In this world, cannibalism is a pretty common practice since humans are the most ‘plentiful protein’, but in this case, established in the lore of the MadMax video game (which was taken directly from George Miller’s world building notes) maggots are used to clean and heal wounds, but also for maggot-farming, as another ‘easy and clean’ source of protein, so all the chopped up pieces in the cave are for harvesting maggots. Also, most of the ‘light color leather’ you see is also human… again, since humans are the most common source of these materials. The bullet farm also uses human remains a lot in order to make gunpowder.
its why the bullet farms worst one out of the three. when we finaly get to see the place in furiosa it dosnt look that bad but thats purely because where shielded from the horrors underneath their feet. go down a level and corpsestarch is probably in every corner

I think its both, she might be a cannibal and a healer at the same time, but she is also knows who is who to save and who should be their next meal. I think she also serves as a butcher at the same time, since back in ancient history, butchers can be serve as barbers and doctors at the same time.
I think she was actually trying to save Furiosa. If she wanted to kill her, chop her up and use her body parts for maggot farming then she would have already done so. When she mentioned that she can make it better I believe she was referring to using the maggots to clean up her wounds from infection. This would have been a great opportunity for furiosa to sit down and talk with her and get a little more background and history of why she does what she does and also about the wretched.
Maggots were used in WW! to treat wounds in exactly the same way. Due to lack of anything to use to clean wounds and injured cases maggots were applied to the wound and bandaged up.
Maggots and leeches are still used today. Maggots we know. Leeches can be used to reattach things like fingers by sucking blood in and helping it flow again.
Yep they lab grow them now. Have done for some time. My Father before he passed ironically had specially made padded cuffs or boots where the maggots where housed to takeaway the necrotic flesh. To be clear he was sedentary the last few years of his life.

Max didn’t bring her to the Corpse Minder, I’m sure he left her on the outskirts of the Citadel, and the Wretched just dragged her down there. Since he seems largely unfamiliar with the Citadel in Fury Road, and he would probably want to steer clear of it’s guardians for obvious reasons, like being taken as a blood bag, robbed of his Interceptor and supplies, etc.
I don’t think she’s a cannibal and if she was a healer by trade then Immortan would probably have her taken to the citadel to serve him since he’s open to recruiting a medic from Dementus. I think when people die in the citadel she takes their bodies to her cave and then uses the maggots that come to eat them as a food source for the citadel. In the first encounter she was likely trying to get furiosa out of the battlefield above and in the second she was probably adding furiosa to the corpse pile because it’s unlikely anyone she encountered with wounds like furiosa had any chance of surviving so she just assumed she’d die soon and started the process. Tbh if you eat things that are exclusively fed on human flesh then that might make you a cannibal with extra steps but idk Australia is wild.
He didn’t recognize her, due to her being younger and having longer hair, I’m more concerned about Max being familiar with the Citadel, since he doesn’t seem to recognize it when he first sees it in Fury Road.
Well mad max is a legend figure history, so in most films are like different real people that become the strange road warrior mad max. That's why mad max is a cop that saw the end of the world but at the same time is always a thirty something dude and not a as old as importan Joe for example
It should be noted that we don't actually know whether or not Max brought Furiosa to the Corpse Minder or if the Corpse Minder found Furiosa. We know that Max watches Furiosa fall but we don't see his reaction - does he turn to jump into his car to rescue her or does he simply shrug his shoulders and go back to eating? I think his choice is left purposefully ambiguous.
How is it max takes a young teen Furiosa to Corpse Minder, then she is a full grown adult hours later, IF we are to believe Max's cameo is the opening scene to FuryRoad? Oh wait, Max had beard and long hair growth in the opening scene. Wait...Max and Furiosa are about same age in FURY ROAD...his story doesn't even start yet at this point in FURIOSA.
His cameo takes place years at least before Fury Road and it's not meant to be the opening. It's not obvious because of how little screentime the Interceptor gets in FR to compare it to (outside of promotional images), but you can see it's significantly less beat-up and worn-down as it appears in FR's opening. The paint is faded, but not peeling and rusted. It's tires are still intact. It still has the front air dam (the boxy thing below the headlights that is absent in The Road Warrior and Fury Road).
Maggots are still used. Shure u dont meat this type of medical treatment in your local hospital. But for instance here in Ukraine in trenches it's common practice. Due too lack of medicine.

I agree with homeboy maybe it’s the voice or the words used but I’ve been noticing this same thing with a lot of other vids as well AI is taking over that’s the main factor of it, one day it’s fixing words the next days or generation is gonna be using it 100%
