And as Taylor said, "If they don't want me to write bad songs about them, they shouldn't do bad things". It's mostly the fanbase, who doesn't know the exact guys a certain songs are written about, bashes her exes. And Taylor did try to stop it. For example, when her 3rd rerecord was coming out, some fans were commenting on John Mayer's IG (that dated her when she was 19 and he was 32, basically a ₱€dophile) and Taylor asked fans to stop doing it.
