This is hands down my absolute favourite Mastodon song, which says a lot considering how many amazing songs this guys have, and I never even thought it could sound this good in this acoustic/ambient tune.. So beautifull guys, you simply never seize to amaze me!! Love you guys so much!!
its confidence. And practice. They are all really coming into their own. I first saw them live during the blood mountain days. And it's unreal how far they've come. Wish I could've seen them during their remission tour, but I still got to see mother puncher and march of the fire ants live. For real though, they have truly all come into their own live. Studio they've always been killer. But it also takes confidence and patience with yourself to really shine live. Brent has really come into his own vocally. And troy has exceeded all expectation. And the degree to wich brent and bill are in synch is unreal. Also lucky enough to have brent eat at the ramen bar in denver that I bartend at, so got to talk to him and his wife (she's brazilian, forgot her name)... anyway, those two shred and play so well of one another. Circle of cysquatch , mother puncher, and the czar are examples of that. And my god brann. Between his drumming and now his vocals. He fucking kills it live. Hats off boys. you fucking shred. Among the modern greats... you and electric wizard stand at the top. Uncle acid a close third
