Its a work horse so things like fuel economy might have been worth mentioning? Engine size? Performance? Road tax? Load capacity? Security? Do another video with the important bits please.

No mechanical modifications to differentiate/improve it on the standard lineup, then? I imagine that security is as poor as usual, not ideal in a van that screams “look at me”.

Also it is a van at the end of the day. Main purpose to carry stuff. Modifying it usually ends up making it heavier therefore it can’t carry as much legally. I do like the electric exhaust system but the wheels and low body panels wouldn’t be good when driving off road which a lot of vans do.

I was going to email you guys as I’ve now chopped my viper green caddy in for a custom dciv L2. I saw that BoTb claim the MSRT dcvi is 36k so I got a quote from them and it ended up 45k??? Way too much so I’ve ordered an Inferno X 320 limited dcvi 170ps manual in magnite grey. Get it in a week 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

About Transit used as RV, I wonder why people choose sliding cargo doors instead of hinged swinging doors. By blocking both at 90 ° we obtain an additional private space (kitchen / shower / toilet) that can be closed with a curtain.

Apologies. Power is 168bhp, 405Nm torque. 0-62mph in 9.7s, Top speed just under 100mph, 43mpg avg, 183g/km CO2, Euro 6 engine.

Sport? You in the UK would love our Canada/US version with the V6 3.5l twin turbo (310hp) Ecoboost engine! I drive them all of the time for my job and they are monsters in comparison to the UK offering! A coworker, after I whupped his ass in his Dodge hemi pickup truck watched me take on two different Mustangs...no winner...dead tie both times which is not bad for a big "shoe box on wheels"! Yeah yeah, fuel economy and all but I don't pay for the fuel, the company (film production) does.

It'll break down! I own 2016 and had nothing but trouble with it! It's the 2.0 manual. Had gasket went at 54.000 miles a/c packed in!

That will be the driver, have 3 of these and all done over 180k, dpf changed and all run fine.

I had a 16 reg one and did near on 100k in just over 2 years. Didn't miss a beat. My vito I had and vw transporter were awful. The Vito in particular

Standard transit custom is a great van, and a great all round vehicle. No need for all this extra stuff , just to go and fit boilers. (In my case).

On this van it was standard 170hp Transit. MS-RT do offer some tuning upgrades though.

Probably for longevity, the Transit has to be seriously tough, far more so than a car. My guess is the rotary dial wouldn’t stand up to big plaster covered hands!

It’s a Modern day status symbol too boot! If you run one of these, it says my business is going well and my wife really is the Boss in our house! She drives the daily Q7/ X5 which my Dailey graft pays for! I only get to visit the drivers seat of said vehicles when they need filling up!!! Why shouldn’t I have the best of both Worlds??? That’s exactly the Target Audience for Ford!!! As usual, being the leaders in the Van World for so long, they’ve seen a gap! Nothing wrong with that! A Geezer with a works vehicle that he doesn’t feel puts him down the pecking order! The Mrs is Happy! That’s the whole point! The Assistant Boss/ Husband get to have the best of both Worlds! Simples!!!!

Nice looking van but has 2 problems for me it's diesel and auto not for me, if you go to the trouble to make a van look that nice it needs an ls7 & a 6 speed box hmmm, nice though.

Not really pointless, MSRT can’t build these quickly enough, huge numbers of people have to drive a van every day and want something that looks good as well.

Went to order one of these, but didn't in the end. MS-RT prices are shocking. They wont do any sort of deal. I then did some research about MS-RT and the general option I got was MS-RT are a shocking company to deal with and their after sales care is non-existent. Think I swerved a bullet there. Shame, as I love the van.

You buy ford You need to be ready for problems Problems will appear before warranty runs out 100% Forget ford dealership- they will not fix it I really believe ford service reception girls go through special training how to talk bs with straight face. Even after talking with people above reception jokes I'm still waiting for a promised phone call back- it's now 3.5 weeks past and they told me , they gonna phone in 2 days.. Guess why next 5 Van's coming are not from ford? Would avoid ford at all costs..

I can confirm that the ms-rt custom is cool as fuck. I have one and am due to buy a nice new one again asap. On this occasion though I did entertain other options such as the custom GT and a VW transporter highline 204 output with DSG. Test drove the vw T6 yesterday and wasn’t wowed or blown away if I’m honest. And to pay another 8-10k on top of what the ford costs it’s an absolute rip off IMO. Ford transit custom GT or MSRT wins hands down for me sorry. Took out a GT today in the auto to compare against the vw DSG & my older M-Sport and loved the GT as well. So for me it just comes down to personal preference and who’s up for a deal. So Ford or Ford wins 😄😃😁. Anyone who’s a VW loyalist I understand and if anyone wants to know the new VW T6.1 is due out in the next few weeks. Orders already being taken as well.
