It’s crazy how much I, a white woman from the UK can relate to so much of your stories of parents/ family craziness/almost straight up abuse.. lol I love listening to other people’s stories so we can all go “god they dropped the ball” together 😂 we can love them forever but still be there with gritted teeth. This is my favourite episode! I’ve listened to this episode over and over. It makes me laugh every time. Nick and Patrick need to give advice more often.

I almost bust my lung trying not to laugh at this episode. Discussing the dude with the relationship/cousin issue. 🤣 He clearly was seeking advice, but man that was rough! I hope he gets that figured out and works through his breakup. With the other issue, if she is wanting to be intimate with her guy again...I agree to the talking with him and explaining that you’re actively working on dealing with your trauma, but you still wanna be close and have sex. Or you can randomly one day play the WAP song really loud and tell him to bring himself and his d to the room if you’re tired of being subtle with him. You gotta be direct and concise with some dudes.

I'm Hmong and even I'm a little confused by that dude's question. Let me try to decipher it. Him and his cousin probably has a thing and are really close and get along very well. He probably wonders why him and his girlfriend aren't as close or get along as well as him and his cousin.......?????? 🤷‍♂️ But, here's some background info. In Hmong culture first cousins can date and marry as long as they don't share the same last name. So the child of a brother and the child of a sister can date each other. Yeah........... But I'm still not sure what the guy is asking.

Hey David, this was a great and hilarious episode. I think what Ting-Tong-Xiong was trying to say is that in the Hmong culture, dating or marrying your first cousin is ok. I know it's weird but it's an old and outdated part of our culture lol. Hopefully, that clears up the first cousin problem of Ting-Tong-Xiong lol.

There is this one video you made maybe five ish years ago or so, and at some point in the video you are talking about certain mannerisms of different Asian people I believe. Part of that skit was you farting and saying “excuse me” in a Vietnamese accent. I have since been saying excuse me exactly the same way. I cannot find your original video that has that phrase. That Hmong guy is so clueless. Comparing his girlfriend to his cousin. Probably made his girlfriend feel like he’d rather hang out with his cousin then with her. It didn’t matter that his relationship with his cousin isn’t sexual. Maybe his girlfriend felt he wasn’t happy with her, even tho they’ve been together for 6yrs. Giving up talking to your cousin and porn is not a solution to their issues. It’s almost like how parents sometimes compare their kids to other peoples kids. My mom used to say, “why can’t you be more like your cousin?” “So proper and nice.” I say “why can’t you be like Aunty?” “She’s probably a better mom.” It can hurt when people compare you to others. My mom realized she was wrong to compare me to my cousin. Learn from your mistakes and move on.
