I got my first cat from Craigslist. I was looking for a cat and just browsed Craigslist for fun, cause I planned on adopting from a local shelter. There I saw a warning posted on Craigslist saying that some guy was taking free pets (small rodents to kittens and puppies) and killing them or feeding them to his snakes or something like that. I freaked out and looked around to make sure I could notify anyone who was giving their pet for free, and that’s when I saw my first cat. He was a baby, he was the only cat for free in my area, + extended miles. So I ended up adopting him to protect him

I see you missed Richard Beasley. He was a serial killer who drew in victims with a ad on Craigslist (he ended up killing 3 people). He operated in Ohio and had an accomplice (this was in 2011).

I was almost kidnapped because of Craigslist at 17! If anyone ever finds themselves in this situation….scream, yell and draw as much attention to yourself and the kidnapper as possible!

How did I end up jogging in some strange guy's living room while his entire family watched me? ... I bought a treadmill on Craigslist. Very weird experience.

The fake craigslist ad for the r### one happened to me as well. It wasn't on craigslist but my old best friend had went and put all my info on porn sites knowing that I had baby siblings in my house. Thankfully I only got a text from someone on the site who gave me a link to it so I could report it and press charges, but it was terrifying. I have young siblings and at the time the youngest was around 6-8 years old.

A few years ago. I was going to a counseling center. One of the counselors there. Was showing all the people how to use Craigslist to find job postings and stuff. There was so many older males asking for preferably younger girls to come and do house cleaning activities. And such. Craigslist is full of weirdos

so basically one time, a man went on craiglist and bought something but when he went to the house to pay for it, 2 men jumped out of bushes and attacked him. the man almost died and he got rushed to the emergency room. thankfully he survived cause my mother was the one who took very good care of him in the hospital. my mom is a hero!

Ironically, in 2008, my mom found our previous landlord on Craigslist as a last resort and he ended up being our landlord for 10+ years. He never raised the rent, was very reasonable, and helped repair a lot of stuff himself, as he was a handyman. We only had to move cause of the housing market stuff going on right now and he wanted to sell the house, but he was honestly great. So Craigslist isn't all that bad, but I genuinely would not trust it, especially considering this entire video and that it was a last resort for housing back in 2008 lol
