I saw the Cure in Holland in 1986 at Pinkpop and Rotterdam. At Pinkpop I may have partaken in some herbal remedies, but still wore the Cure jumper my mother knitted for me. Rotterdam was a full, on Head on the Door fest... still remember it all to this day.

We did go for The Cure in Thialf in Heerenveen in 1989. They opened with this (for us new) song. Goosebumps crawling everywhere. One of my best childhood concert memories. And now I hear how good they still play, I would go again. ( and again and again and again :-)

WHEN I ASK MY SELF - I CAN'T PUT TOGETHER A DESCRIPTION AS TOO, JUST HOW FUCKING IMPORTANT… THEN AFTER RESEARCHING THE ALBUM "Disintegration" - - And Coming To Find That Theses Are The 2 Opening Songs On The Album..? I Was Like "WOW" Who The Fuck is This Guy Robert Smith..? Then I Remembered These Guys On MTV - With The Big Hair And "The GOTH" Shit..? ( That's WHY I Said NO FUCKING Way )..! Robert Was Just Too Weird For Me, @ The Time. He Has Since Grown On Me Over The Years And I'm Able To Overlook His "Persona"… I've Now Come To Find That This Guy Has Written Some Very Important Compositions To The World Of R&R… The Fact That His Voice After 40 Years Is Still The Same And He Can Still Hit Those Notes Is Remarkable… As A Band They Have Quite A Few Songs That Are Simply Fucking Killer… Actually I'm Quite Happy I NEVER Listened To Them In 89 When "Disintegration" Was Released… Because I Probably Would Have Never Left My House - As i Was Going Through Some TOUGH SHIT Through No Fault Of My Own… These 2 Opening Tracks Make Me Tear Up To This Very Day…. TRUTH..! Their Catalog Is Very Vast, But The Dozen Or So Songs That I Love - Are Keepers For Me For Life… I Find There Sound, Tones, Hooks, & Melodies, To Be Very Hypnotic And Addictive… I'm VERY Happy To Have Found This Band, AS They Have Given Me Many Years Of Smiles & Tears… BLOODY FUCKING BRILLIANT..!
