I'm a big fan of thicker pads like you, and personally I have a 2.5mm neoprene rubber (doesn't compress so it doesn't affect the control characteristics of the particular pad I'm using) sheet that I cut slightly smaller than my pad vertically and has two main benefits: 1. Brings forearm closer to parallel with table which increases stability and decreases strain 2. I never feel the edge or stitching of any soft or hybrid pad on my forearm as it falls below the edge of the neoprene sheet (the reason why it's cut slightly shorter). It could potentially be something to look into if you're interested! I know a lot of pros stack mousepads for this reason too.
Hey Simon, thats a really good idea! I'm no stranger to stacking pads during playtime, but I like the idea of having a rubber base to lay them on instead of another pad. I have previously put a cloth pad on top of a glass pad, so i can easily switch between the 2. But rubber would be ideal. Thanks for sharing
Great review! Thanks for the little details. About the discoloration: Would you say you sweat a lot during sessions or nah? Thinkin of getting this pad along with an arm sleeve if discoloration becomes a thing in the long run
If you enjoy the 6mm thickness, you can maybe try the esptiger ya sheng and tang dao x out. Thank you for making videos for larger hands player and keep it up
Hey Log! If you enjoy the GSR2 I feel like you would love the EspTiger QingSui Ya Sheng. It's like a plushier, smoother GSR2 and it also has better stopping power IMO. It's basically like if the QCK, GSR-SE and GSR had a baby lol
I actually really like both, and would suggest the EC1-CW mouse feels like home (very comfy but sometimes a bit boring), and the U2 feels like a way more rock and roll experience, a bit more exciting and overall a super strong shape for claw. I think if I had to choose one of these 2 models for the rest of my life, it would be the EC1-CW, but if they made a larger model of the U2 (hopefully a U1 is in the works!) then I dont know what I'd pick 😅 EC1-CW nips it to the post cos it's more size appropriate I think.
