The do add up Freddie, but happy with it all the same. If I was only going to keep for a couple years maybe wouldn’t spend as much but it’s a keeper so want the best I can get. 👍 thanks for tuning in, after all all the inspiration came from yours so thank you 🙏
And you should ditch the cat for an X pipe. Absolutely transforms the performance. I rode 2 demonstrators and was disappointed. Rode a friend's, who was selling his with cat removed, and it was a totally different bike.
I’ve got the same bike with the two tone tank and agree most Triumph parts are extortionate. I have mixed and matched with Triumph parts and aftermarket, and as you are aware there are many quality companies out there, Motone etc. I purchased a center stand from tech bike parts for roughly half the cost of the Triumph item. It’s a quality item with great reviews and after all you don’t even see it! Regards
I am going to show this video to my wife so she can see that I’m not the only one who has spent $3000+ USD on motorcycle accessories! Enjoyed your video as I too am in love with the T120!
i brought a 2016 silver and red T120 last year mainly because the colour and chrome appeals to me it did come with led indicators a fender extender rad guard over the top full service history , that year includes heated grips which today was a blessing , center stand and grab rail .The only bits i added were chrome acg and clutch badges along with amal tip covers , down the road i will add an X pipe dna air filter and booster plug as with you i will be keeping this bike i love it .
Nice vid, thanks. For that very reason I just decided to buy a 2 year old T120 with the majority of those accessories already on, prob for about 4K less than a new one (plus the trinkets we convince ourselves we need)! I probably spent about 5k easily on accessories for my GSA.. 😢 mad. You’ll need to think about changing your helmet too to match the T120 Black… 😅
It’s worth shopping around.I’ve got some bargains from eBay rather than World of Triumph who charge silly prices.I got brand new levers from eBay for £40.They were £175 from World of Triumph.
Hi Colin, Yes i looked at all T120’s really, thought i would go for the matt colour but on seeing in flesh next to the Jet black gloss colour i liked this one more. Great bikes and looking forward to coming back to the IOM, will only be for practice week this year as want to explore the island more and roads open a bit longer 🤣👍
Your will end up adding the Heated Grips and a Short Classic screen for those longer trips. I’ve just fitted Cruise Control to my T100 and will probably get the Triumph Comfort Seat next month.
🤣🤣 not the grips as use battery RST paragon gloves. A lot better than heated grips. Screen think it spoils the looks and doesn’t work as I am 6’2, fly catcher maybe 🤔 love CC on longer trips 👍
Having bought the Speed Triple 1200RR and Thruxton RS Ton Up I have spent a small fortune on accessories! The Street Triple RS Moto2 accessories are up to close to 3000USD. But we love them!
I'm sure the centre stand and a couple of other bits and bobs used to be standard on the T120? It's a shame they removed them so that they could fleece their customers out of more cash.
Wow! Don't we all know how much triumph bikes can cost us. I bought the bar ends like u, I paid 188.00us. Now the brake reservoir u bought, I bought the same style. Did u look at the aftermarkets ? Mine was 36.00 us but.... the aftermarkets ranged from 9 .00 us to 25.00us. when I read the specifics, the aftermarket said made with exactly the same material. But, like you, i bit and bought the supposed factory model. I paid 36, but saw them as high as 60.00us. crazy. What we won't do to have our precious triumphs looking fine. Oh, I did buy a center stand for 40.00us on Amazon. Though I haven't placed it yet. I couldn't afford a new bike never have. I've had 6 in my life, and all were used. The triumph is a 2005, but garage kept and mint for 3 thou,us . No oil leaks, no dents or dings. I did have to buy a brake lever, the girl said she was moving it and it got caught in the door jamb and the weight and position snapped it off. She obviously had it built to her specs or her husband did all these things. Because she had a seat cowl, chrome headlight bucket, headlight visor, Union Jack sump guard, and a Union Jack tank protector on it. Also, the rear fender looks like a Thruxton fender. Not tail tidy short, but shorter than the others I've seen. Anyway you are so, so right. You can easily spend 15, 17 grand on an 11 thousand dollar motorcycle. Obviously you like the all black version. I think the black subdues the lines of the bike. But if that's what you want, all good. Hope you do another vid when it's all done. Ride safe 👍
Hi Peter, great to hear about your bikes, time will tell on the accessories but I think they will be decent quality and so happy with the bike. Just need some warmer weather, dry roads 😂 ride safe cheers Nick
@@MOTOUK1 nick spoke to you that I’ve ordered the action three and the Instamic pro plus which back order couldn’t see the wind fluff to reduce wind noise ? Where did you get yours please ?
@@Themotograndpa Hi 👋 So i made myself using generic dead cat from amazon, cut to shape to cover the top mics on the instamic and attached with Sugru mouldable rubber as it can be removed without damaging unit at any time if desired. Just make sure to not stick over the the 4 mic holes at top. You could try without this though as i did it anyway but think the mic will perform same on -22db setting
@@Themotograndpa No i don’t think it will pick up, i put on as on my adventure helmet only place i could mount was right in front of my mouth so did not want to capture me breathing 🤣 I have now managed to mount next to cheek pad so should be all ok. See how you get on
Hi to all. I have same colour and year. Love this bike. Equipped already in heated grips, comfort seat , center stand and grab rail, Bar end mirrors ( OEM ) as well as brake/clutch levers from Triumph too. And I think this was the biggest surprise for me. These levers are perfectly shaped and gives you more precise feeling of brakes ( seems like I would have upgraded brakes not only levers ). Try bevanmotorcycles on ebay. Very competitive price. I highly recommend . All the best 🖐
It's annoying that most bikes come without centre stands I put one on my vstrom Suzuki £240 bought an after market one £105 same on my current multistrada also bought original panniers and rack for it that was just over a grand. It's probably better to buy a one year old bike with most of the bits on you want.
It is Terry, agree if you can find a bike with all the bits. Like I mentioned in video it’s actually worth selling all your accessories separate as dealers don’t give you more when selling these days.
Gotta be honest here Nick I think that is a blatant rip of by Triumph having a center stand as an extra , it's not like the bikes are cheap to start with. . As a mater of principle I would not go to a manufacturer's to buy any extras since they seem to all be at rip off prices, this never used to be the case they seem to have got themselves a gravy train here with KTM being amongst the worst .These may be nice products but jeez they certainly stiff you for them . Great Cafe I will have to get in there sometime the bike looks fabulous and like your MT is and will be a credit to you and the way you look after your bikes but oooh I have to say a new bike wet salt ridden roads " cringe'' but I know you'll be cleaning it pretty damned quick after .😉👌👍
I hear you pal, its not just triumph not adding centre stands, a lot of other manufacturers don’t also. TBH from what i have seen, the triumph accessories are well made and if i was not going to keep the bike long term or did not have the extra cash i would opt for cheaper alternatives. 🤣 yes i know wet salty roads but you don’t see the 2 hrs i clean bike after and dry and coat with a spray of XCP Rust Block Clear Coat, my new go to in between washes. Then the bike goes into a Carcoon where it takes all the moisture out of the air and stores it nicely. I do look after them but also think bikes should be ridden, or ill go mad 😁
It needs to be noted that accessories don’t add a jot to residual value at trade in and only little if anything at resale……..better to find a bike that gives everything out of the box and teach the manufacturers a lesson 👍🏻
Hi 👋 I have given some thought and still thinking what to do yes. Option 1) change the wheels Option 2) use a tyre sealing kit for spokes, people I have spoken to say they work fine. This may be the route I will eventually take.
Nice bike which it should be for that amount of money, if when choosing you had realised it was going to be £13700 to your spec would you have still bought it or choose something cheaper !!!
Motorcycle genuine accessories are ridiculously overpriced.. I was staggered by the £2k tot up 😳 crazy when you consider you could almost get 3 interceptor 650s for one specced up bonnie! Beautiful bike 🏍 👌 😍 Thanks for sharing.. I must try the eggs benedict! 😉
@@MOTOUK1 well vehicles in the Netherlands are heavily taxed anyway and to my recollection Triumphs have always come with a premium price here as well so bad combination 🥹
Nice to have a few extras Blimey, as long as you are happy and you keep your bike long enough why not !! And as you say sell the parts on EBay when you’re all done ✅ Look forward to seeing those panniers Lot of money those centre stands I know I bought one for my Bike last year…. Beautiful machine
