La llorona is a very famous story in Mexico, I remember growing up being told stories of how people would hear her crying and she would say “ay mis hijos” which means oh my kids. My hometown is very very small and I would always hear stories of many “creatures” in Mexico such as the headless horseman and how after midnight you would hear horses and chains on the ground meaning it was the dev*l. I never fully believed those stories since I had never witnessed anything but my grandma (rip), a very religious person her entire life and a person you would genuinely think would never lie, said she heard La llorona in her house. Her house was in front of this soccer field where many ppl would say at night evil spirits would go there. It was so scary that I would always hate walking home by that field at night. She said she was making tamales one day and then she heard her cry, she even went to check outside to see if there was anyone, and this was during the day not the night, but there was no one and then she heard it coming from inside her house. She was so scared she left her house to go look for ppl but no one ever saw anything.

See…something about this movie has always worked for me. I definitely put it over Annabelle Comes Home. It had the perfect amount of creep to it. Something about the ambiance of the 70s setting really worked. That hallway scene when mom first encountered La Llorona was perfectly unsettling. And for you guys missing the hidden background stuff, with this universe, you have to look for EVERYTHING 😭 I couldn’t believe some of y’all missed her in the hallway!! I wanted to watch this whole movie last night along with you guys on Patreon but I couldn’t wait and ended up watching this shorter version before the full length was uploaded 😂😭

Folk lore in Central America. I used to have my entire body fill with fright and I became all white with creepy fear as a child walking home at night along the bayou, rivers, lakes when no ones around due to parents telling the story. Which went lady drowned her children in the river that her ghost walks along searching for her children til this day and if you see a white gown along the banks glowing she would find you and let out a banshee demonic scream. It's like the mountains of Monterrey Mexico witch which is seen flying along the mountain tales police even caught something of witch like on video and didn't want to go investigate The news opens by stating people are disturbed and freaked out. And the cops interview have fear and scared of what they saw even the ones that did go close they saw disturbing witch stuff ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aywcr_ef4WU.htmlsi=loVbl99eMRf87fN2 I will say this was way before drones were part of everyday routine.

IDK Guys, I just looked up La Llorona and its connection to the other Conjuring movies… and everything I read said that La Llorona was ultimately NOT connected to the other films, EXCEPT for the fact that the actor Michael Chaves - who plays the same priest in two movies - was basically “borrowed” from La Llorona because he did such a great job.😄

the dress from the annabelle comes home is different from la llorona... the tale of the wedding dress from annabelle comes from a psychotic bride who killss her husband and from then on, whoever wears it goes psychotic and may or will go on a killing spree. i hope there will be a spin off movie for that but i think the conjuring the last rites will be the last of them all linked with frenchie..

That’s what I said to Matthew at the top of reactions it’s a SPIN OFF just like the nun and Annabelle so if it’s not part of the universe neither is the nun or Annabelle
@amber.ren_1995
@amber.ren_1995 7 месяцев назад
The reason that some people don’t think it is is bcuz they didn’t see any connection with it to the Conjuring Universe. The Nun and even with Annabelle it connected in some ways with the Conjuring Universe. So that’s why people were confused with this movie.
@gabriellin1352
@gabriellin1352 7 месяцев назад
This is the best spin-off or stand-alone horror/ghost movie from The Conjuring, Annabelle, and The Nun franchise or universe. It’s an amazing movie, an unexpected and underrated gem 💎. Honestly, I don’t understand why people don’t love it or like it or even not hyped to watch it🤷‍♂️ Its quality is on par with Annabelle: Creation, or higher. The shaman and the main actress (mother) were good actors like Ed & Lorraine in The Conjuring. Definitely this movie is in and within the same universe of The Conjuring, Annabelle, and The Nun. People who disagreed with that fact, must be those who never watched the movie, only listened to or read what others were saying and talking about. Just because someone stated and claimed that it doesn’t happened in the same universe of The Conjuring, Annabelle, and The Nun, doesn’t mean that they were right and true (Regardless whether it was an official statement or claim). The truth hurts and said it otherwise, if viewers or public audiences did watched this movie. In the movie, the priest just mentioned clearly that there was a past incident/encounter with the regards of a doll, and the flashback of the scene from Annabelle were shown. This proved that this movie happened in the same world, and universe with The Conjuring, Annabelle, and The Nun. It’s just that this is a different story/matter/incident/encounter/happening in a different timeline. But, still in and within the same universe or the world of The Conjuring, Annabelle and The Nun. 🤦🏻🤷🏻 Anyway, just hope that more people will watch this movie and more people will see the value in this movie and more people will like it, love it❤ and appreciate it😊 Side note 📝 here: Please react to Darkness Falls (2003). You will never see tooth 🦷 fairy 🧚 the same way again. And you will never dare to be alone in the dark anymore😎

In reality, Annabelle was not going to appear in this film, but the producer and director decided to do so as a promotional nod to Annabelle 3, which would be released 2 months later. Then Warner came out to declare that the film was not part of the Universe.
@woozin4696
@woozin4696 2 месяца назад
which is silly because it was promoted as the next installment 💀 What really happened is this was the 8th movie in the franchise, but it didn’t satisfy critics and is the least grossing movie in the franchise with 125 million (but still made huge amount of profit). Since this is just loosely connected to annabelle and even more loosely connected to the warrens, they attempted to detach it (didn’t work). It’s canonically part of the universe no matter what. I also think its a shame they tried saying this because it’s better than the first nun and the first annabelle😂

Depending on where you’re from, La Llorna has different variations of the story. But It still scares me to this day lol. Whenever I think I see a white figure, Dude I run! 😂 My mom used her to keep me from crying, because La Llorna was looking for her crying children that she drowned because they were cryers after the father left. My grandma from my dad’s side told me her version from Guadalajara. That La Llorna was a beautiful native that caught the eye of a Spaniard. They had two kids. The Spaniard was going back to Spain, but he was gonna take the kids with him and leave her behind. So,in a fit of anger, she drowned her kids. To keep them from leaving her. Crying til the end. Afterwards, realizing what she did, she drowned herself. Being denied Heaven, cursed to walk the earth. Searching for her children. Following the cries of children, hoping she’s found them. But yea, there’s so many folk tales in Latin America that were made to scare kids into behaving… lol

Great reaction to a great movie. Not many saw this as this wont be a popular comment but as a Latino I can say that no one really watched this due to the Latino connection and the folklore. Not many Latino movies are made and Americans will not watch movies or tv shows with Latinos like they do African American movies like Get Out or Black Panther which were both just ok. Hollywood doesn't like us and neither does America. Better movie than all the Annabelles and The Nun movies. Latinos grow up with parents telling kids to behave and go to bed or La Llorona will get them. She is our Boogeyman.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the dress that La Llorona is wearing is NOT the same dress as the wedding dress from Annabelle Comes Home. Its JUST another white dress. La Llorona is often depicted and described in Mexican (some other cultures, but Mexico is where she originates from) folklore as being a "woman in white" aka a woman wronged by her husband (usually a woman either killed by her husband or fiance or who was cheated on and then murders her children, this was actually covered in the Supernatural pilot episode, the young woman who could "never go home" and would ask taken men to take her home, then kill them when they cheated on their SO). There are many accounts that claim the legend to be true, and it may very well be. The legend states that La Llorona (which is Spanish for "the weeping woman"), was the most beautiful woman in her area, and her beauty was known for miles around. One day , a wealthy cattle baron came into town, she caught his attention, he fell madly in love with her, wooed her, and she fell for him, they married and had two sons. He was often away on business, but always eagerly returned to his beloved wife and sons sooner than scheduled because he missed them so much. One day, he was late coming home, this pattern continued and eventually, after hearing rumors of infidelity, La Llorona went to see for herself, and found her husband in bed with a younger woman. Furious and out of her mind with anger and grief, she went home and drowned their young boys in the river, destroying the one thing he loved most in his life, and she hers. Afterward, she IMMEDIATELY realized what she had done, and tried to drown herself in the same river as well, but the water rejected her, God rejected her, and the Devil rejected her, all saying her cruelty was too much for any of them to take, that it would poison the river forever, so she died a half death, and she was punished by being forced to walk this earth, forever searching for her children, and she will take ANY CHILDREN who cross her path. Parents often tell children to listen to their parents and come home before dark or else La Llorona will come and take them away. A story with a similar vibe that is ALSO in movie form (although the movie and the ACTUAL accounts vary wildly) is a movie called "Stay Alive", which is about a group of friends who are gamers, and they get a game from a friend of theirs who is murdered, and when the group plays the game, they all become haunted by a spirit of a woman named Elizabeth Bathory who hunts them down in a horse drawn carriage. A THIRD movie with still similar vibes, found footage style, mockumentary style, is called "The St. Francisville Experiment" and is about another real life figure named Madame Lalaurie, a socialite who was from New Orleans, and whose house was about the size of a city block. When her kitchen caught fire and part of her home burned down, a torture room was found with rotting corpses of slaves, still alive slaves chained up and bloodied, some with various experimental surgical wounds and other horrendous injuries. The slave who started the fire was chained to the stove, and did so because she told her rescuers that she preferred burning alive to living another moment in that house. Unfortunately, the stories about Madame Lalaurie are ALL too true.

RIP Brandon Lee tho along with his dad Bruce Lee. no one, and i mean NO ONE can play the crow the way Brandon Lee did. what do you mean her being a hater? as mother you will never understand that feeling if you aren't one or a parent in general. btw the mother in the beginning where he two kids were in the closet, she plays in the movie called the mummy 2001 as anck-su-namun.

It was probably easy for Patricia to curse her kids, because she had never met them.
