I work at a Walmart supercenter near a small town/rural area and the only time I've ever done the chant is during my training course with HR. It is a very popular thing in other Walmarts and is mainly up to the management when to initiate it and to try to engage their employees. Not gonna lie, my Walmart is very poorly managed, so it's not surprising that we never do it; I would've probably skipped every meeting if we did.

Really? I keep hearing that but they offered me $19/HR in 2019 for entry level retail store.

I was discouraged from working overtime but did it anyway; they needed me (I worked in store standards pushing carts, a job that even now has little competition.) It was a joke. My manager told me week after week but I was full time already and I felt that at the end of the day they were paying me to deal with the entire store by myself most of the time.
