" Holding on, that's what I do since I met you. And it won't be long. Would you notice if I left you? And it's fine for some 'cause you're not the one, You're not the one there... There... there... there... there... there... All night long, laid on my pillow, These things are wrong. I can't sleep here! So lovely, so lovely, so lovely. I have decided to leave you forever. I have decided to start things from here. Thunder and lightning won't change, What I'm feeling and the daffodils look lovely today, And the daffodils look lovely today, Look lovely today. Ooh, in your eyes I can see the disguise. Ooh, in your eyes I can see the dismay. Has anyone seen lightning? Has anyone looked lovely? And the daffodils look lovely today, And the daffodils look lovely today, Look lovely today... Look lovely, Na, na. Na, na na na..."
One of their most impressive songs. When I close my eyes I'm 15 again, listening to their cd's, feeling quite depressed, misunderstood and sooo grown up LOL
"the daffodils looks lovely today". My favourite song by the band. Such a shame she passed away at such a young age. Still, she probably lived more in her 46 years than many people do in 92. Good for her
Dolores, I never knew you, though I like to think that if we ever had met we'd at least be conversational. But your words and your music proved instrumental to my childhood, and now I know the world a bit darker for your loss.
Lilleypad11 they ruled the 90s and early 2000s. So gifted. So young. So creative. Love the cranberries. Goodbye Dolores. See you on the other side. We never met. But i love you.
this is the best song ever,,,its changes from a really desperate and emotive beginning....and go trought some joy and happines at the end....just amazing. lots of emotions.....a singed by dolores, you just got one of the best songs ever
my favourite song off one of the greatest albums ever written. No Need to Argue could be a Greatest Hits compilation it is so full of high quality songs. And this is the best part of it :)
@@christoforosadamantiou2836 I'm impressed of that song, really. I'm a complete noob in music, why you are saying that it's look like a classical piece?
Beautiful song, beautiful person, beautiful spirit, beautiful voice, and beautiful woman. Rest easy, the world will miss the beauty you brought to a sometimes harsh and unforgiving world.
No Need To Argue is 90's must have album and this song is just one example. Worth listening and reflecting...such genius of Dolores voice, musicality of Hogan brothers and the drummer.of the Cranberries
Perhaps the best song for me. No chorus, so pure.... so perfect in lyrics, in singing and in music... and so sensitive... Perhaps it isn't now their song I listen the more, but I think it's their best, referring to quality. I miss you Cranberries.
When she says "in your eyes I can see your disguise.. in your eyes I can see the despair", I can't help but cry... I just love it; it's so true♥... :'(
Noel and Dolores wrote some of the most thoughtful, beautiful, heart-tugging songs... I think they are up there with Buckingham -Nicks, if not above them, as two of the greatest song writers that ever existed! Excellent lyrics, music, and bands! They are definitely on my top 3 list greatest live bands as well favorite bands!!!
I love this song, one of their best in my opinion. Reminds me of an abusive relationship I was in several years ago. The ending reminds me of the day I left, the daffodils looked lovely on that day. Thank you Dolores and the rest of the Cranberries for voicing my emotions. RIP, Dolores, you are truly missed.
You know, the Cranberries were one of the last surviving major acts of the 90's and Green Day. If the Cranberries are not in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame yet, something is wrong.
Beautiful song, only learnt to appreciate it this few years when listening to the album. It just reminded that everything may seems depressing and sad initially, but it will not and you will be free once you chose to make a change on the situation. Reminded us too, the laments that we always have when we were young- the Daffodil Laments...if you still remember.
I love the cranberries here they were the best and in their prime...great performance actually this whole concert was amazing!!! songs against war the bootleg is the whole show on CD!!!!
This album is so great I can't even count how many tines I have listened to it from top to bottom, but this song is one of those that I will never skip. She is one of the most talented musicians ever. As a singer, as a vocalist, as a songwriter, as a composer. RIP Dolores
I had an experience of leaving a bad relationship.I remember fighting in the apartment and struggling to make it work.It felt sophicating.I walked out to a park and suddenly everything was fresh and I decided to start my life over. This song feel exactly like that experience. Its amazing how music is your experience and it's also the artists experience.Beautiful.. amazing song
So lovely.. I love this song I love youuuuu Dolores... Great The Cranberries... If I have to be honest I feel goosebumps in everysecond that she sings!! The best singer ever!!!! ;-)
Chaill sí a cuid accent riamh: an caoineadh agus an caoineadh ar an caoineadh. Tá a chumhacht, a bocht, a n-intinn anamach cosúil le paidir nach bhfuil críochnaithe go fóill. Tugann guth an chraicinn ard ar chnoc leis na réaltaí, "Cén fáth, cén fáth?" Is cosúil le seasamh cloiche coincréite a bhriseadh ach gan titim. Agus ina peitil bainne-bhán oscailte, titim deora ar an oíche. Do Delores agus a cafaidí. [She never lost her accent: the roar and the whisper of the daffodil lament. Its power, its softness, its soulful entreaty like a prayer not yet complete. The voice of the daffodil high upon a hill sings to the stars, "Why, o why?" Its pose is like a concrete standing stone broken but not fallen. And in its open milk-white petals, tears fall upon the night. For Delores and her daffodils.]
