Would actually say the Wolves are more well rounded. The Celtics may be more top heavy but especially with Porzingis out their bench is not deep at all. Meanwhile the Wolves have Naz Reid 6th man of the year and Nickeil and Anderson are also pretty solid. And Celtics also have two stars so its not that different.

Horford is coming off the bench when KP is healthy, Hauser gets no love despite being lights out shooter and solid defender, Pritchard is criminally overlooked, Queta and Brissett are solid. I think the Wolves are more well rounded either way, but the gap is EXTREMELY small between the two as far as bench pieces. If Minnesota was also down a big man, their next backup big is Luke Garza who only got 5mpg this year
My Mavs had no business winning game 1 we shot so badly from 3 but Ant and them Wolves were gassed in the 2nd half and clawed back in. Lukai did what we expected though, go crazy in the P&R and got our bigs easy baskets all night.

I’ve never heard a football player who played on a Thursday night say “we were tired”.. the Mavs played on Saturday, the Wolves played on Sunday. The fact that Luka is older and on two injured knees, a injured back and Kyrie is a decade older than him.. not looking good for Minnesota if that’s the excuse. On another note, I respect the hell out of Minnesota for having actual pride in their defense and not just trying to injure the other teams best players like OKC. Minnesota at least has class and I won’t feel bad losing to them if they out coach us cause their players have my respect.
Also, these games are every other day. So if ant is so tired after 2 days rest, he won't get any less tired after 1 day rest between every game. This excuse is just pathetic.

I think the Mavs match up really well with the Wolves. They will struggle trying to stop Luka and Kyrie. Kyrie is flat out better than Jamal and he is healthy this year. Mavs stole this one too. Probably another 7 game series here.

Not gonna mention that atrocious free throw differential, there, Funky? Celtics would have lost by 15 if the refs actually called fouls on them like they should, or called fouls on the Pacers like they did on the Celtics (which was basically never).
To be fair, I think the wolves are just worse from home, and they only fell out of the game off of a defensive interference call in the stretch. The wolves body language did not look good, but that lack of favor in the refs made a huge difference.
That call was spot on from the few camera angles we got, ball was definitely gonna hit the rim again after the bounce and could have gone in. The call on Josh Green for 3 free throws was also bs, when they showed the slow mo he didnt touch him at all in the shot and even kept his hands below his waist to emphasize that. Refs were extremely balanced whole game and the Mavs won while bricking countless open 3s, you wont have them bricking open 3s all series...
Only 3 teams have won when the other team makes 12 more 3s than the other team and them only turning the ball over 10 times. Mavs overcame that cuz they scored relentlessly in the paint.

Why are we not using big dik D Exum? He can play the point and hit big shots. Instead, we are curly and moe. Rsndom ball of energy Green and iso 1v1 Hardy. We revived Exum’s career ffs. We finally got our reclamation after failing with burke and Nitilikina. He was massive in the rockets game and down the stretch end of the szn. Just to not use him. Why?!??

Confidence is mean alot in playoff. I look PJ, DJJ and gaford at first game against clippers not have that and mavs really lost that game cause of it. Fortunately the confidence of PJ and DJJ rose soon game after game. Gaford slow but sure get back his confidence and exum until this game look feel unconfidence. Maybe he need first luck to start his confidence
If Kyrie wins his 2nd ring, he’s undoubtedly a 1st ballot HOFer. I’d definitely put him above KD in the All-Time rankings at this point too (assuming KD never wins another ring).
KD got two FMVPs and was the best player on his chips. Plus all other side by side comparisons nah kyrie wouldn’t pass him if they win. I do want the mavs to win it all tho.

No one on the planet respects his “two championships and FMVPs” because he may as well not have them. He played with Russ and Harden in OKC, Kyrie and Harden in Brooklyn and now Beal and Booker in Phoenix. He can’t win without Steph and the Warriors.
