In this video we look at the entire timeline of Milhouse Van Houten. We look at Milhouse's entire life story, his past and future. Here's a fun fact Milhouse was not meant to be a Simpsons character according to Simpsons animator/director David Silverman in fact Milhouse was created for a pilot for an unmade cartoon by Matt Groening for American TV network NBC

Milhouse's first appearance was in a Butterfinger commercial with Bart, rather than on the series itself. I've never heard of Milhouse being developed for a different series.

I feel kinda bad that Milhouse always takes the fall for Barts schemes, but I also find him kinda annoying with his obsession about Lisa. It seems she was just settling when marrying him. Yeah how much love were there in the first place, if she really prefered him as a zombie, and devorced him, when they found a cure?

I'm not much of a fan of Milhouse, and certainly not his marriage to Lisa, as I said in the comments of her timeline. But I do often feel sorry for poor Kirk, maybe someday Wendell will notice that he gets to hang out with Bart Simpson.

Maybe the reason why Millhouse had an obsessive relationship with the Simpsons' family is that his parents were so inconsistent/possibly neglectful. 😭I hope that he got therapy so his work relationship and friendship with Lisa and Bart is healthier in the future episodes.

The *only* way I can make sense of it is Lisa's later relationships with women, and the ongoing gag that Millhouse had more...feminine qualities (and thr bigoted view that if he was gay or bi, he was inherently more feminine by default).

Ok I'll be perfectly honest,I really dislike the Lisa/Milhouse pairing a whole lot-it just feels like all of these women (Marge,Lisa etc) end up with toxic,immature men,and that's just depressing af. She deserves so much better imho. Sorry Milhouse fans,no offense to you guys!!^^

No you’re fine. I would honestly be shocked if there were unironic fans of that pairing. I think that pattern is intentional as an example of the “sins of the father” trope where you just end up inheriting your parents baggage and unknowingly repeating their mistakes. That and I can see Lisa settling for Mulhouse after years of failed ambition and precarious ennui making her feel like that was the best she was going to get.

I think the real message of this is that despite Lisa looking down at Marge sometimes for making poor life choices (not questioning the sexism she was raised with, not finishing college, marrying a slob...) she won't make much better choices, and she may have more in common with her mother than she thinks.

I genuinely feel bad for Milhouse. His parents are truly, truly fucking awful people and not even like Homer bad. Homer actually cares about his kids and family, he's just an idiot who doesn't think. Millhouses parents, I am firmly convinced, don't care about him at all. He has one friend, and while Bart can be a decent friend, he can also be an ass so this makes it worse. On top of this, every success Milhouse has ever had crumbles around him almost immediately. I'm honestly not shocked he's got an obsession with Lisa, shes one of the few people who's ever remained in his life who actually cares at all,even if it's not romantically. Like, the poor guy just needs one win to stick

My favourite episode of the Simpsons is “Homer Defined” where Milhouse is mother forbidden the boys being friends and Marge sticks up for Bart. It showed how much the relationship meant so much to both boys and showed how Marge will always support her son. Plus, it such a real life circumstance, where childhood friends are separated because of adult issues and I always liked the real life based episodes.

Another suggestion of Milhouse's Shelbyville family connection is when he meets another Milhouse in Shelbyville. I felt like maybe they are cousins named after some obscure relative or the like of both of them (a great grandfather etc.). "Is this the untimely death of Milhouse." "But Milhouse is my name." "But I thought I was the only one." "A pain I know only too well." "So this is what it feels like when doves cry."

I said it once before, even though I feel bad for Milhouse, I do think him and Lis shouldn’t be together. Their relationship is toxic and Milhouse acts like a *stalker* at times. I think what Bart does in their teenage years is for the best and I hope the writers will change their mind and let Lis end up with Nelson instead

Honestly Millhouse is done dirty In the future (ignoring the Zombie thing) because he’s basically used as a way to show Lisa’s relationship progression and contrasting him with Nelson for the will they won’t they. Outside of the brief time in prison during his teens he didn’t really change much. The Millhouse Lisa relationship dosent work because it’s a more well rounded and mature Lisa with 10 year old Millhouse
