The Couple That Can't Stay Together | Rasputin & The Bride | Just Dance Lore Week 

I feel like Rasputin arrived at the wedding in his old outfit, saw the scene and found no-one there. Once he understood what happened, he purposefully went to get a makeover as he's heartbroken and then goes back to the venue to perform 'I Am My Own Muse'. Something about the idea of Rasputin running around finding somewhere to get the makeover just for this song is funny to me.

Rasputin carpooled with a dozen Lady Gaga couches. Of course he got a makeover!

"This is not the first time she's been engaged" SHE'S CALLED "THE BRIDE" 😭

Maybe after getting rejected by The Bride in "Last Friday Night"; the "Never Gonna Give You Up" coach went all supervillian and kidnapped Rasputin or at least delayed him enough to have him late for the wedding. Or Clementine broke them up😆

Yeah, at this point, the bride really does need an actual name

The team are really making this couple the Soap Opera part of Just Dance.

To complement this lore week video, I heard a theory a while ago that the reason why Rasputin got late to the wedding was because he was abducted by Night Swan and transformed into one of her minions, according to the game the songs were release and with the fact that the Last Friday Night map is a non-stop party that connects every danceverse and you can come and go, since during the map Rasputin and Bride have different interactions throughout the song in which they enter and leave the scene. And right after the first battle between the Just Dancers and Night Swan, he found a way out of Night Swan’s headquarters. After this video, I don’t know if that could work, but I hope we get some answers in 2025.

I do love the idea of a lore prequel season.

personally i explain rasputin's outfit change with my theories about flow. i think when coaches costume change/change forms in maps, it's due to the coach (often unconsciously) tapping into the dance energy around them. we see rasputin arriving at the venue in his normal outfit in sbp, then i think he had a breakdown when he saw what happened, and his emotions tappeded into the dance energy of the area, transforming his clothes into what we see in i am my own muse (and i argue that this energy is what caused the change in his pictures as well)

Fun fact: The background for Hot N Cold is available as Lvl 1 reward on Season 2: Y2K, and the description is ‘For shattered hearts’, which is a perfect proof for The Bride’s 2 break-up

Avery, girl... I hate to break it to you, but the way I see it, I don't think there's a happy ending in the horizon for these two. It seems to me that the Bride is way too far past the point of no return to consider forgiving Rasputin for missing the wedding, and one of the most notorious things about the historical Grigori Rasputin is the over-the-top way he died... I believe this story will end with either the Bride killing Rasputin or both of them dying together while the wedding venue goes up in flames around them. Also, on your desire for a lore/backstory season, after seeing the trailer for the Y2K season and one of the emotes that will be available as a reward, I think that may be coming sooner than expected... 😉

I think the unexpected event in the story is the Night Swan attack in Just Dance 2023 Edition, maybe he got captured on the way to the wedding and got saved in Majesty, since SbP and Majesty happens at a sunset background so they probably happen at the same time.

Maybe after rasputin broke the lady gaga coaches out they drove him to the venue and gave him a make over on the way there 🤣 there is that alternate where they are on the back of a moving car so 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

I really am super intrugued by the Just Dance lore, eventhough I never knew something like this existed and I played (danced) Just Dance like probably 10 years ago.. i miss it😅 well done on becoming a Coach too, what an honor❤

So after seeing the Payphone preview, I’ve got The Hangover vibes. It’s become a popular wedding trope. Legit, if you’ve ever watched the show 9-1-1, they just did a Hangover situation with two of their characters. Rasputin’s bros threw him a rager of a bachelor party, and he woke up in some other danceverse/map with no clue where he was or how to get back. As for the costume change in Muse, I just kind of looked at that as a representation of his mental state at the time. Not really anything deeper to it other than he was torn up over what happened. I feel like costume changes in this game are just something that the coaches/dancers can manifest at will based on what’s happening around them or to them.

Here's my idea/timeline: It starts with Hot and Cold then Rasputin and after is the dance with the body moving coach. After is Last Friday Night and then Sugar. Then its Telephone and he arrives at then wedding venue after Sweet But Psycho and then his song. Finally(and this is a long shot) Ymca as he appears in a disguise looking thing so he may be hiding as people were searching about him after the wedding drama so they might have found out him breaking out the coaches in Telephone.

THIS IS SO INTERESTING! I have no idea of who could have left The Bride at the altar the first time.

Since Aurore said the map was his reaction and feelings, what if this new makeover was all in his head? The Bride, Rasputin all showed us how they felt and not necessarily how they look irl. Hell maybe the venue isn't destroyed by The Bride at all, and all the fixing Rasputin was trying to do was them mending their own relationship backstage or sth. This theory will save them from having to explain how both of them got makeovers, and if they do decide to wed, there's no need to ask other Just Dancers to help build the venue again lmaooo

As someone who is gay, the homophobia i revived was super hard to deal with I love how your talking about how people don’t have to support it they just have to be supportive of the person who is gay. And your so lucky that your family supports that your pansexual my family didn’t react well when I came out as gay there are 2 gay family members me and my aunt. We’ve both dealt with huge amounts of homophobia especially me because I’m in high school in 2024 and I received a lot of slurs and a lot of people calling me weird or just making fun of boys liking boys and you covering gay topics make me so happy because you’re one of my favorite RU-vidrs. I have a crazy theory, what if icona shards was Rasputins ex and he was in a boy band. That seems crazy but from one of the games his icon says “yea I was in a band, but we all have our pasts, right?”. Also Icona Shards was calling someone in the stained glass windows right? She might have Been trying to call him but he was busy getting ready for his wedding so she called the boy band Rasputin was in. They called him after he was done getting ready so he went to the band and got his makeover and helped icona out of jail thinking he would get back to his wedding in time but he got there right after the bride left heartbroken. My theory about the bride is that while she was getting ready for the wedding so many of her friends were gone so her and Lisa Friday got ready but while they were looking at a dress for Lisa, night swan turned her into another one of her minions. The bride saw that and ran somewhere back to the wedding venue to prepare. She left to get her hair done for the wedding and knew that she was going to get married when she got back. She came back but Rasputin wasn’t there and night swan saw that as an opportunity to corrupt the bride so she did of course. That triggered trauma she had already had experienced so night swan harnessed that trauma to turn the bride into that and to make her act that way. Sry for the really really long theory

The coach from never gonna give you up makes sense because of the song so it that could have been befor he might have left the bride at the alter

I have this dream that the main story line is sort of like the end game battle where a bunch of coaches go with Jack to get the group back and since we know the maps aren't released chronologically maybe rasputin was part of that which is why he missed the wedding. Its long shot but I really think a massive dance battle would be cool even if its unrealistic in every way lol

i think rasputin make over came after he came back to the venue, since he didn't have it at the end of sweet but psycho, i think i'm my own muse doesn't happen directly after but maybe a few days/weeks/months after, maybe depression hit him from not being able to find the bride
