My ideas for it was that Kumiko Watanabe and the others would reprise their roles (though Lolo would have to get a replacement since Tomoko Kawakami died years ago), it would also receive an English dub, and the movie would be rated PG for some frightening images and mild language.
Awesome review series of this series. I do wish this series have a bright future. Always one of my favorite franchises that Namco mode. One thing I always found interesting about Klonoa Heroes is that that Namco X Capcom (a JRPG crossover game made by Monolith Soft that also spawned the Project X Zone series) uses Klonoa Heroes as a series representation of that game (though Klonoa and Gunts's theme in the game is Stepping Wind from Klonoa 2 but other then that, the Klonoa stuff in NxC is purely based on Klonoa Heroes) so I guess Klonoa Heroes did have some footprint in history... even if both Klonoa Heroes and Namco X Capcom were only released in Japan.

As someone who's become a fan and love the series. Makes me glad this little cabbit can get the love and recognition he rightfully deserves. Also I will say that Lunatea's Vale is better then 1 when it comes to Klonoa having better friends.
I only got into Klonoa in October, and holy shit. Lunatea’ Veil is easily my favorite. From the story, to the music, to the design of Klonoa himself (yes I love how he looks in LV more than in DtP, but it’s growing on me), to the game actually making me cry for a solid hour, LV is really something special. I love this little fluffy Cabbit, he kinda replaced Rayman as my hyperfixation that lasted for two years. XD
Have you managed to play Moonlight Museum yet? As a matter of fact, I managed to get the patched version to work on Ares and complete the game by myself. I'm glad to see this nice little piece of obscure media being enjoyed by players outside of Japan thanks to the English translation. Not a masterpiece, but still a solid effort at bringing Klonoa on a handheld system at its time, with a simple but still charming setting and plot that feels like a midnight fairy tale of art and dreams
49:36 "Klonoa (almost) had a Movie??" Although this movie was canned, a Klonoa movie could absolutely be a multi-million-dollar success. Just because a character is obscure or "D-List" doesn't mean that they can't ever star in a blockbuster hit that brings them into the spotlight. I mean, just look at those Iron Man movies. I'm aware that Iron Man has always been better-known than Klonoa, yes. But, he wasn't that well-known before Robert Downey Jr started portraying him. But, since The Avengers? He's been as famous as Superman. It's the same basic idea of "somewhat obscure character becomes super-famous due to highly successful movie". However, the kind of Klonoa movie I'm thinking that could be a commercial hit probably wouldn't be the kind of movie that the existing fanbase would be thinking of. It wouldn't have the childlike aura and heartfelt melodrama of the games, especially the PS1 title. It definitely wouldn't look like this canceled movie, either. No It'd likely be a Klonoa movie that's more in the vein of big-budget animated movies like Toy Story, Cars, Despicable Me, or Zootopia. Even more so, it'd probably feel like the Sonic, Mario, and Detective Pikachu movies (not a rip-off of those, hopefully, but maybe somewhat inspired by them). In short, a commercially-successful Klonoa movie would probably have: -CGI animation -TV ads that focus on the attempts at humor -Celebrity voice-actors (i.e., the characters would speak English, not Phantomilian) -One-hit singles by Taylor Swift or whoever -More slapstick and goofy, whacky humor -Occasional raunchiness (yep, that includes toilet jokes) -Random cat meme jokes due to Klonoa essentially being a cat with flappy ears -More sarcastic and jokey writing (but not to the point where it becomes painful to watch, God-willing) -Some super-realistic version of Klonoa that scares the crap out of everyone before he's replaced by a cutesier, fluffier Klonoa that's truer to the game and therefore reels people into the movie (you know, like what happened with Sonic!) It'd certainly have those dramatic moments, where he's fighting a powerful enemy like Joka or the King of Sorrow, or maybe that moment where Huepow reveals that his memories are fake. Those heartfelt moments that could occur would really depend on which game they chose to adapt. But, it'd basically feel more like an American cartoon. It'd be quite different from the games so that mainstream movie-going audiences would be less likely to dismiss it for being "too childish/sugary/lame/etc". A movie like that could probably bring in tons and tons of new fans. Hell, it could probably create a renaissance of sorts of Klonoa. But, every new game in the series following the movie might feel more like that movie I just described, and I'm not sure how the existing fan base would receive that.
8:43 I doubt you care about that part anymore, but just in case, you're supposed to hold on to the green moo a bit before you double jump with it, otherwise you just hit the ceiling and fall. On an unrelated note, I have to say Beach Volleyball is by far my favourite Klonoa spin-off (although I haven't played Heroes). It always surprises me how deep it is, with feinting, blocking, the timing of your shots affecting their power, being able to first-time smash soft shots back at your opponents and lots of other stuff. No wonder the tutorial was so long lmao. I never really did like the GBA puzzle games, and tbh I wasn't a huge fan of LV's puzzles. I always preferred the exploration-style platforming of DtP.
