People bitching about no realistic handling and performance or nitrous flames that are too bright... if you guys want realism, I believe a quite big number of racing games have been released for you, games like Forza 4 and such. Yes this does feel arcade but GOD FUCKIN DAMN IT this reminds me of Need for Speed Underground 2 and that game was DELICIOUS. I don't care how unrealistic it was and I don't care how long the nitrous flames were, the game was fun and had tons of replayability!
Michael Alvis The original Most Wanted wasn't released in 2009. I played it like freshman year for sure, and I was 18 in 2009. I think it came out '05 or '06. Otherwise I completely agree. Carbon was alright too, I liked the Autosculpt feature.
Michael Alvis I can't say that The Crew is "innovating" with waht they're bringing cause most of it is seen and done on most MMO's (group quests, "boss" events and such). However, seeing it applied in a racing context is fucking brilliant in my book :P There is one thing I really hope and that is that there will be more than just "crew" missions. I want bigger... Big operations with maybe 10 players would be so great. Games these days lack hardcore endgame content that reward the more dedicated or as other people would say, "hardcore" players. A lot of people are leaving games like World of Warcraft because the end content keeps getting nerfed the shit out of so the casual gamers can brag too :S
This game looks incredible. Make a mode where you can have the driving more simulation feeling. I want a Forza/Gran Turismo type game but with this fantastic open world.
so excited for this game. I am in love with racing games more than any other. the graphics look so detailed and real and beautiful and the customization and multiplayer/co op abilities is impressive. so excited for this game

My god... This game, BF4, AC4, The Division, Destiny, Watchdogs, Quantum Break, Titanfall, and Infamous (just to name a few) all look mindblowingly good. Defo looking forward to the next year in gaming!!
The whole idea of the game sounds amazing, And the customization looks epic and unique. graphics look fine to me but the gameplay doesn't feel fluid. I haven't played the game yet but it does look very unique but the driving mechanics don't look really strong and promising.The damage looks pretty much last gen but yeah the game is still in development but instead of just focusing on making the biggest map ever they should probably focus mainly on what the game is about , the driving mechanics.otherwise i'm pretty much excited for this game sure getting it when it comes out.
i agree The all concept of the game looks pretty fun you can drive acrosse the country and do whatever you want Graphics look good, and the custom looks epic but since this is a drivin game, they should focus on the driving... it seems like it is really stiff and heavy but like you said, i haven't played the game also let's await and see so far, it looks like a fun game
Long have I waited for a true open world racing game where you can race on any terrain when you want to. The only game I've ever known to do that is Fuel so this game will fill that void I've been longing to fill.
I am really into MMO's and i cant wait for this one, because I love cars, and I am poor.. And In this game I can make any car however I want, and also The Division Looks amazing. I like that people are understanding that Multiplayer is such a big thing in this new decade.
We want a game that has a huge map, has very in-depth customization, has the ability to have a cockpit view as well as 3rd person, realistic car controls, a great variety of cars, and a decent story and multiplayer, and we want it now!
This is my kind of game. Take any car you want, build it from scratch and tune it, then put it on the roads with lots of other drivers online. I thought Forza Horizon was a fun free roam game... now this beauty

And there would be downgraded game like watch dogs. No the next gen consoles aren't very expensive and it's a better experience. Why lower the game just for double profit ? last gen will never run this game correctly and the map would never fit. It would always freeze and lag.
XELROLYAT DABOMB No. PS3 and x360 would probably have a hard time handle such big map open world with online features without joining lobbies. Even if it could the new console need exclusive games or no one would buy them. If this and most of the other games was on the PS3 I would have no reason to buy a PS4
I have to agree with Unknown-Revolver . Just look at GTA V for PS3 and 360 for example. That game is really big and as a result, online multiplayer can only have up to 16 players.

Pretty much. HP2010 had the whole cops vs. racer thing and technology "weapons". I also think Rivals is like a sequel to HP2010 in terms of gameplay. Quoted from the NFS Rivals website: "Racers can choose evasion technology from jammers to electromagnetic pulses. Cops are outfitted for aggressive busts with shockwaves, roadblocks, helicopter support and more." That sounds a lot like HP2010 to me.
I was talking about that, in real life there is no "nitrous effect", you don't get flames out of your exhausts when you use nitrous. Or you don't leave a light trace :P
well each car is different in performance, mustangs are rear wheel drive, good for drifting if i remember, some are all wheel drive, some are front wheel, and they effect how much "grip" the car has
plus Forza is a Driving simulator and like in real life nitrous does not Shoot flames out of your exhaust and launch your car forward.. it just simply increases horsepower.
You can play by yourself, but it's an MMO. You have to be connected online to play, and you are forced into a world with other people. But you can go on without talking or playing with anyone else if you want.
i remember when i saw this i got so hyped to get a ps4 just to play this game... really disappointing game, hasn't aged well either. the crew 2 looks like it will fix everything. the crew 1 was just the developers trying their idea for the first time. now that they've gained experience they know how to make this game awesome.

Ubisoft has easily become one of my favorite publisher the last years. If The crew, The division and Watch dogs is as good as it looks Ubi will will top the list, putting Rockstar Games on second place.
dunno if you need to go in the menu to change from multiplayer to singleplayer, there`s no singleplayer video out yet but i`m guessing you need to choose sp or mp in menu first, like in most games
I wish you had been more clear in this statement, what i believe you're asking is are there only two types of Tuning modes, off road and Street, but ;and this can only be because your new to racing games, well really any first look of any game. Yes technically u can only choose between 2 types of terrain, off road and street, however there are several different tuning levels under each of those two categories, so just wait till they release further info, and u will see, the tuning diversity.
I agree. Can you imagine a collaboration between Turn10 and Ubisoft to create something with this open world capability running a driving simulator? Unreal. I mean it, we just don't have the power.
Sad part is people that never been or seen the US will really think the US is that small the way the scaled the cities to be real big but in real life just one big city would = the whole MAP.
When will there be a street racing game with a first person cockpit view with free roam? Like shift 1-2, but on the streets with a huge map like the crew. Gas refills would be cool. Who likes this idea?
The way NFS Rivals is built, it is pretty much like a sequel to NFS Hot Pursuit (2010) as far as gameplay is concerned. That's probably what Asadullah21 was meaning by saying "NFS Hot Pursuit 2."
It's also a developer.. All games mentioned in the comment are developed by different studios of ubisoft around the world except for "The Cew" but it is partially developed by ubisoft reflections. EA has nothing to do with COD series, COD games are published by Activision.
Rockstar said GTA V's map will be bigger than Red Dead Redemption's map and GTA San Andreas's map put together, so it's a safe but that the room on the map will be sufficient.
Most interesting game I've seen in awhile. This is what I call an open world driving game, screw calling it a racing game, I can't wait to put on some music and just drive the entire freaking map for countless hours/days. Finally, something like this is being made. And in the future, maybe a sequel that's even bigger.
You have a good point... i want a mix of TDU, Forza, GT, NFSU2 and many others + big ass map, real traffic(every1 online) + gas refills + police...racing on closed tracks, getting to race track at 55mph...or flooring it down the highway, you would never know is there a stronger cop car or not... that`d be gratest racing game ever.... huge-ass map in cloud(like, usa or smth, lots of racetracks) because with fast internet connection we could still play, game would be like 20gb anyway,70 in cloud.?
If you guys read my earlier comments about what game would be awesome, I would like to add the ability to come up to a random online person and challenge them and putting up how much money on the line or for PINK SLIPS!!! I don't care what anyone says, but it would be the best racing game hands down!!! Can't get any better.
My only worry is the problem every driving game gets of the one car that is just obviously better than the others in each class... I hope they balance their performances well.
This reminds me a LOT of Fuel but with a smaller map but Higher Detail, cooler cars, better multiplayer and made by one of the few good gaming companies left :D your awesome Ubisoft
Thank god pedestrians are in this game, I hate playing need for speed most wanted and hot pursuit and have no people around, finally a company with balls to put people in a racing game
