Yeah I think her sister and family trying to piggyback off of her tiktok success is only bringing her more hate as people blame her for the rest of her families antics and gets a lot of teasing over the bits they ask her to do. She's famous for doing Tik Tok dances, just let her do that. Stop trying to make her into a reality tv star/celebrity. Realistically if she's really passionate about dance they should be focusing on her dance lessons and a dancing career. More music videos and back up dancing, less podcasts and family vlogs. Otherwise, when her audience grows up or tiktok loses popularity, she won't have a career to lean on.

At some point, they're going to reach the kardashian level where no one likes them, but they attract numbers, so brands will pay them millions to promote things. Unpopular opinion: Charlie just wanted to make TikTok and be a kid (rich or not) and the adults in her life saw the opportunity to capitalize on her fame. She may have been complicit and enjoyed the lifestyle and company she got to meet, I’ll give you that, but the ones who pulled the trigger was undoubtedly her parents and manager. The glitz and glamour of fame is always appealing until you’re in the middle of it and you have 10 different people in your ear telling you what to do next and you’re schedule is packed and you have no time for normalcy or privacy. Her sister Dixie (through envy or jealousy) wanted what Charlie has but I think Charlie would’ve been fine just being TikTok famous without brand deals and collab and went about her life, until the world moved on to the new sensation. Her folks definitely pushed her to do more and cash in on vapid mediocrity rather than develop her dancing skills and launch off of that. She would’ve have made a fine choreographer and made bank on that had to she stayed the course. I’m no fan of her or do I follow her (I don’t even have a TikTok lol). My 2 cents 😅

Charlie is like if you put all the popular kids together and she is arbitrarily somehow the most popular. Didn't a rep from the TikTok company say they "picked" (or a similar word) the D'Amelios from the data they had on them. It elevated them in the algorithm. They had the looks, family, came from a certain neighborhood, etc. They also hid/hide overweight, ppl of color, low income ppl, and unattractive people from the algorithm. I don't know if they still do that. But I remember seeing that interview and the response to a q from a rep to something like "do you manipulate the algoritm" and tiktok laughing and saying of course.

i'm a former dancer and i follow a few dancers on tiktok who post videos of their choreography/performances/rehearsals and you can tell how hardworking and talented they are. it kind of sucks that charli (who was likely fairly talented in her actual dance classes if she's been dancing for most of her life) rose to fame with the subpar "dancing" we all know her for. i guess when some people realize they're getting an absurd amount of popularity and wealth without putting in the effort typically associated with their craft, their artistic integrity and passion goes out the window. that said, for someone who does nothing, she attracts such a massive amount of hate. that can't be easy for anyone, let alone someone as young as her when she first started.

The fact they made James Charles look down to earth and good is crazy. This family needs to step away from social media and focusing on investments. They already made it big. The damage they’re doing to their brand won’t help with sustaining cash in the long run when nobody watches them anymore. There are many yt channels with millions of subs that gain 20k+ views per video when they used to get 1mil each vid. The more they space it out the more people would be interested in them so a break is much needed.

As we've seen from child actors in Hollywood, a majority of the time, introducing insane fame and popularity at such a young age almost always messes with the kid's development; and yes kids because all this fame comes while they're still minors and barely have a conception of what the world is.
