Yeah ive heard about a pint of petrol to a tank before I think that was to stop the the derv from icing over? CU in the NT haha I had it on when I got the derv and the woman behind the counter told me to turn it inside out haha I told her what it meant and she said she didn't see the "in the" bit lol.

@@Mobileblaster why you just don't send the compressor to a Doosan service and make a full service of it?

@George george it's a full 250 hour service kit only difference with 250 and 500 is oil air separator this was done 100 hour ago from a failure and a fan belt on 1000 hour service. I've used all genuine doosan parts and oils doosan wouldn't do anything different only charge labour changing these bits.

It would be a shame to get rid of this now all she needs an auto electrician to find the wiring fault as engine and air end is solid. Thanks for your comment appreciate it :)

ive since retired this compressor turned out it was a dojy ECU making all the issues :(

I just cannot figger out what courses or how to solve it or even boj it to get going its just temperamental I need a auto electrician to have a look at it engine and air end is solid its just the wires or sensors? I've limited skill when it comes to wires 😂

@@Mobileblaster if that’s how you can get it started. Chances are the solenoid on the injection pump needs rebuilt. Sometimes you can just pull the solenoid if it’s an external and have it rebuilt. Other times- Like mine which has an internal solenoid on the injection pump. I’d have to remove the whole pump and send it out for rebuild.

@Chase Martindale I understand that logic in what your saying but I would say it could be a lose wire or bad earth or even worse a faulty ecu like I say I'm pissing in the wind as my auto wiring skill is limited I really need a guy that specialises in this area. I'm going to try and find someone tomorrow 👍

I would say as soon as possible but it depends on the humidity or rain etc ive had stuff thats blasted last months without any paint stored in a dry place and they have been fine then again I've had cast that I've blasted and put in the van to drop off and by the time I got to the customer it was turning rusty

Anyone heard of the product “Hold Tight” rust inhibitor? I’m about to use it for the first time. You run it through a pressure washer and apply it right after your blast it gives you 1-3 before flash rust in high humidity environments.

@Jerry Rosell yeah to be fair I should have a drum on the van and days like these give the blasted areas a squirt unfortunately the supplier I used stopped trading and I struggle to find some in the UK or similar product at the right price

What dilution ratio do you prefer for the HoldTight? Do you apply it with a hand pump sprayer or run it through a pressure washer?

It all comes with experience mate best thing to do if your unsure is hourly rate. Only problem with hourly rate you don't quite look as professional and they aways seam to ask how long do you estimate so ya may aswell estimate it and take a gamble on your skill set and be more professional with a final price customers like to know how much stuff costs 👌 same with finding hourly rate someone with skill and a larger rig cannot be quoting same hourly rate as a guy with a smaller rig. For example blasting is blasting but 100cfm vs 600cfm your obviously 5x quicker = 5x more media derv etc then the skill and work ethic is what you value as your labour. I cannot say how much you should charge because I don't know your overheads and life requirements but I hope this give you a better idea how to land more jobs 👍

Just cannot get a break lately new problem van is too old and now I get fined £10 a day to drive in city's so Sheffield Doncaster Manchester Leeds York Bradford all my main areas. it's now a 10er a day each to even get to work but a lorry say 6L derv over 2015 is free but a 2014 2.2l sprinter isn't its a kick in the balls for smaller businesses that cannot afford newer vehicles

Clean air zone its called but yet Sheffield has a power plant smack in that zone they limit the motor way to 60mph and say its for the clean air zone when are folk going to see its a load of crap

Grade 3 what? This was medium grade crushed glass. But if I was in a booth I would pick a different grade something I would get 6 to 10x through the pot as in a booth you can capture and reuse I'm limited to 1 hit wonder so cheap as possible with the fastest cut rate for me this wouldn't suit you though 👍

@@Mobileblaster thanks so much pal.. it just says grade 3 on the bag.. my boss has bought all new equipment...like I said only done small stuff before.. but doing chassis and container's and skips from now on.. wish me luck haaaaa

When fresh metals that's just been blasted comes into contact with humidity or rain it starts to tea stain/go ginger/ slight serface rust. So I have to smarten them areas back up ie reblast them but not as heavy as the 1st pass👍

I cannot pick and choose the jobs that comes in but I do have a mini car shell not too far down my list of videos 👍

I've got a small but powerful yesper it will start something that works it don't have cranking power like trying to start something with a problem but good to get stuff with lazy batteries started 👍

Normally they keep the blasting to dry days but the wagon had been in the shop some time waiting for such the weather changed so we had an attempt this is the results haha
