Can't do something like this and not talk about the several reasons why Ray Allen wanted to leave. 1. On trade block numerous times throughout Boston career. 2. Eventually benched for avery Bradley 3. Beef with the primary ball handler 4. Always took brunt of blame for celtics struggling. (His defense) 5. Boston trades him for OJ mayo and then at last minute, deal gets pulled off the table. 6. Jason Terry gets signed and he plays the same position as Ray. After ray was already unhappy with his role diminishing. 7. Boston didn't really want Ray until they saw Miami was interested. So they offer him a deal that's more money then heat can offer. But after all the points I listed...why would ray go back to boston. He wasnt hurting for money. It was about respect.
@@trebledc he has no beef with those two. He's stated in the past that he could have kept those two in the loop regarding his decision to leave Boston but at the time they were both blindsided. Ray has stated this is something he knows he messed up on. PP got over it. KG didnt.
Someone tell me that ESPN isn't ripping off Secret base SB community's "BEEF HISTORY" with this format? They even ripped off the freeze frame opening graphic still shots! Not to mention, this is so beating a dead horse...
To me, Ray going to Miami and win there is the best way to say F*ck You to a former employer. Maybe his teammates' feelings got hurt in the process but this is not about them, it's between Ray and the Celtics organization. I'm 100% behind Ray in his decision.
I met Ray Allen at the Hall of Fame in 2018 or 2019 (can't even remember at this point) and was lucky enough to talk to him for about a full minute....Ray seemed a peace with his life and was extremely well received by the people of Massachusetts. His real regret in basketball seemed to be the 2001-02 Milwaukee Bucks season.
Jordyn Taylor Ray left a few months after Boston tried to trade him at the deadline. He went to a team that wanted him and utilized his skills. Who cares who it was
there is another vid about this. Ray was was in trade rumors for most of his time in Boston, and he was fed up with it. and then Doc was playing Avery Bradley more minutes. he felt completely disrespected. who wouldnt? But he got the last laugh, bc he has 2 rings. and with the 2nd ring, he hit one of the greatest NBA Finals shots of all time, and therefore will always be remembered.
Kg and Paul allowed a young Rondo to poison the locker room and then were shocked that Ray didn't take their call. Big baby and perk were on shows saying they would be happy to see Ray, the next day Rondo proclaimed he's not welcomed and everybody else feels the same. As a Celtics fan, I'm happy Ray escaped that toxic situation.
I appreciated the video. Ray Allen definitely became my favorite player after watching my favorite movie, He Got Game. I hated that he left Boston but was happy with him winning in Miami. I wish he had played a few more years.
I was trying to get to sleep 😪 and thinking 🤔 that the game was over so I could wake up ⏰️ early and energized for work. But once Ray Allen hit that dagger 🗡 3 from a Bosh rebound pass, it made me jump up and get energized, while also disappointed and happy. I knew that I wasn't going to sleep then 😒. Even after the moment, I still jump when I see that clock ticking down and Ray Allen hitting the shot.
2011. Ray shoots career high 57% from 3 point land in play-offs. 2012 his last year in green, he drops to career low in play-offs, 30% from arc. 2013 goes to Miami, shoots over 40% 3- pointers in play-offs.
I see nothing but lies, the year ray allen left was because of all of the trade speculations surrounding him. Danny ainge wanted to trade ray allen. Stop defending boston. They have a long history of non loyalty to their players. Stop expecting the loyalty back from players.
Ray had all the right to move on after being on the outside looking in the way he was treated. But my problem with Ray is the way he handled his decision, if I'm leaving my brothers for greener pastures they'd be the first one to know that's just how brotherhood and respect work.
Ray Allen was better Pierce but the way it was run 🏃♂️ through Pierce, especially with Rando putting his ego in with canceling out Ray. I don't blame him for leaving. Boston lowered his value making it seem like he dropped off to a role player. So he went to be a role player on a better team. Ask Doc Rivers.
Miami really needed Ray. He was that 3 point shooter they expected Mike Miller to be, but he was never healthy. Also, Ray was the one to take the important foul shots at the end of the game cuz Lebron, Wade, and Bosh were good but not great free throw shooters. Ray was 90%.
Boston didn’t want him they tried to trade him and asked to him to take a pay cut to come off the bench. The only other offers he had on the table were the clippers, t-wolves, Mavs and Hawks. It was kind of a no brained to sign with the reigning champs.
@@DM-lj2mn Still talking about feelings instead of facts. You must a Participation Trophy baby. Decisions have consequences. Stop making excuses. Incymi Ray is still sore and still talking about that beef like it was yesterday. Further proof it was a bitchmove but you do you Apologist. Probably still wear your pants backwards too. My comment made you 'Jump! Jump!' Caping up for Ray will make you 'Jump! Jump!'. At the Playground...it's always a bitchmove when someone does the Can't beat 'em Join 'em move. You must not play pick-up or you grew up in organized gyms getting Participation Trophies regularly. Wash you hands. Maybe wear a helmet too kid.
Im here coz I just found out that there is this Ray Allen beef with Garnet/Celtics with that Ray-Garnet snub/no-handshake during the recent NBA 75th anniversary ceremony.
They talk as if they were a 3peat dynasty with only 1 title. The 04 Pistons won a title against prime Kobe and shaq. Dont hear them running their mouth off
Bruh y’all report on this team more than any other of that decade. Lakers went back to back and doesn’t get near the same press. Pistons went to 6 straight ECF. We’ve heard every story about this team, tell some others. Plus y’all stealing content 🙄
@@younglove3362 yeah.. and… Garnett missed the entire playoffs.. that’s why they lost.. but this comment I responded to thought the game 7 finals with lakers was 2009. So I just said it wasn’t … in 2009 they lost in second round
Question: Why are they blaming Ray for feeling slighted my ownership and not taking it? They got dumped to the Nets and maybe he felt like he didnt want that to be him.
That team would have beaten the LAL both times, and 2 titles in 3 years if Big Perk didnt get injured. he was the anchor for the Celtics. once he got hurt, i knew LAL was gonna win.
That Big 3 Era did under achieved they only won one championship and I know some was because of injuries but that lost from the Lakers 2010 hurt them and after that LeBron joined the Heat. People expected at least 2 championship from the Celtics.
Who cares??? Ray Allen was averaging 12 points his last year in Boston... and they weren’t getting past Miami in their prime... 08 Celtics so annoying!
We also forget the underlying reason too.....Ray Allen LOVES to play golf. In Miami, he can do that YEAR ROUND at some of the best courses in the world. Boston has this thing called winter that makes that a bit more difficult :)
Paul and Dirk that would have been a sick duo if that happened. man the trades that don't happen you always wonder what could have been it makes for great intrigue.
Matthew 6:27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? Luke 12:25 And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?
