LOVE this idea to use up ALL those scraps I've gotten over the past 30 YEARS of quilting! Get ready kids - I will be sending these to a Missionary in Africa AND for the kids in Haiti who are STILL suffering! GO GALS!! Makes someone smile.

I quilt, of course, sewing along. I sew in front of the t.v. as my husband likes to listen to me natter along as I go about it, and we try and catch what is on the tube. My husband has Parkinson’s, so he dozes off as well. I bought your crazy quilt templates and showed him. He was as happy about that, even more than any other. He says have you started yet? He is so happy that we (me) have this project on the ball. We talk about how old crazy quilt designs are, which I did not realize. His Mom lived into her 90’s and she had made quilts. She must have made a crazy quilt, as he is ready for us (me) to finish off my current project. Loved this video Jenny, thanks so much. x

My grandma used to make crazy quilts with all the worn out clothes and fabric scraps she had laying around and they are still well-loved. I am glad I found this tutorial - ordered the template a few weeks ago and absolutely LOVE how easy it comes together. You brought back a small joy of childhood, and in a new a modern way that I can pass on! I

Well said Marlene Carlson. Some people can be very rude. If one doesn't like the quilt or tutorials go to another chanel because more of us M.S.Q.C lovers out here that think these quilts and tutorials are wonderful. And are great followers to this site. I enjoy every tutorial and quilt on here. Keep up the fantastic work Jenny. We all love you. HAPPY QUILTING.

I made this quilt after watching your tutorial the first time, and it was so much fun to make. I didn't have the templates when I made it but do now. However, The quilt turned out really well and is very cheerful. A fun way to use up scraps that I really didn't want to throw away. I think the reason I loved making it so much is that it is a "non thinking" kind of quilt and a person can just sit and sew and sew and add all the many stripes of different colors and everything goes together. I bordered mine in green and it brought out the green in the scraps. Thanks for this neat pattern and idea, I'm loving using my quilt on these chilly winter evenings and days. Thanks again, Lillian Nelson

This is one of my fav videos. Simply because its an anyone can video. And this is essentially a very cheap make too and anti waste. So double bonus. My daughter has been making scarppy block quilts with me for 2 years for the homeless. Using my quilt craps/ clothing anything on top. A fleece blanket or wadding or curtain interlining for the wadding. And anything from curtains/sheets/duvets for backing... and some times sneaks some of my other fabrics too. For us it is the true meaning and reason for quilting and patchwork.

Thanks to this video (as well as other MSQC videos), I made my first order at your store, which includes that crazy quilt template set! I've seen the other ones, but I love that these are neon green. The color helps me to see where I'm cutting, as I have a hard time with the clear with black printing. I had actually seen a vintage crazy quilt at an antique store, and I was super fascinated, but didn't know what they were called. After some research, I found the name, and looked on YT to find a video, and yours was one of the most clear and concise tutorials.

Works very well for a theme or color quilt, but if you don't care for the extra scrapping look (like the one hanging on the wall) you can always give it a light dye bath. This will help to bring together all of the divergent color families used in a quilt and and give it a unified look without sacrificing its scrappy nature. Thanks for another great video.

What a wonderful way to use up scraps and how beautifully it all goes together. I have a bag full of leftovers from the quilts I made for my sister's three children and I think I could blend them all together to make a crazy quilt for my sister with them. The kids would be able to pick out the bits of fabric that matched their own quilt in their mother's quilt. Thank you for this great idea.

If you sew them on to the batting, and make them all the same size, you can join them and then when you add the backing, all you need to do to quilt it is to sew between the blocks. There is a tutuorial on line of quilting as you go using different blocks. I'm in the process of making a crazy patch quilt doing it this method. Just a suggestion for you.

I love your videos! I taught myself how to quilt about 12 yrs. ago, but basically just sewed strips and squares together... a reason to buy pretty fabrics ;) I didn't know how to properly do the "quilting" part or bind. I just winged it. It was definitely not perfect, nor exactly straight, but it worked & became a lot of fun. I got into quilting again last yr., but this time, there is the internet, whereas before I never used a computer (I'm not too social, so joining quilting clubs, sewing clubs, etc., was NOT for me). Through looking at pics & videos, I've learned to do puff quilts, block quilts, & with your videos, I've learned how to make a fence w/flowers, do many diff't patterned block quilts, etc. Now, if I can't figure out something, I come straight to your videos. You make it fun, your directions are easy to follow, and you have a nice voice to follow. As a "younger" sewer, I find that when I go into fabric or quilting stores, the women are often a bit snooty or don't think I'm serious because I don't know many of the terms. I just sew & have fun! I've been making pot holders for xmas, but wanted to use something other than just 4 squares for a block, so I've watched some of your videos for ideas + I can now do hexagons(fun!) Thank you so much for your time & your attention to us beginners. I don't like to ask for help, nor do I like to quilt w/others, so this is A LOT of help. Plus, you had a video w/your daughter, & I used that to learn how to "quilt" different designs onto my finished product. Thank you!!! :)

I’m trying to figure out did she use her 6inch template on what size scrap of fabric? And I’m also trying to figure out if the soldier made every centerpiece different? I want to know what size this quilt is on the wall but they probably don’t remember because the video is older.
