I'm just waiting for the year that Sara Sigmunsdottir wins the games just so I can see her beautiful smile on its best moment ever. Hopefully its next year. Also Matt Fraser inspired me to push myself harder on crossfit doing better everyday:)
I really enjoy watching CrossFit Games. Also my favorites won and did well. Respect to all athletes surviving this year crossfit games. Now it's gonna be long year waiting next Crossfit season. Well least there most likely will be invitational at some point
I agree man..that's exactly what I said too.I love Rich but if he was in individuals this year Mat would have still won.Mat was just a damn machine man.Even his results were more consistent than Rich's ever were..Rich always made his move late Saturday and won everything on Sunday but damn Mat was just freaking perfect throughout the whole week.I believe he'll win again next year.I just hope to God we don't start hearing ''oh Mat won coz Rich wasn't here''...I freaking hate those people.
It would've been so different on the mental level for Mat. Rich is very smart tactical and knows how to play games. We will never know if he could've beaten him and that's okay. They both wrote history. (still more impressed with Rich personally)

2007 plus 10 doesn't make 2016.. unless they are going off the date that they started planning the event, I'm not sure how it was the 10 year anniversary
Tia Toomey got robbed, I understand that Katrin was up by 11 points at the end but they needed to take into account that she wasn't able to finish the event so that should have been some type of penalty, they need to make this a part of the rules.
*Disclaimer I'm still new to crossfit so I'm giving you what I THINK is how it works first place gets 100 points second gets 94 and it just keeps dropping down by each place For a lot of the events they have to do different "heats" because they have more competitors than space for competitors so they break them up and they go at different times. For example if there's 30 guys/girls, 10 will go in heat 1, 10 will go in heat 2, and 10 will go in heat 3. They have the people with the lowest scores go in the first heats while the leaders go in the later heats. Those events are timed and whoever has the fastest time overall wins the event. There's 15 events I believe and whoever has the most cumulative points after all 15 wins. Winner gets $275,000 or something. Idk if anyone else gets anything
Simply put it, event winners get 100 points and last place gets 0, the rest is obviously spread through. The games have 12-15 events usually and the last few have had rest days instead of 5 straight days. Winner gets money, which frankly isn’t that much considering the competition nowadays, and currently the battle has been for second place since Mat won in 2016, and Tia in 2017
What's the stance on roids, HGH and other performance enhancing drugs here? It looks like most people, women, men, wouldn't pass such tests. They all look like they're using.
