O cerrado não era usado antigamente por ter um solo ruim hoje é o celeiro do Brasil onde se produz 2 safras por ano, isso é tecnologia da Embrapa que é referência mundial em agricultura, inclusive tropicalisou todas as culturas temperadas e hoje não só a soja, mas frutas diversas e inclusive o trigo são cultivados em áreas de clima muito quente, aliás no Quentíssimo Piauí já se produz trigo com boa produtividade! A questão de solo não é empecilho para a agricultura brasileira que usa das mais avançadas tecnologias de preparo e produção!

A agricultura não sobreviveria, pois diminuiria drasticamente as chuvas. Olhe a linha do trópico que o Brasil está no mundo, na África e na Austrália é deserto e aqui não pois temos os rios "flutuantes" que são da umidade da Amazônia indo em direção as cordilheiras dos Andes e como não consegue passar aquela barreira então volta em formato de precipitação de chuva.
