Chicago's own Eugene Record and The Chi-Lites. Thanks for featuring Mr. Eugene Record. The beautiful music/songs composed by him and sung by The Chi-Lites are truly classic. I'm hoping that The Chi-Lites will also be inducted into the RRHOF. "Letter To Myself" and "Toby" are my personal favorites by The Chi-lites. Mr. Eugene Record solo recordings, which I personally liked are "Mother of Love." Sidenote, my deceased cousin-in-law, played piano for this talented group. 💞🎶🎼🎵

They had two hits in the 80's. 1981 "Hot on a thing called love" and 1983 "Bottoms up" both dance songs so not what people usually expected to hear from The Chi-lites but but that was the Break Dancing / Dance club era and they were both club bangers for sure. 8:21

The Chi- Lites had so many great songs, but "Stoned Out Of My Mind" and I Want To Pay You Back (For Loving Me)" are my favorites.
