Awesome video and definitely want to do this as my next project! Just tried checking out and the coupon code is expired. Will it be back up anytime soon?
I'll take a hard pass. I might as well hand my keys over to the hacking car thieves in NYC but great mod if you live on the Island of Love! Forward, Upward, Onward! 🇧🇸🇧🇸
Car thieves will steal your car if they really want to, no matter how much technology changes or stay the same. The old way of stealing car is definitely less complex than hacking your vehicle. I'm just saying...
I don't care what any of the comments say, this is a cool mod. A little out of my price range, but I like to dream I wasn't married and could buy all this stuff. Not sure why Jeep drivers feel you shouldn't do any mod that isn't off road related. I live in NYC so I barely do off road mods to my Jeep. It would make no sense...so I guess, even though this is my third Jeep, I'm not a real Jeep owner... Don't listen to the haters and keep doing these videos. A lot of us appreciate the time and effort you put into them.
Great answer Mike! Keep in mind the module on my website is in Australian dollars. At the end of the day, it's your own jeep and you do whatever you want with it. Some people have opinions which is fair and some others are just there to be nasty but the best thing to do is ignoring 🙂👍
I know its been a while since you've installed this push to start in your JKU but Im starting to think about it... Any additional feedback in respect to... would you do it again, how secure it is with a soft top, has it held up, or would you still highly recommend it? Should I just stay with my JK key ignition, with a Compustart/Drone Mobile GPS alarm? Thanks JW
@@adventuredex Check out antigravity batteries. They don't have a wrangler specific battery, but they have a size that wrangler owners tend to swap to. Their lithiums are a bit pricey, but after having one on my ADV bike for several years now. I will be eventually getting one for all the vehicles. Has a reserve system that shuts down the battery for unusual or high draw. So if you let it go dead you can just push a key fob button, or a button on top of the battery. Then it unlocks the reserve and lets you start the vehicle.
I would love to have this but I can’t justify spending $1,000 for this over mods that will improve my off road capabilities. Great video though thank you for showing us cool tech that’s out there for the jk!
Hi there, Keep in mind the prices on my website are Australian dollars. The price in US dollars is $650. Use code ADVENTUREDEX at the checkout and get $100 off 🙂👍
Passive Keyless Entry and push button start are almost standard on all cars and are standard on the late model 18's up. However Dex you installed this with out all the other issues I have seen in other RU-vid videos where those guys ended up being beta testers and had to discovery how to work around issues. This one seems to be almost plug and play. I dislike the key to start. I work driving maybe 10-12 cars a day and delivering them and let me tell you none of them use key start. Great video.
@CarlosRodriguez-oq4hq to bypass steering lock you can remove the ignition block and lock down the pin for the steering lock or you can make a simple key cut of your factory key, cut the excess and leave it in the ignition. It's totally safe since the key cut has no chip therefore the Jeep will not start.
I told my girl the same thing. I’ll say it like this do it Now just buy parts and put them on it’s easy once you start you can’t stop. It’s fun to get a new package in the mail every week even if it’s a 50$ part of hood latches. It’s all in the fun. We started a few months ago when Covid hit and we can’t stop. You don’t have to spend a lot just do what you can afford and what you like. When your done take a step back and admire your hard work one day it will all come together. We have a 2014 JKU and we get asked all the time is that new ? People think it’s a 2019. They don’t know until we tell them it’s a 2014. Best of luck and have fun.
Hi John, I make these myself and don't have an Amazon store as of yet. Please message me on instagram if you would like to get yours. :) @Evil.jk Thanks! Gianni
why does the horn honk for every action like the started the car with the remote it honk you pressed the button to start the car it honked you turned it off it honked that annoying
Hi Joshua, It is just the way I program the module for American Jeeps due to the factory alarm system. The honk can easily be turned off with your factory key after installation. Thanks Gianni
Hi mate I have 2010 jeep wrangler jk model and I did do like you on your car same function but I did only spins $52.99 work every things like your car and one more think I put switch top on original key place .my system is not plug and play I did my own wiring .
Don’t you hate watching install videos from somebody who makes this shit look easy, but when you try and do it, it’s hard as fuck and takes days to get right lol 😆
Hi bro. I have seen that you have another main screen of radio, maps and other functions. I mean the central screen, and I don't see video of the change from the android screen to the one you currently have. Could you tell me what is that video? thanks bro
I'm already using a Y-Cable off the ignition for a cellular remote start service, I wonder if I can use both Y-Cables together so I can use both systems together.
OK, so here we go again. This website link is an unsecured website for this product and I also noticed that the "Carobotor" digital dash screen thingy is $1,000 more than the $1,200 the original crappy Chinese/Canadian site sells it on. Here's the value your channel does for me: If AdventureDex is talking up a certain product....then it's a product you shouldn't buy and install in your Jeep.
Hi Andrew, just letting you know I'm in Australia therefore, my prices are in Australian dollars. My website run on https security so it is safe and secure. Thanks for your concerns Gianni
Hi James, The prices on my website are in Australian dollars. I spend a lot of time and effort making this a true plug and play module for the JK so I can guarantee you it isn’t the same stuff you see on Amazon/eBay Thanks Gianni
Where can I find this Jeep mode. Dex says Gianni custom made this. I might have misses it. Would appreciate if someone can let me know where to look. Not having much luck. Thanks
Will it work with a Viper system already installed in the Jeep? I would probably have to replace the whole system right? Since this has unlock and lock feature. But no alarm warning sound? Pretty cool mod nonetheless, would’ve gotten it if i didn’t already have an aftermarket system.
Hi Oliver! My smart wrangler module is not compatible withe viper system as it runs independently. If you want an alarm, I leave 2 wires within the harness to hook up a siren. If you are going to add a siren, I can also provide a g shock sensor. Thanks! Gianni
Wait the push start and auto stop are some of my biggest failures in the JL but you're promoting this as a biggest best nod on the jk? To each thier own I suppose. I'm still hoping for a bare bones simplistic wrangler to hit the market opposite of today's trend
Thanks for the thoughts. I totally see where your coming from but I have a thing for technology and its exciting to see what is being developed for the JK
Hey Dex… after Living with this for a year, do you still like this push button mod/ auto start mod? Are you still using it? Have you had any issues with it? Would you use it again? Looking for a auto start for my JK but I was specifically looking for one that works with my iPhone through an app, however I like the geofence keyless lock on this module
@@adventuredex I’m going to send you a revised version soon which will fix your battery issue :) I’ve been very busy with other things for a while but back on the crazy jeep mods train
Does the key fob have a key inside that comes out (like Audi back in the day) just in case the system goes haywire and we need to start the car with the key?
The amazon kits are “universal” this kit is customized specifically for the wrangler. The modules are upgraded and wiring harness is designed to be plug and play. Worth the extra money in my opinion 👍🏼
Hi there, My website is all in Australian dollars. The module is $650 USD. Use the promo code ADVENTUREDEX and you'll get $100 off valid until the end of this month🙂👍
I have a question on the push button start. Can you change the flashing lights on the push button ? I would want it one color and be able to dim it using the factory dimmer. Also can the Auto Start work on a Manual and is there a Safty Incase it’s left in gear and auto started? I have a 6 speed that’s why I ask. Can you role down the windows by pressing and holding the unlock button? And the same with rolling them up? Also is there a Key Hole delete? I like the push button it makes it look newer but from a passenger view it looks like a Autozone stick on mod. Beacuse you see the obnoxious flashing start stop switch then the factory keyhole. It’s just not a clean OEM look. I have bin in my friends newer 2019 with the more modern look and I would want the same for my 2014. With this Push Button. The Glass Dash upgrade is fantastic and looks clean and factory people see it and think the Jeep is newer 2019 not 2014. So if you can fine a key hole delete and a way to reconfigure the lights on the push button I am all in. Thanks keep up the great work.
Hi Sean, I have changed the sequence of light for the push to start. the button blinks when pressing the brake and when the engine is running, the button is dimmed red. I'll be developing a module for manual transmission very soon but it is likely that I wont program remote start to avoid issues. Regarding the windows roll up and down feature I might be looking into that in the future. I do provide an ignition blank cover to hide the ignition barrel which fits perfectly in the ignition hole. I hope I've answered most of your questions but if you need more infos contact me on instagram: @Evil.JK Thanks Gianni
Wished my jlu never had it. Locked my keys in my jlu sport twice. I don’t have power windows/door locks, so I have to open the door with the key, then find a place to put my stupid brick sized key fob. Keys always find a way to fall through the cracks while driving. Just a matter of time when I’m in a hurry, dammit, I close the door and realized I left my keys in the car. I’m so used to the old routine, never had problems starting the car the old fashion way, and don’t get me started with the start/stop battery system.
