific line in what industries can or cannot be part of the free market. That allows many of the controls in the free market to be removed and allows the market to crash without jeopardizing the nation. I also advocate taxing the free market heavily and subsidizing the consumer through a basic income in addition to anything they earn as wages.

We used to have national monopolies owned by the State and we had exactly the same problems only because of domestic monopolies and a lack of competition we wound up with worse products sold at a higher price than a free market would have provided. Personally I would fire all clergy since they're committing fraud seize the assets of all religions and sell them off to cancel the debts of the poor. I would also cancel any recourse of these parasites to the state to pay off their student debt because divinity studies and seminary education is crap. I certainly wouldn't pay those scum a pension or redundancy because I never wanted those arseholes employed in the first place.

There is a specific legal framework involved, and as I understand it, the officials involved do not financially gain from these. If you look into it, this has been on the rise, most recently in Beijing. The occupants had all their legal paperwork, but were evicted because the dwellings were "illegal". No matter how corrupt you believe the west is, the CCP is so much worse. It’s an institutionalised part of the system, that Hong Baos(red packs) and connections mean more than any laws. Technically, their constitution dictates religious freedom. Got to the concentration camps in Xinjiang and see how that goes. The west has rule of law, China has rule BY law.

Because a couple generations got high wages, huge benefits, and pension packages! This bankrupted quite a few businesses. When the big 3 failed GM was paying out $380 million/ monthly, just on pensions! Absolutely unsustainable! Wasn't any persons fault, individually. just the unions got to strong. If a equalibrium could be found then it could work! But greed will always prevail. I know people that just worked on assembly lines, and got $4,000+ a month at 49-50yrs. Old. So that's a lot of money to pay out. And for a job that requires very little training, or higher education! My generation (39yrs. old) only dream of finding a job that will last 30yrs. And make $20-30/hr. Plus huge pensions! My friend retired from GM at 49yrs. old. He get $4,800/ month and medical insurance! That's insane! He wasn't a plant manager or supervisor. Just working on the line! It's not his fault. In my profession our contracts with utility companies last about 4 years. Then a different contractor typically replaces us. So we quit and go to new company! We call it changing shirt's! Unless your willing to travel you cannot build seniority! I had 5 years In when we lost contract we got out bid. Company said go to tennessee or Michigan. Or good by! Anyways a combination of greed from all parties and political pressure caused this fake or unrealistic wage increase that those few generations have/ or got! Theirs a book by a rich/ powerful lawyer- lobbyist! I think it's called How our generation robbed the future!

A big part of that is the drastic decline of manufacturing in the U.S. Unions have since made some gains in the service sector but not remotely enough to make up for all those lost manufacturing jobs.

Nor is it counting New Mexico or Texas. Think about that for a moment! Then again the legal immigrants for the most part have good jobs and actually pay money to taxes in the IRS every year! The majority DO NOT receive a tax check at the end of the year! VS illegal immigrants! Who on average make $36k/ yr. But 67% of those receive welfare. At an average cost of $30k plus/ yr.! You do the research and math, and think how this will hurt us catastrophically long term. It's almost as if the government is taking the country apart piece by piece.
