What do you mean you "dont care what the media says"? Do you think they're lying...? I mean totally, watch the show if you want, I don't see why that's a problem as long as you recognize that Bill was a terrible person. That doesn't mean his character was bad too. And it's not like he's getting any money from it anymore, so you're not contributing to him financially by watching it..
You know this man, this show, and this family was absolutely what we needed and no matter what is said Mr. Cosby and Mrs. Rashad will always be the most influential family in the history of black television. Thank you for your years of hard work and dedication and a forever congratulations on what you guys taught us and the success of the show. God bless you and amen 🙏🏾
Eddy Madison you silly jk but for real family matters is far better family matters talked about serious issues!!! Gun violence racism so i dont understand why no one mentions family matters!!!
This makes me cry because it brings me back to when I was 5-10yrs old. Me and the family sat in front of TV every Thursday to watch the Cosby show. Good times...
@@angeljohnson6665 I disagree that it was realer.... but that's about perspective. Cosby was the epitome of family entertainment and in terms of impact... it is credited for saving NBC. The actors on Good Times constantly clashed with the writers because they felt the show lacked authenticity.
We watched the entire series during COVID with our three children. We all loved it because it is so relatable to children and adults alike. Being in a family and living together is really hilarious.
No matter your skin color, nationality, age or where you live everyone can relate to it on SOME level. That’s a very difficult thing for a TV show to achieve, The Cosby Show was one of the very few that’s succeeded. Defined an entire generation as far as I’m concerned!
I wanna say on behalf of my African American entertainment family I’m a huge super ultimate fan of the show I have actual DVD of it I wanna said about the show I think they very most cultural and life and they very regions and colourful people they are very funny and hilarious they are my favourite part of show is when bill had a addiction to junk food like from candy and pop to chips to Hoggies sandwiches and BBQ foods to and to the good stuff like cheese and crackers and all stuff to deep fried foods and chicken and potatoes to greasy foods like hotdogs to burgers also to I think about the show is is very inspiring to all us for us for our younger hip generation we still Got Getty jiggy with it and we are still fly and fresh and hip and happening and we get down our bad selves because of time of the 80’s they were very stylish that my favourite character in show is Theo for him he is a other version of will smith he was lots of swagger and he is very hip and fresh and I love about him he has a Michael Jackson ‘s Billie Jean poster on his closet door my favourite episode was they went to his concert and when Alvin came back he had the Billie Jean glove and his bad album tee shirt and his CD and very the hat and everything I let everybody know that in the comments below I was born in time when the show was aired in 1987 when I was 1 mouth old that time when went to New York City live at Madison square garden that time my story goes back in time when Michael had went to Japan for his bad tour when he started to build his neverland home in that time when he released his music video of the way you make me feel video after November 9th I was born on the 24 of November of 1987 and I’m 35 years old with Down syndrome and I live in Whitby Ontario Canada is in Durham region area outside of Toronto Ontario Canada and I still remember when bill had broken the grandfather clock I was laughing so hard when he made the secret to Alvin’s kids when he said hickory hickory doc who don’t know who broke the clock I was laughing so hard when he came up with that I never forget because the show had made all us laughing so hard and he brought so much of light in the room there’s whole lots love in it when see them together they brought laughter and hope also joy and peace and love and they show the world how we can give back to our community’s and to the homeless people out there and care for one and other the show has whole lot of heart into it and they shown us how they live and what they are like and how to live like them be and been part of there community to teach us how to what is like in the real world and even to how grow for me I grew up with show they amazing cast and guess stars like from Adam standler to Vanessa Williams and Stevie wonder to BB king to Naomi Campbell and Tatyana Ali and Daphne Reid up to raven symone to and many more you can think of who had been on the show I never forget it for them they were inspired by him and how he become I remember bill on Saturday night live he was really good on the show lot he had so many different characters on the show it was really funny when he is doing his thing on the show and I let everybody know that now bill Cosby is now free from prison now he back at his house now those things he did is wrong we know he was innocent but the police department said other his statements he is legally free from those crimes he those when he was a teenager and when young in high school never since it had came up to him and hunts rest his life it made decision with god they said if he wanted better person and he did he got his wish he is a free man and he can live forever through the hearts his fans
@@SEBKAL this was such a good clean family show without any drama. Now a days you can’t turn on the tv without some kind of filth. Even in those teenage shows.
Am I the only one that cried, the cosby show was my life, omg so sad that its done but all we can do is keep the memories that we took with us of this truly magnificent show.
nothing anyone in this cast could do or say could make me not love this show. I wish so badly I grew up in the 80s/90s because of this show. Such a beautiful cast.
That’s sweet I heard that white people loved the show too I had a Spanish friend who instead of liking this show He hated it because he said it was unrealistic and blk people didn’t live like that especially in the 80’s He like married with children and Roseanne U wanted to live like the Cosby’s and my old friend wanted to wallow in anarchy and mayhem I guess As a kid I wanted to b like the Cosby’s too I wanted to have a daughter with hair like rudy Wanted to b a og/gyn and have a brownstone And I already thought and to this day I think my mom is the exact replica of Claire Her calm no nonsense demeanor and her exact face and poise
I been watching this show every since I was little. Now Im an adult and Im still watching it. Its still funny and the values and morals is rock solid. God if only there were shows like this today.
There is no way that shows like the Cosby Show will EVER come back. The values, morals and life lessons that were portrayed will always give a profound impact to our generation that watched it religiously despite, what MSM and people around the world view at Bill Cosby, The Cosby Show is my favorite.
I don't care about Mr. Bill Cosby sex scandal. I really enjoyed watching " The Cosby Show" this show was apart of my childhood. I still watch it now. This show defy all the negative stereotypes about african american families. It's showed America that african americans are to family oriented, college educated, and loving each other. Thanks!! Mr. Cosby for producing a show of exellence for us African Americans.
I want to thank everyone who made this tribute possible of the bill Cosby show especially the Huxtables. No matter what his personal life was about, he was a genius in his field of entertainment. Mr. Cosby brought the black American family from the slums of Harlem to 5th Ave., New York in a very quiet and smooth way. He told the truth on camera that we do have doctors and lawyers in other famous professional people in fields of Industries other than maids, street sweepers , butlers, factory workers or ditch diggers. We are not proud of him because of his personal life but we are proud of his Achievements in acting producing and his contributions to the arts and sciences, education. This,
@Thomas Cook, Remember the RAPIST, OF BLACK WOMEN ON THE PLANTATIONS, LYNCHINGS MURDERS AND SELLING OF MOTHERS AND FATHERS WITHOUT THEIR CHILDREN BY Presidents and the like!!!!!!!! How about #45.
Billie Wilson Of course there are black lawyers and doctors! There is no difference in abilities. All the black communities have to do is get the education offered them. There should be MORE
kk doc : Thanks for those pearls of wisdom, I live in town where if a child goes to school K, through 12 got great to fair grades, they will pay for Kids to attend college for 4 Years. Not Half the black kids go !🤦🏽♀️🤷🏾♀️ not even mines sorry to say. Except my daughter who has a Masters in psychology. Who graduated 2 years earlier before help came . 😪 So there is help if they want to come up higher, but complaining seams to be easier and Not listening to the truthfulness of their people who had to do it hard way. Thanks again 🙋🏽
When I'm having a "I can't handle being a parent" moment, I always think of the day my girls, after watching a Cosby Show marathon both said to me "Mommy you're a Cuban version of Claire Huxtable. Especially when your mad". That totally made my day since I always Loved and Admired her.
This is the truth, mom made you from birth, but I know she won't kill you; some did, back in the days. Now they're either in jail or dead from ol' age or time.
The show was genius. It was an appointment in my house every Friday evening when it first launched in the UK, then it moved to Sunday evenings. It was - and still is - a "feel good" show and an institution that changed television family viewing. Made you proud to be black, made you feel inclusive and made you believe anything is possible. Regardless of Mr Cosby's behaviour, Healthcliffe Huxtable was a wholesome, kind father with balanced views. Will cherish this show for years to come.
Oh when Denise and her friends went to see The Fray and got their tickets stolen from them,it showed the vunerability ofthe children and their naiveness .
There was no other show like The Cosby show I respect every actor on that show and I respect Bill Cosby to the highest no matter what no other person says about him or any court I respect him to the highest
No nominations....that was deep because phylicia Rashad is such a prolific actress. She was eloquent in her acting as Mrs.Huxtable. despite all cosby news now i still love this show.
I loved her, and she is my favorite actress. She deserved an actress award! I grew up watching her on this show. She inspired me to go back to college and get my bachelor's degree, because she played the role of an attorney. She is so beautiful, intelligent, & elegant.
"After ALL the money we spent sending you to Princeton! Sondra, you owe us 79 thousand, 648 dollars and 22 cents! And I want my money NOW!!!!!!!!!!" LMAO!!!! #EPIC
Bill Cosby, he has been through enough, the loss of his son and now his daughter. I respect the man behind the comedy and the comedy behind the man. He is a great comedian. He is a man that I can admire a lot. He proved in America that there are still two parent black households.
@Angel Johnson maybe people want to go home and not have to think about all of those terrible things. So what if the show is light hearted. Doesnt make it worse than a show that deals with those things. Your comment is asinine.
@Angel Johnson well seeing as how they took place in totally different types of neighborhoods I would imagine they wouldn't talk about the same things.
I didn’t grow up in the 80s but when it was on reruns in the 2000s I was very interested in this show and I was hooked! I believe the first episode I watched was when Vanessa got drunk !!! 😂😂😂😂
It’s 2022 and I’m still watching the Cosby Show. Just like I still watch Andy Griffith and Little House on the Prairie. I miss the days when wholesome entertainment existed. I can’t stand watching most modern shows for more than a few minutes... especially knowing the corrupt forces behind them. Even in spite of the fact Cosby did terrible things and Michael Landon was always drunk on set and Griffith had his issues, I still love their shows because when I watch them I’m not watching the actors but the wholesome, upstanding characters they’re portraying.
I have learned that Andy Griffith got his start under a left/communist film guy named Elia Kazan in the 30's. The same guy who directed "East of Eden" with James Dean. I thought something was funny there when he pushed obamacare.
The Cosby Show touched so many people in so many ways and all of it was positive, loving, caring, sharing, understanding and much more. There is no family show from the past, present or possibly the future that will match the Cosby Show. The Cosby Show saved NBC and made them a lot of money. The cast as well as the behind the camera people should have won numerous awards
Me too. I grew up watching Fat Albert and the Cosby show, and my parents had no problem with us kids watching his clean and funny comedy acts. If you notice, there are no good values like that on TV anymore, (and I don't buy that trash anymore). That man propagated good values in all of our homes for a decade,---and that is why he was attacked. In the minds of evil communism destroying our good civil values, Cosby was "Too Good", and that is what was destroyed in the minds of people younger than us who did not see and admire his shows. That is why I can't find complete shows on YT. It was pure evil, what was done to him IMO, and the GOOD is still standing today. I would love to interview that great man. Doug in Michigan.
Love that every episode had vital lessons and meaning. To recreate another Great show such as 'The Cosby's' and astounding characters 'The Huxtable's' is very rare. The tribute to Phylicia Rashad was phenomenal.
@@bahma810 Both comedy. One Wildean-witty, the other with a lead actor who slurred and disfigured by gross sentimentality. Btw do you MEAN "genre" or class, as in 'FT not nearly as good"? If the latter, I beg to differ.
gary morgan Genre meaning one is satire/slapstick. The other is sitcom., family orientated. FT is 100% comedy whereas the other is a potpourri of humour, warmth (yes, some of us like it) and Life’s lessons.
Cosby is human and I'm sure if we dug into every public figure they've all done things they wouldn't want to be public. I chose to remember only the good things Cosby has done and all of that positivity he brought to my life.
THIS IS A CLASSIC RIGHT HERE........ WHO COULD NEVER GET ENOUGH OF THEM I MISS THEM BEING ON TELEVISION ESPECIALLY THE EPISODE OF THE GOLDEN GARTRELL SHIRT WITH THEO AND WHEN HIS DAD embarrassed in HIM IN FRONT OF HIS COMPANY
There'll never be another show like it! A true gem which is timelessly funny and educational touching both adults and young people of all ages! I could watch it all day long and still laugh at the jokes. If I had a family I'd certainly try my very best to model it on the Huxtables. This is a show which taught me lessons about life, how to deal with young people and how to regard the older generation. Thank you Bill Cosby for sharing your talent with the world and gifting us with such an ageless creation! Thank you sir!
I am your father, I brought you into this world and I will take you out. Cosby: son I love you Son: I know dad Cosby: and maybe, your mother loves you 😂😂
30 years ago, I liked the show a lot. I was in my 20s and early 30s during it's run. Now that I'm in my 50s, I love this show. It's amazing how true to life this show is. I'm living a lot of these episodes for real. Grown kids coming back home to live AND grown kids bringing THEIR kids back home to live. WOW. Didn't pay attention to that part the first time.
What a wonderful family TV show. A true favorite of mine. The world needs more of this show today!!! I think one of the things that made this show what it was, was the fact that there was never any mention of race.
Back in India in the 80’s we unfortunately didnt have this show on tv ....but I stumbled on to video tapes of this show at a cousins place ....and i was hooked . What a journey it was . I was so impressed with the way they interacted with the children , how they explained things to them , encouraged them to portray their thoughts , so very different from the way we in india were brought up , that i promised myself then ( i was just a teen then ) , that this was how i would parent my children ....and i hope i did so .
Although being part of the production of that Monumental show seemed it could be reward enough Phylicia Rashad SURELY deserved so much more acknowledgement for her efforts! to the I say BRAVO ! belissimo! ENCORE...
Derek Gibson such a great show...what an honor you must have felt as you contributed as part of the production...ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS AND IT WILL ALWAYS BE A PART OF WHAT HAS IMPACTED MY LIFE❤❤❤❤ THANK YOU
Just finished watching seasons 1 through 8 on Amazon prime video. And when you get to the very last episode of the Cosby show, i promise you’ll be in your feelings and feel like crying. I love this show.♥️
I've always loved that show. Started watching it when I was a kid and now watching it with the same enthusiasm and smile on my face, enjoying every second of it. Love and respect for the Huxtables!
Nothing will ever compare, i adore this show that showed so much diversity to so many. What involved parents looked like, generational love and most of all, what it looks like to actually care about people in your life. Thank you to all the cast!!
I loved this show, I had a wonderful dad, but still wished my dad was like Bill Cosby, black or white he broke all barriers, everyone loved him, I'm white and I adored him, I know what's going on now but when I watch the reruns I still have that adoration for him and Phylicia, what a wonderful show and cast!
Every second of this amazing program will always have a profound impact in shaping me into the woman I am today. Dr. Cosby I thank you and will always believe in you for the rest of my life. Thank you for taking the time to share with us. Love you and may God keep you rooted in an abundance of his Grace and Mercy.
We need more shows like this. Everything has gotten so corrupted on tv, we are over saturated with sex, drugs, gender confusion shows. Why not portray the decent normal, fun, loving, responsible parents raising their children again. Zero agenda pushing.
You are Exactly right! all the sitcom now is like watching soft porn?? I was Watching The Oval the other night and they had the Son while being interviewed by his therapist in his room,, I can't even repeat what he was doing.. How can his parents okay a scene like that??
