After years and years and a couple more years, I FINALLY bought a Jeep Wrangler!!!!! Super excited, subbed and been watching your vids. Hoping this will be my first mod. Never done anything to a vehicle before, but you simplify things greatly so i'm hoping to be good with this.

For those of you asking below: I've had my Dasaita (same as Dex's Seicane, just a different Chinese company) about two years now, and it still works. I've had to reboot it many times, as sometimes it just locks up or gets "stuck" on the loading screen. Like phones, it's gotten slower over time, too. Some apps aren't getting some of the updates, like the RU-vid app, for example. However, it's really the only game in town if you want a big-screen Android unit in your Jeep. I love mine. When it dies, and I have no doubt it will, I'll just replace it with a newer model of the same thing.

Thx for doing a video on this awesome head unit! After we watched this video we decided to give it a try. It's been about 2 or 3 weeks we've had the unit in our Wrangler and we love it!!! We use android on a daily basis anyway so we really enjoyed having our fav apps available at anytime. Works amazing with our OBDII and Tourque app. Works with Waze too! We love that we have connection to wifi everywhere and makes it so easy to listen to our library of 5000 songs via Google play music! Couldn't ask for an easier instill as well. Coming with 0 instructions is def a downfall however we just watched your video while installing and it was a breeze. The sound is 10x better then our factory head unit. We also have a sub which is just amazing now! It's like this head unit was just what it needed to work at it's full potential! And the price is out of this world- a true Steal!!! Thx for sharing, we are very happy with this unit! Will be ordering another for our Jeep SRT8 soon!

Just a tip when taking out the power window controls, you did scuff your dash a little even though you used the cloth. What you can do instead is take out one of the vents and stick your hand in and push out the harness from the back, no scuffs! Or just use a plastic pry tool lol.

That is sweet!! I saw the Alpine unit and they want over $3,000 for it, what a rip off, I am going to go with this one with the OBD2 with blue tooth so that I can monitor the engine. This even comes with the replacement dash where the Alpine you have to cut your factory dash in half. Thanks for posting!!

Don't use a screwdriver wrapped in a towel. Use a plastic spud. You can get 10 of them for $2 from Harbor Freight. Great video. Keep up the good work.

Adventure Dex that is a sweet radio I brought the Alpine radio 009 with the 9' screen but I think your radio is way better I might have to invest in one thanks for the video!!!!

Great video! I've had an experience with this company, not a good one though. First I have to say that I can't say anything bad about the product, but my issue was with the company. I normally don't talk bad about any company, but I feel I have to share my experience. Seicane contacted me about a month ago asking if I could film a complete installation and review of this unit in exchange for the unit free of charge. I normally turn down companies I've never heard of, but this one intrigued me so I said sure! They asked for my info, name, address etc, I provided them with all of my info and then they contacted me back that day. They asked me to pay them $91.00 for shipping and a deposit for 80% of the total cost of the unit! I said, I thought it was a promo unit in exchange for the video? They replied it is free, you just have to pay us shipping and 80% of the unit and we will refund you if we like the video and if you give a good review! They also wanted me to give an in depth review on their website saying how good this unit is and how much I like it. At this point I just wanted to see if this was a scam, so I said okay, how do I pay the shipping and deposit? They wanted me to pay the shipping to one paypal account and the deposit to a different paypal account! Sound fishy to anyone else? I politely declined their offer. Like I said, I can't say anything bad about the unit itself, but something is a little off with this company. In no way am I saying not to buy from this company, or take anything away from AdventureDex or his video. I'm just sharing my experience with this company.

Hi Dex, I will start by saying that I love your videos. Very informative and your presentation is great! I purchased this radio straight from the manufacturer and could not wait to get it. Received the radio and dash kit and was so excited to install it. After installing the radio I also had purchased the wireless back up cam that is an option with this radio and I am experiencing some issues. The radio keep freezing on me and I have to reset it all the time. Major bummer. Also, the back up camera only works some of the time. Not sure if it's because it's wireless or not. They also sent me the wrong dash kit. I have a 2016 Black Bear and they keep sending me the previous models dash. Is there any trouble shooting that you can advise me on. Please. Also still have not received the right dash kit! Thanks in advance for your response! Keep up the good work with the videos! Adam

I have an iPad installed in my jeep as well, some of the most useful apps that I can think of: 1) google Map or Waze, 2) iBook with jeep user manual in PDF, 3)OBDfusion, 4) GasBuddy, 5) Spodify, 6)inclinometer, 7)GoPro app, 8)notebook that I airdrop notes from my iPhone to the iPad with maintenance intervals, torque specs, fluid type for different components etc.

im thinking about getting it but could you make an update video in like a week to give a full review on it pros and cons and was it worth it?

Just installed one in my Jeep. Working with the seller because they changed the wiring off the CAN BUS unit. Also haven't been able to tether my android phone to it. It will power the phone but not tether. Will be installing a backup cam next to test that.

I saw when you first hooked it up that it showed the open doors, so it must be communicating with the onboard computer. So I'm wondering if it can be used to reset the speed and gear shift point parameters for when you install larger tires?

Thanks to this video I ordered this system and its the best upgrade ever!! I only need to connect my back camera, and I´m thinking on a front camera also. My only gripe is it does not seem to pick up my phone when somebody is calling me even when they are paired via bluetooth (I have a 3g dongle for data connected direct to the unit via USB dongle so it does not use my phone's data), it looks like I have to open the bluetooth app manually to answer the calls, does your show up your phone calls in the screen automatically?? Great video! I sell Alpine car Audio products and so far they were the only ones with a replacement option of this magnitude. However, Alpine's new one does Apple carplay and is water resistant. And has optional vehicle function controls. The major downside to Alpine's product though, is that it's lots of $$$$$$$$$. This is great alternative, thank you for showing!

Guys there is a difference in dashboard i believe 2007 to 2011 had pod speakers which have different sytle dash and 2011 to 2017 have flat speakers so that dashboard is different you will need to send in your dash pic to the seller Chinese or seicane for them to send you the right head unit with right dashboard

4 things I hate about this is the screen resolution is only 1024 x 600. My Lenovo tablet is 1920 x 1080! Movies look amazing on my tablet. The second thing I hate about having Android in a head unit is very soon the operating system will be out of date. Also I noticed it only has 2gig of ram. You need at least 4gig. And finaly, They don't have a kit for my right hand drive diesel JK wrangler diesel.

If so, how's it working (obviously dependent on your service but is it fairly quick)? Dude, that was sick!!! I was actually just looking at a head unit with less than a third of the features for about $850. Your timing is perfect. One question I do have, can you activate the rear camera without shifting into reverse? Also, do you have a direct line of communication with Seicane? If so, do they have the option for a dash for an early model JK without the power window cutout?

Just found the channel and am liking it! Quick question about this unit (and similar units out there) can you still access the apps and the navigation while the Jeep is on? I've seen a lot of them that require you to put the vehicle in park before you can change the navigation points and whatnot.
