if you love to dance this is the guy to make it happen.. we went to a dance hall 27 years ago and we didn't sit down the entire evening.. Thank you Ian for your longtime friendship..
Love ya Ian.... was a pleasure to sing with you at the Ranchmans.... still listen to all of your tunes... Nice to see you again in Kelowna..... ride on... Sherry
Great song,we played this at my daughter's wedding this summer. her and her girl cousins used to love to sing this song around a campfire when they were kids . They used to get a big kick at being able to use a swear word . Simple pleasures. Thanks
I would love to, FireStar94. I live in New Jersey about 10 miles from New York City. Ian played a small club in New York about six months or so ago and I had the chance to see him and talk to him for a few minutes backstage after the show. What a nice man! Thanks for stopping by and commenting! Bill
Glad you enjoyed it ziggty99! I agree 1,000 % that Ian Tyson is a true treasure. The fact that his voice isn't what it once was doesn't obscure the fact that the man writes some wonderful songs. I've got a few more more Ian songs up on my channel. Come on back and visit. Bill
Glad you enjoyed it, G-Man! You must be reading my mind because I was thinking of trying my hand with "Magpie" soon. Appreciate your taking the time to watch and comment! Bill
Thanks Dan! If you really want to get a feeling for what the cowboy lifestyle is all about then Ian Tyson is the man to listen to. Appreciate your stopping by, Dan'l! Bill
Like the man says, it makes you wonder who's got it right "the little coyote or me"? Thanks for stopping by and checking out the tune! Do appreciate your time! Bill
Glad you enjoyed it, Tadashi. There are a few more videos I set to Ian Tyson's music on my channel. Come back and check them out when you have the time. Thanks for your time and the kind comment. Bill
"As I get high on bottle of rye, the coyote gets drunk on the moon" That's actually pretty neat :) Who is the dumber S.O.B the little coyote or me! LOL
My son did a school report on coyotes and they are amazing creatures to survive in any condition anywhere. Actually I got more into the writing than he did. Bad Mom.
I have and I agree. Have you had a chance to hear his new album yet? The voice isn't what it used to be but the man can write songs, no doubt about it. Thanks for commenting. Appreciate your taking the time. Bill
Glad you like it, Carl. I'd been corresponding with fellow YTer Purplewhiteavia about this song. I figured instead of trying to sing it I'd just put some photos over the top of it. Thanks for watching, buddy! Bill
Hey Jim, Ian Tyson's got a lot of terrific songs. I hope to do a few of them myself and maybe do a music video of others. Thanks for stopping by my friend! Bill
There you go Yerbs1980! A song with a little something for everybody. Thanks for checking out my little homage to Ian Tyson. I've also got two more videos using Ian's music on my YT page if you have time. Bill

The song is terrific, isn't it? I just "discovered" Ian Tyson in the last year or so and I'm constantly amazed by the quality of his music. Captures the west like no one else can. Thanks much for stopping by! Bill
