I love how you take your time and show all of the “details” in the surroundings, rather than just rushing into the buildings! It allows us to feel so much more “in the moment” with you! Thank you! I’m so happy to see less pain in your eyes now. So glad you’re feeling better! And speaking of your eyes…those sunglasses were made for your beautiful face! Hugs to you and David 🤗😁🥰

Oh Marisa and David - this is just gorgeous! Thank you for the tour of the villages. So lovely to see the countryside and village lanes as well when you were out walking Maisie, Stanley and Rafe. I look forward to part 2. Enjoy!
You and David are living your best life. Thank you for this lovely video today. You have captured some delightful scenes from the Cotswolds and transported me there on this dull rainy Canada Day. love seeing those endless hedgerows and drystone walls. How have they stood up so well for centuries? Thank you for showing us such beauty and tranquility.
You’re so welcome! We had to come for personal reasons, so decided to spend some time petsitting and discovering new places! It was such a great decision! We are so in love with these ancient & gentle hills, architecture, nature and feel of the place! We are so relaxed ☺️ thank you so much for joining us! ♥️🥰🏴🤗🌹
I so enjoy all your vlogs especially your home in Tuscany. You Marissa & David are a lovely couple. This vlog was a wonderful, you have shown us the beautiful Cotswolds and have made it much more interesting than local RU-vidrs do. Congratulations & thank you. 🤗😍
Oh Judy that’s so very kind of you to say and we are both very grateful. We try to share things that perhaps others might not think of sharing & we are happy that you enjoy it so much. Thank you so much for your kind support 🥰♥️🤗🌹💋
I spent 12 happy years living in the Cotswolds including Stratford upon Avon which it borders. Glorious out of the main tourist season, countless fabulous places to see, eat and drink in. Was also home to the National Pudding Club to which I was a regular visitor 🙄😋🤣. Enjoy. ❤️❤️
What a wonderful place to live Phil and we’ve so fortunate so far, avoiding any mass tourism. It has been delightful everywhere. Puddings you say? Now that sounds like an interesting club 😅🍮🥧🧁♥️🥰
Hi Marisa and David, There are so many pretty vilages in the Cotswolds. You have to be lucky with the weather as it's usually cloudy and raining. Enjoy, and thanks for sharing. Sending hugs 😊❤❤
Yes we feel very lucky as so far we’ve had no rain and the sun always peeks through! We are just loving it! Thank you so much for joining us Janet! Big hugs to you too! 🥰♥️🤗

Lovely tp see you're over here.David is right about the Dock leaf, many a time when a child i was stung by nettles and my Dad would quickly find a Dock leaf.Im not sure if it actually worked, lol, but that was the remedy..Ive walked exactly where you walked in Bibury, have holidayed in the Cotswolds a few times, its beautiful.Ive recently moved up to York from my home in London, and i think you would love to see this place, the history is wonderful, including the huge Minster, which is quite amazing...Thank you for a wonderful video.xx
Oh Vicki, thank you so much for your lovely comments and for assuring David that he was correct. We unfortunately won’t make it as far as York this time but we are glad of the information and will add it to our list for next time! We are Housesitting further south this stay. I didn’t realise you lived in the UK so that’s lovely know! Thank you so much for your continued support… we are so grateful! Best wishes 🥰♥️🤗🌹💋
🍃Love the Cotswolds! Nice to see it again with you. Do you know any of the history of Arlington Cottages? Like when were they built and who lived in them? What a great trip!🥀🍃
Hello Andrea! Thank you so much for joining us! Here’s a little history for you… Arlington Row at Arlington in the parish of Bibury, Gloucestershire, England was built in the late 14th century as a wool store and converted into weavers' houses in the late 17th century. It is a Grade I listed building, owned by the National Trust. We are having the best time and loving the Housesitting. Lots more to share! ♥️🏴🥰🌳🌞🌹
David says he originally had a Chester accent but as he moved when young, he picked up a mixed accent with time! Now he even has a little bit of an Australian accent (he thinks- I can’t hear it! lol 😂) Consequently it would have been hard for you to guess I’m sure! 🥰🤗
@talesfromtuscany That makes sense. I was sure he was English at first then was less sure later with the Australian bits. He definitely has a combination of places in there, but the English sneaks through 😀
Yes Doc weed is an Antidote for Nettle sting. Also Marisa an English Lavender should grow in Tuscany .I grew English Lavender it’s is hardier than the French Lavender with a stronger Fragrance too!
Perfect! Thank you so much Wendy! David will be glad that his memories are correct! I also am happy to hear that I can try the Hidcote variety back in Tuscany. Fingers crossed! 🤞 I love them so much 🥰🌳♥️🐝🌹🏴
Thank you so much ☺️ we believe that most of the houses in Arlington Row are not lived in permanently and are owned by the NATIONAL TRUST, however you can holiday rent a cottage, if you wish and people do chose to live in some of them. I suppose it’s a personal choice to stay there but I personally wouldn’t.
