Wow thanks for showing my Spero EDC Fixie, I hope you all get some use and enjoyment out of it! It was awesome to get to play around with your design in person I think you nailed it! 🙌🏼
Please make a left handed version of your knife! I have been looking for a budget modern traditional for awhile, but being a lefty limits me. You would have a customer if you made a lefty version.
In 2024, you’re selling yourself short by making a pocket knife without a left hand carry pocket clip design. Ambidextrous is the name of the game these days.
Your blade design is without a doubt the best looking civivi I have seen in a long long time, possibly ever. Absolutely fantastic work. Please make an XL version with a 4+ inch blade, I will most likely buy this but would love to carry a larger version every day.
as a lefty living in a right handed world, it's fine to not have a left handed knife. for over a decade I've grown used to how to operate a knife a with my left hand. I'd imagine it would feel weird attempting to relearn how to operate a liner lock just for one knife. Just my two cents
Maybe it's just me, but liner locks always work ok for me as a lefty. No reason NOT to do a reversible clip and sometimes people want it just for the particular pocket they like to use.
Love the Clingman. It really reminds me of a sadly discontinued Civivi Appalachian, another modern traditional, with similiar blade shape and that milling resembling a bolster.
I did end up getting the aluminum TR-3, and I love it. The steel one was sick, but the aluminum was numbered, more pocketable and less expensive, it is my new favorite knife.
If I hadn't spent my funds already at the show, I would have definitely picked up the Chaves. I picked the Pro-tech show TR3 Integrity in aluminum and I love it. I did get to fondle the steel, that one was special.
bruh, it was the first day, I had an early bird ticket and I was talking to you Kyle and Zac at the Civivi booth, and you hand me the cllingman right out of your pocket, I open it, go to close it, and the blade falls and slices the back of my knuckle. I felt so dumb, thank you for showing me that, it was such an awesome experience getting to meet y'all. Can't wait until it drops and I can get the knife from my favorite RU-vidr.
Not gonna lie, when you showed your design and I saw the "C" I thought you were going to say they made a BestDamnEDC Appalachian Drifter edition that brought the liner lock back... Love seeing what you picked up at blade show and your content! ✌🏼
I think you ought to consider making a bigger version of the Clingman for people who look for bigger knives. I'd personally would love to have a fixed blade of a bigger version of this.
super stoked on your design Taylor! Love the clean design, the lack of jimping, the blade shape. I appreciate the small details, like the thumbstud being in line with the choil, for easier sharpening. I dig the small front flipper, and can't wait to get one. Hope you do a blackout version too :)
That zaan is everything I need. I love my zaan. Your video was the first I ever saw about the Umnumzaan and your video made me get one after some odd years of contemplating
14c28n is one of the steels that I can get wicked sharp. I actually sent myself to the hospital playing with my vosteed raccoon. She’s mine for life now 😂 Greet video! Dude don’t take away the reversible clip! Or just please please please release a left handed version. Thanks for the video don’t remove the reversible pocket clip 🤣🤣
Congrats bro! Such a nice knife and Civivi is a great choice for manufacturing. That Chaves may be on my list for making custom scales. It would give me an excuse to buy one for sure.
Always watch your videos from Australia, Taylor. Very excited for your first knife design. Hope the clingman gets released here in Australia next year. It's a great design and a very good looking knife
Cool clip blade! Congrats man! is awesome that you are making the modern traditionals more affordable and available to the people! btw quick note on the sendy that is inspired by the barlow pattern with a spey blade, just in any case anyone might be interested in checking more iterations of it. Also, the bougie selection quite exquisite! Protech always another level…. who knows maybe someday… and also great that got your green fix on the CRK…. would love to see some real wear on those scales! Cheers!🍻
***THE CLINGMAN*** Great knife shape!, Great knife look!, Great knife price! You mailed it bro! I can't wait to order mine and I can wait to see what other variations of the knife you come out with! Kudos and congratulations, man! Keep coming out with great content. You're pretty much the one who made me realize that EDC was actually a "thing". I never really knew about EDC until I came across your videos. So even though I was already EDC'ing stuff, thank you for making me fall in love with EDC as a whole!... now my wife may feel otherwise...🤷🏽♂️😁👍🏽
Awesome vid I love the chaves but I think you held out on us with the clingman. I think with that style you could easily do a damascus blade and bone handles at a budget price and sell pretty good but I think in that configuration they will sell out everywhere.
That's a beautiful knife (clingman) and will totally pick up 2 of those! Best looking knife in the video, in my opinion. I love the modern old school look.
Yoo... Taylor that flannel is sick! Where did you score that? Link me! Also love to see a Banter fixie, hopefully they make a big banter fixie. Keep up the awesome work as usual!
Any know what the weight is like on the blue class. I own two big boy Chaves and don't carry them too much cause they be thick and heavy but they are a design I quite love.
To be honest, among the new products from Сivivi, I wanted to buy your knife. And I have long been accustomed to operating the liner with a right-handed lock, but I am left-handed and want to take the knife out of my left pocket.
I have been looking for a modern traditional that wouldn't break the bank (looking at you jackwolf you beautiful expensive bastards 😂) and IM IN LOVE I must have at least 1!
Taylor, speaking of the LT Wright, any chance your gonna drop some more of those bad boys? I almost got one off ebay but they wanted 200 and my bid of 210 did not win....
The liner lock Karbon Buckhorn doesn't feel as good as the original frame lock version. I tested it out at Blade Show West and the action and detent wasn't as good imo. I even voiced this to the Ketuo reps and they agreed.
