You've probably seen a back probe kit, or may even own one. If so, you SHOULD know the proper way to use these kits! If you've never seen or used these style of probes before, then this video will help you understand the "why" and "how" of properly using a sharp needle for electrical diagnostics!!
Harbor Freight has a lot of Electrical tools, but I wouldn't typically endorse any of them with any sort of confidence. However, this type of a tool is mechanically simple and there ARE instances where you would NEED to use them, but ONLY as a last resort!
