Cannot wait to read this, Sadly I cannot buy from the USA as I get hit with a truck load of taxes, and the shipping fees are greater than the cost of the book. So sadly I will pick up via my local Amazon, and hope that some of the royalties make it back to you Ryan. What I have on my travel bucket list is three road trips across and around the USA - one of them might stop at the painted porch for me to buy a book direct from you. Keep doing what you do - in the last five years you have helped me reshape my life, take a career pivot that wasnt on the cards, and I am again feeling rejuvenated and being successful. All because I bumped into a stoic course that led me to the Daily Stoic.
I’ve been watching your channel for a while and you put all these ideas into an understandable way- my cognitive decline will happen from progressive illness… Only earlier than the many of my fellow people. Pre ordered your book. Looking forward to reading it- old school style- Hard cover 🙏🏻🧠🤌🤘🏻🤓🧐
Brilliant brother its brilliant to encourage other people i listen to you and Marcus Aurelius affirmations brilliant bro it gives me guidance though life's journey
Hi Ryan! The virtue of JUSTICE is the most underrated one. We should always strive to do the right actions to ourselves, our fellow humans and in our communities. Great men and women throughout out history knew this in their hearts and souls. Keep up the good work! Best regards! ❤
Keep staying humble I hope u never turn into money hungry robots like others does and keep inspiring us to be better to be kind to be ourselves ill pre order !!
📚 your dedication to exploring the cardinal stoic virtues over the past five years is truly inspiring! Excited to delve into the wisdom of justice in your latest book-it sounds like a transformative read for personal growth and self-discovery.
It's as if you are telling me with that title: that the right thing to do is buy your book, right now because you signed it and its a first edition. Very compelling argument.
Can someone tell me in which text the Stoics talked about these cardinal values first? I've read Meditations, everything from Epictetus and a lot of Seneca. But I've not found them clearly mentioning cardinal values.
Looking forward to it! How intentional were the finger tapping / hand clapping against the book in this video? Seems like a very solid tactic - quite pleasing to the ears and eyes both. Comes out a few days after my birthday so I'll likely get a real copy and the audible version, too!
Yes, because a book is a tangible, physical creation we can hold in our hands. The tactile nature of it is far more appealing than any book on an ipad or even read.
@@therichbuddha3277 100%. I'm one of few I notice in my X feed who often comments on the scent of books, as well. I love flipping the pages in front of my nose and getting that fresh ink and paper smell.
I know you don't answer the comments personally which is fine but hopefully someone else can answer. Just to confirm is it true that Seneca has 12 essays altogether? If so the collection I own only features about 10 of them. I hope to get Letters next.
Hey Daily Stoic , very good video . I can do better editing in your videos which can help you to get more engagement in your videos . Pls lmk what do you think ?
FINE I will buy your books 📖 but your life experience kinda got me skeptical 20 year war where were you at ? KNow what am saying but I see your point you wrote for warriors to learn to live properly young sir
Nothing more annoying than the way you kept tapping that book. Have the courage to stop slapping and tapping that book for emphasis. Unreal how many times you slapped and tapped it lol.
