If they made FighterZ 2 with rollback, and did more things like fun tournaments and full length character showcases like they did near the end of S3, that would be the best possible scenario
Balance patch in a nutshell: UI goku: so he's not top tier right... RIGHT?! GT goku: 💀 Kid buu players: omg this nerf is so bad im dropping kid buu Z Broly players:😏
@@bibo5505 nah man, his command grabs arent big damage without meter, and all of his blockstrings past 2m are unsafe, so you can leave or challenge them, same with his ki blast, vanish dont give more than 3 k damage tops, but at the same time, 3 bars light command grab does like 60-70 percent anchor, so that might be a problem
@@abfloorr I don't see how a grappler can be the best zoner in the game and have armor on most of his normals. I've seen ex grab used on wakeup because sometimes it's practically invincible. The barrier doesn't make it better
@@bibo5505 Dbfz is not a game where archetypes just fit like that, evey movement option, every button is universal to every charachter, Broly is a hybrid of a grappler and a zoner, so he is best on the ground and weakest from air approaches
I don't understand why you want a sequel to a game that doesn't need one. The community is still thriving heavily, new characters had just come out, and the net code is still solid, idk why people are calling it bad. Tekken 7 has been around for 7 or 8 years, most fighting games get 6 to 8 years of life these days. If we got a sequel even in the next year, that would mean that DBFZ 1 would only be around for 4 years max, no that ain't right, this game has way more life to breathe, no need for any sequel rn
Hate, let me say this clearly, HATE the lack of communication from the developers... don't they know that they are hurting their own pockets by not communicating with the player base? 😔
I don't blame them honestly lots of gamers start acting very entitled and impatient towards game developers once they get informed about deadlines, release dates or delays
fucking right? I think the legit best example of that is the “Galactic Arena “ stage. Not because it’s something insanely impactful in the game, but specifically due to how it perfectly portrays their lack of interest when it comes to fan feedback . Like, this game came out right when the ToP had just ended in the anime. And people kept asking the shit out of that stage since the game was released . So many players gave suggestions of extremely easy maps to make (I mean, come on, the Hyperbolic Time Chamber is a literal house in a white void) and they never even acknowledged it in any way. Then, more than a year after the game came out, they finally say there will be a new stage. And what it ends up being? Some extremely random ass original map that literally not a single soul in the planet asked for. And not to be ungrateful. The map is cool. But the point is that god knows how many hours they put into creating that nonsense that could have been used for content that was actually requested and begged for. A similar thing was seen with the ONE CHARACTER in the game that has a true alt skin and that it was ... VIDEL?! Like, we all understand it’s hard to make full on costume changes, but where is “Capsule corp 16, halo frieza, Goku with different Kanji and Gi’s ? (ITS A LITERAL MODEL CHANGE FFS), Long hair Trunks” and so many more? Yet despite fans asking for it, they put work info freaking V I D E L? Like what is that joke? So yeah, I think these summarize how they just didn’t care about anything besides the competitive scene. Basically neglected any fan feedback that came in these last 3 years
@@blackdoom_ Not really. UI Goku is the only paid character that’s truly insane. All of the others aren’t really much better, if at all, than most of the original cast thanks to various nerfs and buffs Edit: Forgot about Broly
A reason they didn't announced a season 4 yet, could be because ArcSys doesn't want GuiltyGear to be shadowed by DBFZ maybe? Also the online tournement last year was amazing to watch for us average players: We could see that online, the 6M and DR are not always teched (and for most of us, we only have online to play), and then the amazing commentaries for games on youtube was awesome!
@@boringinu2077 it would be terrible business practice for bandai to not produce somekind of sequel to a game that sold more than 6 million copies, it's most likely just a matter of time
I'm a DB fan first, and a FG fan second. And fighting games and Dragon are so intrinsically linked in my mind that I wouldn't enjoy another DB game or another ArcSys fighting game even a quarter as much as a potential DBFZ sequel
I don’t think the game is pay to play when you have teen gohan, kid buu, gotenks, and android 21 who are all debatably the either the best or atleast in the top 5 characters and they’re free
The big factor is that you have to pay for characters to lab against them which is where Fighting Games tend to become P2W. I really wish FGs would let you lab against characters you don't have in training mode, it'd also serve as a sort of 'demo' to see if you actually like the character before you buy them.
@@Dantarn I do agree it sucks not being able to lab against characters you don’t own. I didn’t have ui goku for a super long time and learning to play against him was harder because of that. However, I can’t blame the developers for that, it’s unreasonable to expect the dlc to be free and it doesn’t make sense for them to make them intentionally bad so of course some will be good
I think FighterZ is in a pretty good spot rn so far as normal gameplay. The online is pretty trash but when you get those low delay matches its really fun.
@Antdawg It's not even unreasonable. Jump Force came out after dbfz so the licences are clearly all available. Bandai Namco just needs to fuckin hire them for it.
@Antdawg so like jump force and that other game i forgot what it was called but it had the yellow guy from assination classroom and when you used mugetsu with ichigo you would die
I’d like a FighterZ 2 with better netcode (unless they can improve it with patches) regardless im still going to play as I find FighterZ fun but I really want another patch (I just want Goku Black to get buffed)
@@professorsageofthesixpaths7885 oh you actually think frieza is good, I would like to hear why you think that, frizbee is goku black tier and videl tier
@@reynauldwhistles2338 frieza is one of the best zoners in the game, second to only z Broly. His 2h is godlike. His golden frieza install is pretty good, also. Why do people think videl is low tier she is very stong
@@professorsageofthesixpaths7885 he is NOT one of the best zoners in the game you said it yourself broly is the best zoner but the thing is that zoning in dbfz is not even good (only z broly can do it) and you can beat frieza "zoning" by jumping and then super dashing or jump and then beam him when is recovering from whatever "zoning tool" he might have used, he also has really bad mix, can kill himself and has bad assists, atleast black goku has a good old reliable beam and videl has a multihit assist kind of like yamcha, about videl she doesnt have a reflect thats why she is bad, you and me and every other regular joe can do good whit videl but from the pro point of view not having a reflect makes her have really tought match ups against anyone that knows how to abuse that and pro will put you in a situation where reflect is the only option or they will continue whit infinite pressure, poor videl her dodge is so bad because you migth dodge a single attack yes but enemy is still next to you and ready to punish you, goku black and ssj goku need something else since having a beam assist is not that special anymore, maybe they can balance them the tien way, low mix but having a ton of damage or actually give them new tools (very unlikely) but they need changes and specially those 3 characters frizbee sjj and black goku
DBFZ was my entry to the FGC, and I have tried a lot of games since then. BBCF, GGXrd, UNIST (before it became UNCLR), BBTAG, and many others. I'll definitely get GGST (in fact I already preordered it) but I love DBFZ. I'll probably play more GGST for the first couple of months because it is a brand new game. but I'll still play DBFZ because I really love the game
I’d drop the game if there’s no more balance patches. My problem with the current version is; because so many characters share similar game plans, picking your favourite character sometimes feels like you might as well just play ‘X’ instead. Like base vegeta instead of bluku or 21 instead of Kefla/sbroly. On top of this, the assists spread is so bad you can’t get creative with teams. Zamasu, fat buu, frieza, and blue vegeta off the top of my head are characters that are just way too hard to stick into your favourite shell because they demand that your team be built around them due to their niche A and B assists. I get it’s ok for some characters to have defined roles, but, the way to making underplayed characters more common is not gimping their assist options
I would like to see a second dbfz game, maybe “Super dragonball fighterz” add some extra characters plus all the currently added dlc characters more maps some new system mechanics and hopefully rollback netcode.
About the background action: It’s cool to have that back there, but if you could add some chill lo-fi-esque music while you talk and mute the match it would go perfect. Maybe edit in some clips of what people are mentioning about the game. 👍🏽
great video as always Rath. one little suggestion related to uploading commentary over a full match, i would recommend putting some info graphics or evidence over the gameplay to support your arguments in your commentary. It would put less focus on the match and more on your words. Still awesome regardless! excited for the next uploads
great video as always Rath! I feel the same way, i would love to see some updates like rollback but i think a DBFZ 2 with rollback is very likely to happen due to the success of the game, either way we'll continue to play this game that gave us a lot of good times, new friends and great memories!
Love the game!! I’d really love a few more characters to be added and to bring the floor of the game up even more (I’m no expert in balancing but I just like seeing more characters succeed). A new game would also be amazing but it would be a bit frustrating to wait as the roster filled out all over again. Hope to keep playing this game for a long time and I hope even if we don’t get more support that there will be major offline events to watch!
If they release a new game i at least hope the base roster is close to the final roster of this one, they could reuse animations from this game so it should be doable
I'm going to be playing this game forever unless there is a sequel I'm thinking about having a second fighting game that I cycle out just so I always have a game with a healthy competitive scene in case DBFZ never gets a sequel
Yeah i was also planning to do the same thing, and strive seems to be the go to. It looks really fun, and with rollback online will actually be a blast to play. Cycling between a 3v3 to a 1v1 fighter should also be a nice change of pace.
@phoenix Try another arcys game like for example GG Strive, its a very good fighting game to started, has good rollback, cool character and good gameplay
@@Aripuni1 Yeah, GG Strive is gonna be that game Only problem I have with it ia that I don't like the characters that much, like even though I'm gonna main Millia and while I like her mechanically, but I don't really like how her hair-based special moves look
I don’t think it needs a sequel rn tho. Just updates to better the game, maybe some more game modes, and obviously more fighters. But I don’t think a sequel is Necessary right now
@@user-ek8cg7tm5s I think now that strive has released and melty bloods new game is coming out soon with both having rollback, fighterz is going to need a sequel now more than ever. If it doesnt get one, its netcode is going to be sticking out like a sore thumb. I'd much rather they focus their resources on a sequel with rollback than keep adding brand new content to the current game without rollback. After playing strive and seeing just how smooth the rollback is, its incredibly hard to go back to fighterz's garbage online, with how the average match barely even hits 4 frames delay, and is filled with wifi warriors and rage quitters. I feel like thats the games largest problem right now, and is something that can only be fixed in a sequel.
I feel like the game is in a fantastic spot (aside from netplay ofc) and I highly enjoy it and will continue to play it. Also I appreciate your positive takes on its future!
One important note on the rollback for DBFZ dream: it's Namco's call, not ArcSys, mainly. As for GT Goku's nerf, they broke his assist and the character stopped being an issue a long time ago. In the meantime, they added the one shot lvl 3 for Gogeta and UI still has every tool and some more. I feel Namco has DBFZ on autopilot now, especially after reading the leaks for an ArcSys MHA FighterZ-style. I'm hopeful for a sequel, but I don't think it'll happen before 2024 at best.
in my personal preference, i just like to watch people played dbfz, everytime i jumped in online , some character man...that's painful to deal with, like ui/cell/vegeto, everytime i read the 5L and go for punish the auto combo will trace me and i got punished, and some c assist, like ui c, god...it trace full screen and have so much frame advantage(or not?maybe i'm just not ready to punish), the game fell like a one side game for me , once you get a clean hit, must of time you can win a character, i still can play well , but everytime i jumped back to online , i just feel tired after i played it, watching other played is enjoyable though, anyway dbfz have more 'WTF' moment than other fighting game, if i want to relax i just boot xrd
I do think they'll announce a new world tour when international travel becomes widespread and realistic enough again. If they are planning a season 4/new game, they need a platform to announce it off of, and a world tour finals fits the bill perfectly. Personally I wouldn't mind more characters, but balance patches to make older characters more interesting, and better netcode (obviously) are changes that I think the community would prefer more. Whether or not Bandai reckon enough money can be made from those changes to justify investing in them is a different matter entirely. I hope that for whatever they have planned, they've learned from their experiences in the 3 years of running this game, and walk forward as smarter and more in touch developers.
As much as I adore the game, I think I'm fine with it staying like this (except for some minor system changes). Aside from stages, which can always get added as DLC, I don't know what a sequel would bring to the table. If anything it might screw up what we have right now. In terms of longevity I don't think the game will stop being played for the next 3 years, at the very least. It will probably always have a side-tournament at your big majors.
As my first tag fighter and first foray into ASW games, I'm definitely not going to stop playing DBFZ anytime soon. But for the future, I think we have a strong, diverse, and balanced cast at this point. I have complete faith they'd knock a fourth season out of the park, but I am more curious to see what a sequel would look like, what new mechanics or game changes would be implemented going forward.
After watching this video after being completely disinterested in playing dbfz since season 2, I'd watch you talk at length about just about anything Rath, dbfz or not. More discussion videos similar to this would make me happy, but like I said I just want more videos full stop.
Im guessing the GT nerfs are due to Japan's pick rate. For some reason they still think the character is really strong to the point that the Japan scene is still running him with B assist. Idk if we are just missing something or if Japan just hasnt developed enough meta wise.
I don't even think Japan thinks he's that strong They just seem to use the same characters until ArcSys literally forces them to drop them Like they're still playing him even now, even though he's one tiny nerf away from being bottom tier
@@Phoenix-pb4sm thats true I dropped GT for ssj4 gogeta after the last patch hes basically kinda useless in comparison tonither characters with similar and better tools
Love the gameplay playing in the background, definitely keep that in your future videos! The game was incredibly fun for the first two years, but of course when the pandemic came around and you're forced to play online you don't get that same satisfaction. Then of course there's the addition of some very powerful DLC that just makes the game a little bit irritating to play. I still play from time to time but I've definitely shifted towards games with Superior netcode that I can play with my online homies without any issues. Any plans to cover strive in the future? Your analysis videos have always been top notch and would love to see that same energy for strive
so to go through a few of the questions: 1) is this pay to win? not right now no. UI goku is the one character i can think of that has the ease of use AND the general kit that makes me think P2W, but barely even that. people cry P2W when a good cahracter is easy to pick up and play. ya'll need to calm down on that. 2) what do it hink will happen next? there were rumors of a new dragon ball project coming up - a movie or something. if that is happening i wouldn't be surprised to also see what i like to call Super Dragon Ball FighterZ. This game is massively popular, even years after its release, so its making a ton of money for toei. if they are developing more DB media, they'd be fools not to take advantage. the game as it is is over. i think the team has moved to other projects. we have a fully completed game on our hands. 3) do i think the game is still good? hell yes i do. i love playing fighterz. yes even online, though a new game with rollback would be amazing. i will probably continue to play fighterz regularly. the game feels balanced at my level, which is crazy to me. if they never did another balance patch i'd be fine with it. plus? i've never played this game offline - i don't have local friends who play. so the netcode isn't keeping me from enjoying it. 4) is guilty gear going to kill fighterz? no. they are wildly different games in terms of function and style. GG is more like street fighter than fighterz. its like saying a new tekken game is going to kill fighterz, it makes no sense. people who just love fighting games will of course move to GG, but people who like fighterz because of the specific kind of game it is... we'll keep playing and not move on. the main thing i want from fighterz now is this to continue. i want fighterz to be a long running franchise, something where i can look forward to DLC and new games on a regular timeline. i want a fighterZ 2, 3, 4, whatever. if i don't get that, like i said above - i'd really love to see a game with a similar style, or for disney and capcom to kiss and make up and give us a 2D cartoony marvel game. i like tag fighters, i always have, and i don't like slower games like SF or - yes - guilty gear. the pure frenetic energy from turbo style games like fighterz and the capcom marvel series is what i crave. honestly if it weren't for covid i wouldn't have been surprised if we saw an announcement for FighterZ 2 at E3 or evo. SS4 Gogeta was clearly supposed to be the last character in the game - just the face that its blue vs SS4 in the dramatic finish tells me that. all in all - i still love the game warts and all. the core gameplay is solid, the visuals are beautiful, and it is playable online... at least to me, a majin level player who just goes into ranked for the fun of it. i just hope we get a new game, or a game with the same mechanics, in the near future. i'd pre-oder that game as soon as the news dropped.
1. Nobody complained that Bardock in S1 was pay to win even though he was way stronger than UI Goku and way easier UI Goku is literally just more frustrating because he's a defensive counter character, he's pretty tame when you compare him to past top tiers or even Z Broly now
I love DBFZ but after getting really into it for years and playing offline I just can't do the netcode anymore, and since that's my (and a lot of people's) only option at this time I unfortunately have just dropped it completely. Baby was my most wanted character and even he couldn't get me to stick with the nightmare netplay. I'll be playing Strive for now but this game got me into fg's and I'm looking forward to a version with playable online, even if that's in the far future.
This game is more likely going to get a sequel rather than more dlc, since (as you already explained) all the planned extra content for the game has concluded. Plus, what other characters do they REALLY need to add??? I'd appreciate some character changes and costumes, but that can always be saved for the next installment
I have several friends in the games industry and COVID absolutely interrupted their releases, either by forcing delays to get a complete product out, or forcing cuts to get the product out on time. It wouldn't surprise me if we got a late season 4 announcement. Personally I think we'll get a "championship edition" sometime next year after Strive's launch hype dies down.
I agree with pretty much everything you said, sadly the lack of offline play makes the game a little weaker lately but it’s still good nonetheless, pay to win doesn’t even makes sense, literally 1/3 of the best characters in the game are free(Tohan, 21, Kid buu, gotenks), I don’t think this game is gonna die so soon, another season seems like another possibility but at least for me it’s highly dependent on the competitive after GGS, I could be wrong, I think that another game like a fighterz 2 or another fighterz style game would be a bit better than a season 4 or a balance patch, but that’s just me. And yeah Gogeta is strong, but besides reynald, I don’t think anyone is gonna be going with the level 7 stat, probably if he is picked at all he is gonna be used as a mix up heavy character always in your face type.
DBFZ 2 with better netcode seems to be the best way forward. If nothing else I would love a REAL balance patch to make some of the weaker characters a bit more playable.
I think the game is great and I'd love a 4th season or sequel. I think it's inevitable; Dragon Ball is still ultra popular, after all. But even if we don't get anything I'll still play.
It would be so fucking hype if the new DBS movie and DBFZ 2 released the same year like DBFZ and the Broly movie Having Moro and Granolah at launch with the new movie char as DLC would be a dream come true
probably. I wasn't saying level 7 won't ever happen. Just that I don't think it will be important in a big percentage of matches. The things that I think really make gogeta good are the things that come into play every time someone plays him, like his normals, second airdash, consistent damage, etc. On the note of level 7, I think Reynold is an awesome player to watch. His team is perfectly built to get level 7 as consistently as possible.
i will stop playing fighterz for a bit when strive comes out because this game is fun but the online really holds it back. i still play skullgirls, tfh, and ggacr+ because they have good rollback but besides tfh, skullgirls and ggacr+ are older games and i want to play something new with other people and that is why i really looking forward to strive and kof 15
I love this game, I’m just tired of the netcode and I would love some adjustments to knockdowns. A lot of the time I’m more scared of my opponent while they’re grounded than they are of me, regardless if I’m using safe jump setups. It feels like people can be way too random and the delay supports that randomness. Lord Knight calls DR a literal command grab online and I’m really starting to take that serious. Getting hit by randomness I reacted to online is seriously turning me off. 6M, DR and MASH = the online speciality and it’s getting exhausting. I would love some improvements. I want this game to continue to flourish but certain things are personally making me really tired of playing. I’m looking forward to Strive and Melty Blood, but I still want this game to succeed.
Learn reflect proof strings and learn tô use assist tô cover wake up mashing btwen you jump move and falling. Knockdown still heavy favors the attacker even If is not nearly as one sided as dr and old lv 3
I predict that instead of a season 4 with characters that we get qol improvements. Like a new stage, character skins or dramatic finishes. I would love to see more what if finishes like with the gogetas
I’m in a FB group for this game, right? I can’t tell you how many people are outright dropping this since Strive has come out. It’s actually surprising. Like I knew rollback was important, but I always considered this one of the games with a strong enough IP to keep a bunch of people, and it probably still will, but it’s pretty crazy to see still.
My only problem is the latest balance patch. They could have helped out goku black and zamasu with like 2 or 3 changes each. Simple stuff like give zamasu's 5S the ability to hit small/ crouched opponents and his 236x faster and more active frames. Bam he's fixed. Obviously they hate him and want me to use Z broly so that's what I did.
I don’t really think there would be a Season 4, since all of the notable characters have largely been used up, unless they do the single biggest meme season with Goku, Goku, Goku, Goku, and Goku, since you can never have too many Gokus in this game
I played this morning some "Casual" matches. There's wasn't a single match out of 14 that I played where my opponent's team did not include UI Goku or SS4 Gogeta, not a single one, some had both and of course at least 1 C-assist. The "meta" for this game is toxic and stale
I have over 100 hours played since the game launched and I’ve probably only played about 10 online matches. (Platform PC) - Fingers crossed if and when DBFZ2 comes out it will have rollback. - jinx😅🖖
If the final patch (it's coming at middle of the year I think) is full of buffs for the cast than this is going to be gold but I don't think it is going to be that crazy and I think Arc Systems should focus on GG Strive right now
they were developing GG at the same time as they were producing new content for fighterz. no worries, they have multiple teams working on various projects.
All they have to do in dbfz2 is add transformations..and take out the clones.. Maybe add more stages with destructive buildings,levels..i want to throw my enemy into a wall and follow up with my attack..no corner lock downs..
FFS. Listening to any DBZF videos is like wading through waters of murky foreign language only to get to the other side having gained very little because all the TERMS. Just terms to know what you are talking about is necessary, that's a steeper learning curve than most games. This game is amazing. I'm a DB fan first given it's direct metaphor to Buddhism and spiritual enlightenment [the name Goku literally means awakened to emptiness] and fighting game fan second, really only playing Tekken otherwise as the mechanics make the most sense to me, it's just so intuitive. Trying to get better at this game, however... it seems more effective to just play on my own too figure out harder mechanics to pull off or combo strings. Every video I watch is great, but none of them ever delineate what these acronym terms or otherwise very nerdy sounding fighting game phrases. No other game genres have such a language to learn just to git gud enough. :/
I’ve been watching Dragon ball since I was a kid and it was on toonami. And I’ve played just about every DB game there is. This is without a doubt my favorite one, because it’s a fighting game and it’s a balanced competitive fighting game. I will always play it. Im excited for GG and will play that frequently but I won’t drop DB for it. As for season 4, I think it’s unlikely but I’d love to see it. And I do feel like the game is very balanced. If they gave the low tiers some small buffs that would be even better, goku black, Zamasu for ex. As for pay to win, I disagree. I do see why people say that so, especially if you have a team like UI, SSJ4 Gogeta, and z Broly or something. But if it were truly the case then we’d see red Gogeta in tournaments more often.
i think the game its okey right now, but i dont like the community, is so toxic and is hard to find people seriously love the game like i do (sorry for my poor english, i hope you can understand me XD) grettings from México, I hope you are fine Rath!
Oh por dios :0, la neta si es medio tóxico, yo creo que así son la mayoría de juegos de pelea, vas a ver luego que guilty gear va a caer en lo mismo tarde o temprano
Everyone likes the Idea of a sequel But here on Brazil the game is pretty criminal on its price, would prefer a update but sadly i know that will not happen :(
Imma be playing this game for a long time because I love it, period. BUT as long as they do SOMETHING, I'll be even happier. Arc is busy with all their other games coming out / older games that need love (GBVS) so it's understandable if they keep us waiting for a new announcement, but being left in the dark for this long is a bit uncomfortable.
I see in the comment section that many players see online matchups as bad And i can’t disagree more Im around 60%winrate GoD and the level here is pretty good. Few matchups are annoying ( spam, c assist turtling, lags etc. ) But this game is not dying, i can find a match in 20seconds WITH „no leavers” option so if you don’t like to play vs someone just mark them and don’t click remach. Another thing to keep in mind is that in fighting games there is a rule of „anything goes”, and if you don’t like that, then its your problem exclusivly. And pay to win? We are talking about a game that is very balanced, and although i myself use team of gogeta blue, monke and kid goku ( all dlc ) i can get my as* handed to me by a team of kid buu cell and ssj goku. Its literaly not about what characters you play, its how good you are with them.
i honestly enjoy the game, but the netplay really discourages me from playing it consistently, in my area people prefer to play sports games over fighting games, so im stuck with online, its honestly the main reason why im so excited for strive after trying the rollback on there
We DONT need a sequel This game is too good There will be a schism you fellas don't understand People will divide themselves between fighterz 1 and 2 It's not necessary Not everything needs a sequel Stand alones are amazing Movies : Requiem for a Dream (no sequel); Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (no sequel) TV : Mirai Nikki (no sequel) Death Note (no sequel) Attack on Titan (hopefully no sequel lol) The point is we don't need sequels and rehashes of every yk?
So, instead of nerfing Kid Buu, who's been top 5 since the release of the game, they went after GT. I'm so done with this game and with its best characters always being the dumbest ones and the easiest to play - Gotenks being the only exception -
For me the GT nerf is simple, the Gogeta GT A would have been too good and with Broly or piccolo assist you'd EASILY win neutral I think but it's just what I think 🤔
I have a strong feeling we will not get season 4. If we did I'd be very convinced we would get a rollback addition because they would want to keep the game alive and running keeping up with the other new gen fighting game releases that have rollback from the start. I would say it's more realistic that we get a second addition to the FighterZ series with either another anime or just another variation of the current game. It's just unrealistic to say FighterZ would stay relevant with its current netcode and more fighting games coming out with better connections.
Z Broly is definitely the most braindead and broken character in this game but he's still not even that bad. You wanna see bad look at S1 DBFZ or other fighting games.
I want Arc System Works to take a crack at a 2D Naruto fighter. The roster of characters and abilities is too bonkers for it to not be given the same love and respect as DBFZ. At the very least we won't get 5 DLCs of different Narutos....(I hope... I'll accept 3)
Eh, I'm gonna wait in GG. The new Beta did not make me confident; It seems too simple and seems to do away with stuff from Xrd that I liked. Like its shaping to be the SFV equivalent for that series
@@YaBoiPhil I mostly played Ino and had fun lol but yeah I played guilty gear xx and xrd and can feel the difference. Each game has gotten a bit less completely and slower paced I feel, but idk I think the game will get better over time and I had fun with the beta and the netcode. Had more fun than I've in in dragonball for awhile
@@synysterpain Thats very true! I didn't play Xrd Sign or Rev 1, so idk how those were taken at the time. But hopefully if the launch isn't great, we end up with a Strive Rev 2 or something that irons everything out. I still love DragonBall, but i really only play locals cause playing online is begging for me to stop having fun.
@@ali-kun7038 He's not top 5 With Z Broly, Gotenks, Base Vegeta, Android 21, and Base Goku there are just too many characters obviously better than him
@@ovnbun1981 Yeah, he's still really good, but he's undeniably fair now, and if they nerfed him more he'd just go the route of GT Goku where he barely functions and has nothing unique or fun And now that UI Goku's easy broken tools got nerfed, players gotta start using all his weird crazy shit they've been pretending doesn't exist TL;DR Weird that in the same video Rath both implies GT got over-nerfed and is advocating the same for UI
@@Phoenix-pb4sm listen pal, just because you can't wake up tech into lvl 1 beam to escape corner safely anymore doesn't mean he isn't good... He still has reversals, the only character to mix you in your own oki, a flip that's either plus or a grab or a reversal or a cross up and god tier normals and specials is easily top 5 and he is definitely better than baseku but idk about base vegeta or a21. and don't compare him to gt goku he didn't have reversals or dp or lvl 1 counter, he was broken due to system mechanics and that busted spirit bomb, and since they nerfed both atleast he would've still been top 10.
wouldn't be surprised if we got a Dragon Ball Fighterz Complete Edition, with a balance patch. but I imagine we wont get new Characters. with the cast as is, I think any team is viable. That being said I get tired of everyone just picking all the Fusions and Brolys plus UI. wish there was more variety in that respect. I think that is just a product of playing online. makes me wish there was a FGC in my area. But that makes me excited for Strive. being able to play with more people from all over :)
Has anybody considered that none of the pros are playing Gogeta 4 because they've put so many less hours into him than characters they've maybe been playing for a year+? He is literally the latest character to release, he will naturally have a lower pick rate in the pro scene for a little while. That doesn't mean he isn't a broken pos
UI Goku was pretty widespread almost immediately UI Goku wasn't actually that bad, and Gogeta is pretty close to top tier, it's just that Gogeta needs a way more specific team than UI Goku did or the other top tiers do
Having DLC characters with specific abilities that you only get through real money is the very definition of pay to win though. Look at SS4 Gogeta's powerd up Level 3 TOD and UI Goku, then there's GT Goku... It's pretty obvious the game's pay to win, even if skill and labbing are a major factor. For a game to not be pay to win you'd have to have cosmetics only, that means no more character dlc's. It's the same for every other game that does the "character dlc" thing.
I'm completely fine with the game for now. Really, all I'd want is for my mains to become broken if they made a patch. That, or just give some characters some new moves and new routes
I feel really intimidated whenever i see broly or gogeta ssj4. I always have a problem even if they are 2 tiers lower than mine. I use blueku, basegita and teengohan. Only teengohan seems to catch up with their speed on mashing battle
Hmm I got to disagree with Ss4 Gogetta being ok he has over powered auto combo that hits all the time plus his normal hit even without mashing I just be bored fighting against him cause everyone i fight has him vegeto and blue goggeta with all c assist just a disgusting sight
I like how your positive about how “people who like dbz will play dbz” but I feel like it’s not that easy for some people. I play on Xbox which already has a low player base and the older this game gets the less I’ll be able to play.
