Definitely different to see them play such a massive stage outside during the day

I don't get what's wrong with this performance?

Outdoor gigs are no good for any band. Even the temperature is wrong, sound waves travel better at night when it is cooler and human consciousness is hardwired to listen to music at night, as we sit around the campfire.

No They definitely suite a venues wherever you like music no matter the venue

@@foxmcfly_ don't get me wrong, TC can dominate any kind of stage, but a big high up festival stage in broad daylight takes away a big element of their indoor/night shows which is the fantastic light show and vibe that they bring forward. The music doesn't suffer; but the experience does a little bit

Tommy Vines fully agree with your statement. I saw them fried as fuck with animals as leaders in that environment and it was breathtakingly beautiful

What was wrong with this performance?

@@TheCrumpers53 The style, going from fast to slow, with the off beat drums, screaming to subtle cleans, is not very suited to massive stages. It doesn't get the crowd hyped up. It doesn't have that driving beat to stir the emotion like traditional metal or hard rock. But if you add in lights, smoke, background images, etc, that all plays off the audio, which is beautiful. It lets the viewer get drawn in by the visuals along with the music.

This was the first live thing ive seen from them and i really enjoyed it. You can just tell when a band is tight right away.

He keeps those high screeches kinda rare these days. I don't blame him. I can't imagine those are good for his throat, even with a perfect technique

Can’t speak for anyone else but for me at least and why I think that is is because I’m always so concentrated to the musicians and what they are playing and being a drummer I just watch the drummer the whole time. A lot of djent/prog/instrumental music’s fans are mostly or a lot of musicians who appreciate what’s actually going on and the different time signatures and compositions. It’s not really scene bands that have 4/4 breakdowns and easy to jump along to and mosh to. Animals as leaders is my favorite band and besides physical education, there’s not a lot of songs that you can consistently bob your head to since the beat and signatures change so frequently lol. That’s just me and my guess

@@B1tterAndThenSome no, it's just like this one. Except The night time, small venue lightshow adds to the experience so you'll probably hardly see their faces. Unlike this open show which doesn't do their live presence much justice. Even playing the older stuff they're pretty stationary/ methodically slow moving. An mike has that maynard james keenon robot type thing going for him mainly. He moves the most when he's screaming but it's mainly not too hectic live.
