Why do they do that?! Just make them the same. Keep the lettering in the spine uniform. Don’t change up the placement of the numbers. Why are you changing the art style 4 books into the series?!?!
When I was 11 I got birthday money and decided to buy the 5th book of the Narnia series myself. But, being a child I opted for the cheaper paperback instead of the lovely hardcover editions my grandparents had been gifting me. I spent years searching for a hardcover copy once I got older. My husband is the one who finally found a copy and gifted it to me. It's one of my favorite gifts ever.
This is why I have 2 entire sets of the Speak series. They re-released them halfway through me reading them, so I collect the pink ones at thrift stores, and the bigger dark ones were bought new at the time.
The "I love this book you should read it" and "I hated this book you should read it" is so true. I want my book bestie to read everything I read so we can talk about it
I think I'm that friend. My bestie had me read the Percy Jackson series, and I don't regret it a bit. All of my favorite books and TV shows, weirdly enough, have come from my friends. 😅
@@GreekhistorybuffMy friends basically shoved The Lightning Thief into my hands and went "read this". They spoil everything but that's okay because I can just spoil everything in the book series that I shoved into their hands! :D
I have pictures on my phone and screen shots on my laptop, and some saved tabs, and "want" list on Amazon (also a second list for gifts ideas for my friend), and some open tabs in my browser for the books I want to buy next ... And now I try not to buy books until I organise my bookshelves and make a list of already own ones (to avoid doubles)😂
I just take the picture so I remember to get it from the library for free. Yes I'm cheap but also I've moved so many times and I'm trying not to get too many books
@@Hannah-K-7-14 best way to tell if its a good book! New books smell like opportunity and hope, older books smell like forgotten secrets and lore, and middle aged books smell the the person who read them last (which will tell you a lot about the plot)
@@Theomite eh they all smell good. But yeah old books, like, you smell everywhere theyve been. You could probably wrote a book about another book just based off the smell.
@@golden_opal6050 That'd be a cool idea: a reader who can read a book by simply smelling the pages as they flip or maybe even get glimpses of the book's past life as the pages waft odor at them.
To be fair... I have a fiancé who is a big book lover Whenever she does it, I simply put it silently in the bag and check out with everything) She realises it only when we are already home... Reaction is priceless, and she is just too precious)
even better, go to the library! it’s completely free to use so if you don’t like the book it’s no cost to you to their than time. even if the book you’re looking for isn’t there you can request it from a different library or even ask the library to buy it if it’s not in circulation. there’s definitely waiting involved especially if it’s a popular book and there’s a line of people who have it on hold but if there’s a reliable library system near you it’s really the better option. they have ebooks for free as well, like with the app libby
Yes. Especially if I find the one I want, that nobody else has picked up and looked through yet. Lol… I don’t like when people bend or crease the pages, and then decide they don’t want it. I know… I’m working on it. 😂📚🤷🏽♀️ Disclaimer: That only applies to new books. Lol
I think Cass is partly everyone’s favourite, and I’ve always held a soft spot in my heart for Jason Todd but if he counts even though he’s not a vigilante I think Alfred Pennyworths got to be my favourite
The part where you take pictures of the books you want or think you might like is so relatable to me I do this all the time its nice to know someone else does it too
I have a large doc of all the books Im missing and what book series im waiting to be fully released. They'll pop up like reminders "Hey on this day this series releases the final installment" and I can happily go buy entire series. My poor library has so many series that are missing books.. my quest to own every book is ongoing
Taking a picture of a book you want but not buying it until you have a gallery filled with pictures of books which you swear to buy eventually is so relatable
I got a bunch of 2 to 3 dollar books from 2nd and charles clearance section plus the new young adults books for 50 % off since they are doing a sale on it
As much as i love physical books, the feel of the pages and the smell of it, i'm too used to the convenience of using a kindle...and also carrying a million and one books in it.
Me buying and hoarding book not to be read but for the experience of touching and smelling page and make pretty bookshelf.... But mostly read in my phone or tablet hehehe
The not the same size thing is so accurate though. Like i want the book but if it doesn't line up perfectly with its siblings, then it's going to drive me crazy. So yes i have to think about how much i NEED to read this book now 😅
The price check is so real. Went book shopping with us grandma and saw the special edition for Six of Crows (so fucking gorgeous), wanted it so bad and then saw it was 46 bucks. Told her it was too expensive but she bought it anyway *cackle*
The experience IS the experience! It isn't what you get, it's what you MIGHT FIND & MIGHT GET! Even better is THRIFT. Because you don't know what you'll find!😊
Oh that nightwing book is so good. I think 90% of us will always say that phrase. I am only here for one book. Lol. Also the bathroom bit was very funny. Great video.
